We use Azure strike only when we are moving but want to continue doing damage, or we want to kite (it slows the targets with Permeating Chill class talent), or want to hit something instantly (like killing old Explosive affix). Other than that, we shouldn't really be using Azure strike. We should just spam living flame instead. It does more damage than Azure strike (with Scarlet Adaptation class talent), and can proc essence burst for free essence (Azure strike doesn't proc it in Preservation spec). There are moments I cast Azure strike but should just stand still and spam living flame... very bad habit of me! 😅

For a lizard noob, why/when do you use azure strike instead of living flame?
