    Fiji Rugby team is one of the entertaining team to watch in rugby due to their strength,speed and incredible offloads. There a 2 versions of rugby: Rugby 15's, 7's. In 15's they are currently ranked 8th in the world, In 7's they are the G.O.A.T's. currently the olympic champions (2 times) and world champion(3 times). The other code of Rugby is Rugby League in which their are currently ranked 7th in the world.

    At the end zone, the players are actually making an effort to touch the ball down as close to the center of the in-goal area as possible, as it can provide a more advantageous position for the subsequent conversion attempt (kicking the ball through the posts for extra points) which takes place from a line perpendicular to where the try was scored and it also sets up an advantageous position for the team when play restarts after scoring a try...so basically, Scoring near the goal posts in rugby makes it easier to get extra points through conversion kicks and penalty goals, and it puts the scoring team in a better position to start their next attack.

    Where you place the ball down in the end zone determines where/which angle you kick the ball from after a try through the goal posts, which is called a conversion.
    Try is 5 points and a sucessful conversion kick is 2 points.
    That's why you see players running around in the end zone trying to put the ball down between the posts so they can get a conversion kick directly in front of the goal posts.

    Fiji is currently ranked number 7 in the world right now. They produce the worlds best players in terms of them having speed mixed with raw power but their national team doesn’t have high level coaches to teach them set pieces and stuff so they just play like they’re going with the flow and mostly rely on their brute force and speed coupled together with offloads. If they at least had decent set pieces they’d be smoking every team. There’s two modes of rugby. One is 15s which is 15 player per team on the field and 7s which is 7 players per team on the field. Fiji in 7s is arguably the greatest national team to ever exist. In 15s fiji is ranked 7th. The reason that the 7s team is a lot better is because most of their 7s players stay back and don’t get snatched away by other national teams like what happens in 15s. Look at the Australian team. They’re littered with Fijian players. Other nations usually offer a shit ton of money to good Fijian players to play for them. In terms of accolades. The 7s team for fiji has the best out of other teams. They have 2/2 gold medals at the Olympic and 3 world cups in 7s

  • @ianarnett
    @ianarnett 11 месяцев назад +5

    The conversion, which is the equivalent of the point after in NFL, is taken from a point directly in line from where the ball was touched down to score, NOT automatically directly in front of the posts. The nearer to the posts the easier the kick, so players sometimes run in from the edge of the pitch towards the posts even though they could put the ball down, however all this time they don’t touch it down the ball is still live and could be stripped from the player with it. So it’s a decision to get as near to the posts as possible without jeopardising scoring.

    The reason why they run around in the try zone is because they can make the conversion easier instead of trying to take the kick on the very side, so they try take the try to the middle so that the conversion can be taken in front of the h post and sometimes they run around just for fun

    Where you ground the ball in the endzone is where you will kick the field goal for instance if you score at about one step from the sidelines your team will have to kick that extra point at an angle about one step from the sideline which is harder so the closer you score to goal post the smaller the angle would be when your team kicks that extra point.The guys run around and try to score underneath the goal post or in the middle of the goalposts for an easier extra point kick right in front of the goalposts like kicking an extra point in American football. If they have people from the other team back there they will prevent you from scoring closer to the goalposts to make it harder for you to kick that extra point.

  • @isirelinaisoro6047

    The ball has to touch the ground in order for the try to be awarded. They're allowed to kick and convert an extra two points after the try. However, the kick takes place from about five meters from the endzone on the same spot where the try was granted in the endzone

  • @KDucky
    @KDucky 11 месяцев назад +4

    For the end zone part or the try line you must press the ball into the gound for it to be considered a try and usuall after a try the team is given a chance to kick through the posts at goal for an additonal 2 points however depending where you scored acrosss the line would determine how far or close your kick will be for the coversion after goal the closer you make your try to the goal posts the closer the kick to goal the further away from the goal posts the further and more far the conversion kick thats why people try their best to goal closer to the goal posts so it gives the kicker some distance closer for 2 additional points

  • @strecha8439
    @strecha8439 11 месяцев назад

    When scoring in the end zone.. wherever the ball is put down(try), determines where you're kicking the 2pts from as in the angle of the kick.
    Also the ball is still live when running into the endzone. So if youre last defender can stop the person from putting the ball down.. its considered a no try. Ball always has to make contact with the ground to be awarded.

    230 lbs (104kg) is actually not a lot in Rugby, most of the players weigh more than that. Especially the forwards, sometimes they show the scrum weight. It’s usually close to 900kg (2,000 lbs) and keep in mind it’s only 8 people. So that’s an average of about 250lbs each. And I think Fiji might even be heavier than those 900kg/2,000lbs

    After you score you have to kick for an extra 2 points and where you score you will have to kick in line. So if you score on near the out line you have to kick from there and the reason they run inwards is to kick right infront of the goal

    8:11 They are actually good, but you are right about their physicality not sealing the deal. Fiji are a bit famous for suddenly losing organisation and discipline at crunch time and generally putting in random trash performances. Also, the other top teams can usually match their beastlyness in other ways. South Africa, for example, have even more powerful big guys ( the forwards ) and even faster little guys (backs), but more specialised to their position. Ireland have a sort of hivemind thing going on, where they all make the same decision at the same time, so its hard to keep up, no matter how much of an athlete you are. New Zealand usually have a bunch of guys as physical as the Fijians as well as being tactically ahead of the game. France like to have some of the straight up heaviest guys of all, backed up by a bunch of improvisational geniuses. etc etc.
    9:23 In almost every rugby highlight reel, you'll see guys with no.10 on their back getting destroyed when failing at tackling. No.10 is the fly-half position, basically equivalent to Quarterback/Kicker combined. Some of them are good tacklers, but obviously their passing and kicking is so important for that position that most teams will accept having one unreliable tackler for the sake of their attacking skills. Heavy duty ball carriers love smashing them, and will actually aim for them on their runs lol.
    The Rugby World Cup is going on right now, and NBC Sports youtube has extended match highlights, so might consider giving some of them a reaction. Fiji are doing well, and might go deep this year.

    fiji are a good side but don’t have enough funding, for training sessions and pay checks, all of the amazing players that were born in Fiji, they might play rugby for a club in New Zealand and go to the all blacks because it has more money and a stronger team, that’s why they are not the best, they are the best at rugby 7’s though that I think you should check out

    If rugby players vs NFL players in American Football, i can guarantee that non of the NFL players can get the ball off the rugby players.
    Rugby players awareness where their team mates are is just ridiculous.
    In rugby, u cant pass forward.
    But if they are allowed to do so in American Football, the NFL players will be in a whole lot of trouble.
