@@kylecampbell1766 The question was about his dad being critical towards him in certain moments and on the other hand positive when needed and more positive now than in previous years, and whether he plays his best hockey of his career, but he answered that he has enjoyed this playoff run just as much as the last years one and would not like to compare them other than that them both have been great experiences and ones to remember
@@kylecampbell1766 Q: Sasha, you don't like to talk about yourself much, but let's ask it this way: Do you think you're playing the best hockey of your career, and also, your dad probably still follows these games pretty closely and you go through them thoroughly with him. Do you get compliments from him these days? I know he can be hard on you.
A: Well, yeah, you're right. He's been a bit better lately, maybe not as much pressure towards me as he knows how challenging and hard this is, how much energy you need to do this and how much you need to work for this. He's been pretty positive. But, when I have needed it, he's also been able to kick me in the ass when necessary, so a really big help from him. And, I don't want to, or I haven't really been thinking about at all if it has been, but surely one of the best moments for me has been this playoff journey here. Last season's journey was top notch as well and one to remember but this feels like the next step, so let's not unpack any personal performance right now, but I sure have enjoyed playing hockey right now just as much as previously.
@@kylecampbell1766 He was asked about whether he considers that he is at his prime right now. Answer: hasn't thought about it, but the current period of his career is peak in terms of the level of game, didn't want to think whether he himself is at his peak. He didn't want to start analysing himself here either, but overall he is just enjoying playing just as he always has.
The second question was if his dad is less critical at him, as he is known to be quite demanding towards Sasha, and if he has given him compliments. Answer: yeah, he has been positive, but when needed he has given also those much needed "kicks on the butt".
He really is! I am so incredibly proud of him as a Finn, if anyone deserves all this success it's him ❤
Gonna be an amazing feeling for Barkov if they win it. He has been at Panthers since he was drafted. Everyone (myself included) was thinking before that he should leave Panthers so he can have a chance at Stanley cup. Obviously they had a plan and it was all worth it.
Thank you Panthers Organization and Players for making this a hockey town. As a lifelong fan and South Floridian, I am proud of this team and seeing them improve every year has been amazing. Definitely something special happening here.

. As an outside observer this Florida team is at a different level. I think, they would have done this to anybody left standing in the Eastern Conference. They've beaten three teams that Im not so sure Edmonton could have beat in a 7 game series.
Exactly. I picked Florida going all the way months ago, you could just sense it. Some still keep saying it should've been the Stars in the final but in the end it doesn't matter because Florida is just unstoppable this year. They decided to win a long time ago and there's no other option.

Short; He asked does he feel that hes playing best hockey of his life, second question: Does his dad Barkov SR. still give only negative feedback 😂 answered hes enjoying the play as much as earlier and he feels hes ready to step up game from last year and dad has given maybe a little bit more positive feedback than before but still 'kicks 'hes ass when needed :D
Q: Sasha, we know you don't enjoy talking about yourself much, but do you think you might be playing at a level you have never reached before in your career? Is your father following the games closely, and knowing his sometimes strict opinions, is he giving feedback?
Sasha: He has been given me a bit of an easier time, considering how hard this is and how energy-consuming this all is. So he has been really positive, but of course he can offer a stern kick on the rear too if needed. I have not really given too much thought on my level of play, but like last season, this has been a campaign to remember. It does feel like a step ahead for sure, and I'm enjoying it as much as ever too.

Panthers had that kind of style which Paul Maurice quickly changed after being victimized by Tampa and took that recipe and ran with it. Not pretty, but when all buy in, it's brutal to play against.
An American team has won a Grey Cup more recently than a Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup...and that isn't changing this year.

The Panthers play a complete game. They have Bob - but there’s much more to it. They have 6 stud defensemen. And their offence is committed to D (led by Barkov). The Oilers are one-dimensional, they have weak D, average leadership, and their forwards are not committed to helping out in their end.

Most boring Stanley Cup finals ever. Panthers easiest opponent by far and I'm surprised how the Oilers even made it this far? If they were in the Eastern Conference the Oilers wouldn't even get passed round 1.
Oilers really had the most easiest opponents in the West, expect Stars. Stars won Vegas and Avalanche, but many of their key players was injured when they played against Oilers and that's why Oiler won that time and are now finals. Now they have to play against very good healthy team and that shows. Oilers got the place in the Stanley Cup final almost as a gift, while Panthers really had to beat the best teams get there.

The Panthers turned into the Claude Lemieux Devils in one year, it's So fricken boring I hate this style of hockey. Tortorella had the same game plan against the Lightning in 2019 when Columbus swept them. That being said Maurice is doing great and deserves a CUP And it helps greatly having a Goalie Peaking looking like Dryden.👌
I have only heard people praise Florida hockey for it being exciting so surprised to hear someone hate it. I personally like the "boom boom" hockey Panthers play where they constantly flurry the opponent with their forecheck and play aggressively rarely backing down.
