I was in college while making this, so it took much longer than it should have (about 4 months). The track and supports are all brass rods. The track spine is a 16/16 inch square brass rod which I bent to match the support layout and blueprints. Then I added two 1/32 inch brass rods to either side to make it look like B&M track. To make one segment of track at a time (which equivilates to about 500 feet of track in the real world) takes about 4 hours from start to finish. The landscape is comprised of just paper, cardboard, and foamcore board. The buildings are all made from cardboard. I plan to build a much larger one next year after I build "The Burrow" from Harry Potter.

Yes, I did. Then I put it together and painted it so it didn't have that metal look to it.
