If you buy something because it’s beautiful and it goes well with your wardrobe, it still means something, maybe not as deep but it means something. 💜
I think what Bethany means is that you need to be mindful of what you're buying. It's a good exercise in mindful consumption, so you're not purchasing things just because they're cute, you know? I think a lot of people pick out super cool or cute pieces but then they get sick of them and regret buying them and then go back into the landfill.

Do you ever wear watches? I like to wear my nice watch for "everyday." It's funny how that one thing makes me feel more put together, even in jeans and T shirt.
i believe she's said in previous videos that she will wear watches with casual outfits, but they aren't one of her everyday accessories.

I do agree with you, a piece is jewellery has meaning, I love the antique gold and silver pieces that I have inherited from my relatives as well as the investment pieces I have purchased over the years. Loved your perspective, I will love to pass down my pieces to my daughters.

I used to forgo jewelry, because it was such a hassle to detangle necklaces and I'm allergic to certain metals so can't always buy sterling silver or gold. But you're right, they do elevate your look. This time, I went with gold after wearing silver for years. Because higher end gold is more expensive, I'm starting out with more affordable options like gold vermeil, which is gold layered over sterling silver. There's no chance of my skin reacting to that so it's a relief to know.

Pouch everything individually and put those pouches in a box of some sort to prevent earrings from bending.

I wear both! You don't have to choose ... I have silver and gold it depends on the clothes you decide to wear that day.
Melina Cámpora I think it depends on your undertone, as in if it’s warm, cool or neutral. For warm gold works best , for cool it’s silver. I think for neutral undertone both would suit well.
You can try this. Put silver on one side (hand, fingers) and gold on the other. Compare the effects on the skin. The metal that blends more with you skin is the right one. If the metal is the first thing you see, that’s a no. Also pay attention to how healthy you skin look with the metal. ❤️ I hope it was helpful
Just wanted to add - rose gold/other colours are always an option too! I personally have an slightly warm olive undertone, and I've found the less yellow colour of rose gold works really well for me (and I love the way it looks too, of course). Hope this helps you somewhat!
it depends on your undertones. if you have cool undertones, silver works better, and if you have warm undertones, gold works better. if you don't know what your undertones are just look at the veins in your wrist. (cool undertones make veins look blue and warm undertones make veins look green.) it's possible that you're neutral, like me, and either one works for you!

Stack rings should be sized up, especially the ones with wider band width. Also, fingers may get thickened with age (not everyone, some people). Buying rings to fit larger fingers and later wear them on smaller fingers would be a way to prolong your face rings’ life span; because not every ring can be resized.

Try wearing chains with different textures/widths. For example, maybe a wheat chain and a thin herringbone or margarita chain. I had to learn that through trial/error, but it definitely works.

Hello, this is a really interesting video, Thanks! I've just received a ring made bespoke for me: It's been worth all the four month wait and expense. I've been kept informed of the process, even getting photos from the goldsmith, and I have a uniquely personal piece. I would recommend going bespoke, design it yourself and have something no one else has. It's worth every minute and every penny!
I'm very sad that I've lost one ring that belonged to my mother and another ring that belonged to my grandmother, because i never took them to re-size and they a bit big for my fingers.

My considerations are quality and occasion. Is this something I’m going to invest in, and actually use regularly. Currently my collection is gold- I don’t buy anything else no matter how pretty. I’m a ring addict, I have some stand out gemstone pieces that can choose based on where I’m going, or the outfit I’m wearing. But then I also have just gold rings I can wear everyday, and stack.

Does this brand tarnish? Or loose it’s luster after a while?
I’ve had two silver necklaces from Mejuri for over a year now, worn constantly (even in the shower, which they advise against), and there is no tarnish (they’re plated with palladium, which I think doesn’t tarnish?) or scratching-they’ve stayed shiny and clean-looking.
Hopefully someone else knows about the gold and gold-plated pieces!

That's Classic Her I haven’t been able to find that info in my research. I did find that they don’t manufacture in the US. But since their prices are so bizarrely low I don’t see how their gems would be ethically sourced. So it’s probably not. 😕

Yeah their products look stunning, but my hesitation is that they say they’re making ethical jewelry under their about section>materials, but they don’t have info to back that up front and center. Like, what do the people who make the jewelry earn? Where are the materials sourced? If they are doing things right, why are certifications and details hard to find or nonexistent? It’s a bummer.

I think it ultimately is preference, but I wear mostly gold because my skin is a pale golden tone. So if you have cool toned skin then silver might naturally complement your skin tone. ✨

It could be something your gold is alloyed with such as nickel. If you buy your gold from one jeweler or retailer try buying from somewhere else.
After watching your video, I made my first Mejuri purchase! I am extremely happy with my necklace and I will definitely be adding to my collection with Mejuri. For my first purchase I went with the vermeil the quality is very nice ( a little more yellow then I would have liked) but non the less it’s a beautiful piece. My husband loves it and I’ve received many compliments. Kudos to Mejuri and their packaging I was pleasantly surprised.

I’ve always struggled with buying rings and wearing them once I’ve bought them. I feel like they just fall off, even when they’re all the way on my hand. I’ve never worn them on my knuckles, but I feel like that would make them even more likely to slip off.

Erica Rose Jordan it sounds like your rings are perhaps to big? You could try going to a jewellery shop and having an attendant help you, or a friend if you are shopping somewhere else, maybe making sure you always try them on before you buy them. I hope that helps at least a bit!

there's this general rule that to look elegant with all your hardware, all hardware should be of the same color (metals on rings/earrings/necklaces with metals on belt buckles/bags/shoes). now i typically look good in rose gold jewelry, but then most belt buckle and handbag hardware are either in silver or gold. how do we solve this dilemma?
I don't think that you need to match all of your hardware. I would probably mix it with silver.
