Hey just wanted to say I appreciate how much you are uploading in Poe 2. Your Poe 1 builds really made me think outside the box in terms of new tech. Keep up the good work.
This is a really cool demonstration of reduced duration for titan. I had made a build using cowards legacy + rise of the phoenix synergy on an infernalist and had some fun with it, even though my skill choice of flameblast was pretty bad. With a single life reservation node, you can activate low life and stack pain attunement with grinning immolation for a total of 60% more critical damage bonus. Infernalist also has solution for mana issues with pyromatic pact. While the reduced duration is not as low as titan, it would enable you to have some serious crit damage stacking for ember fusilade.
Ohhh I love the idea! Ember fussilade is such a fun skill. I am currently experimenting with using multiples of it on a Cast on ignite. I wanted to have as many embers as possible hover over me just like that Act 3 fire boss. For that I need them to stay up until I have a full salvo charged up, my sweet spot for the release seems to be on the other side of the Cast time vs Hover time function. Edit: As you have mentioned clunky playstyle. That was the reason why I thought about throwing Fussilade into a Meta, esp because if I manage to tweak one of them timing wise I can just add on more of them and simultaneously have multiples of them going off. Also awesome to see Disdain Helmet, I've been experimenting with it and Recoup effects that happen on multiple layers (i am layering ES->Mana->Life) on a Stormweaver.
Why'd you skip out on the 'gain x% extra damage as fire', near the start of the tree for warrior? It's multiplied rather than additive to the main damage similar to that crit damage node.
Bro. Thank you. I didn’t even know those nodes existed and it unlocked my build. Thanks a lot for the break down. Still don’t know how to anoint and all that but maybe you’ll have some other vids. I’m lvl 87 and feel like I’m still missing a bunch of mechanics for my build. Like scaling defenses
Loving these builds that are actually creative, utilizing weapon skill swapping effectively, and proving that "weak" classes are, in fact, powerful as any.
Way better than my ember fussilade infernalist starter lmao, love to see how you incorporated cast speed and reduced skill duration for instant shooting and not just flailing around with your balls around.
Have you played around with Unleash on Fuselade at all? Probably need to wait a small moment to actually fire all 9 but might be more damage per second with increased mobility? Not sure how the downside on Unleash repeats would interact with the extra fuselade proj.
It's a long way to the nodes, but man, it seems worth it for the Time of Need sustain alone! Even other builds and ascendencies might consider it, as even a smaller reduction in CD is quite the boon. Especially with Blood Magic, this is one heck of a combination. Amazing discovery!
something neat that you may or may not have seen before, is wild shards with ember, if you start firing right before it's done firing it'll get 8 projectiles every time
super creative and cool, there's a unique that casts Ember fusillade when you CAST anything, and you can double your socketed support gems - would be cool to see how you can break that. I think I had 11 embers around me (which looked awesome) but also scatter shot, chain > fork - as fork canmiss and chain aims the follow up projectile for you! which just looked awesome
That is super cool. Man I was hoping EF would home in on enemies so you wouldn't even have to worry about aiming with it. The forking/ricochet seems to help with the comfort though
If you use dusk vigil ashen staff + cast ember fusillade manually, you will get twice the amount(last time i tried it).. :) not sure if you can stack over 10 stacks using both of them but maybe with reduced duration it doesnt matter...also you can ofc socket the triggered ember fusillade with support gems
Awesome. I took a break from my 88 warbringer and leveled my baby titan through cruel and it is such a world apart. They clearly "balanced" melee for the titan. The ability to crank any aspect of your character to the moon by way of "hulking form" is actually OP and the small nodes going to it makes it so much easier to go giantsblood for those big 2-handers + shield. Clearly the pure "life" builds are intended to get ganked by bosses as a matter of gamedesign (dodge correctly or get f-ed) so I think you are on the right track by mixing in a bit of ES. My baby titan will be gigastacking armor by way of "brass dome" + a fat shield in order to specialize in ultimatums by invalidating a few of the otherwise nasty choices you are offered in there ("monsters always crit" will be a buff for him due to "blade catcher" notable and squashing the enemys critdamage, fire hits can safely be ignored as well through "heatproofing") but I might look for a str/int shield to swap to for bossing and I'll be having decent investment into armor/es hybridnodes and +"defenses of shield" nodes.
I am a 86lvl titan and bosses are never the issue, from the count wolf up to the t15 maps. Almost 100% of times I am dying to either ground effects like those purple volatile plants(they don't give a damn about 75% block chance on top of 75%+ all resists) or other mix of elemental bs(because I got to jump into packs of monsters to fight). Especially on maps with monster resist penetration or such - 1 meteor in the face from some djinn caster and you are sucking in your flask like a baby. 500+ Strength 75% res/block/armor meatgrinder my ass. Another trap is movement - you might use some leap slam/shield charge/etc and get stuck in place because you are facing some invisible corner of some cheeky wall, so you are stuck in animation while - you got it - meteor falls from above, plant creeps from below. Things are a bit more smooth if are really into dodge rolling, but it is...tiring, given the fact that I was building specifically fat build to not get exploded at random like my evasive monk friend. So don't get your hopes up too high, wait for some patch where they do something about total HP pool of armored builds(like hp as % of armor or more hp per str, or a-ny-thing really, whole reddit begs for it), or go straight to weirdo land and start building ES. Btw together with kickass two-handed mace and two meter tall shield I am actually wearing the same dress Neato wears in this build, because due to the power of weird math it is more effective than having 40k armor(salt aside, it it a really beautiful in battle)
@@yaroslavstarchenko4358 yea I don't have too high hopes for a "general purpose all mod clearer" (any more, though I did at first) but more specifically ultimatum where the armor + heatproofing allows me to basically nullify a lot of the stuff the trialmaster offers me (including both "impending dooms", both crit mods, blood globules 1, fire turrets to name a few). Granted the fire turrets were always a joke but now they are even more so. Last time I died on that build was due to low chaos res so I went ahead and fixed that part though the 76 ultimatium was a close call on 3rd boss due to -maxres mod and degen abilties (was lvl 77 on the titan at the time. looking forward to actually getting to put some aoe and damagenodes back in).
Nice build. I am 99% sure that chain on terrain + fork cannot hit the same target twice. I tested this with fireball (summon small projectiles on hit) / bone storm (leaves a debuff on hit) (both with 100% chance to chain from terrain) on act 1 boss in clearfell (the ice witch). If you use fireball, it will fork, then chain back from terrain, but not hit the boss and split into its small projectiles. It just flies through the boss. It might work with pierce (not tested), but forked projectiles are probably hardcoded to not hit the enemy they were created from.
It says on hovering projectiles abilities that unless stated a single cast can only hit a enemy with 1 projectile , some projectile skills do explode in the end in a AOE and those can actually shotgun anemies , if you pierce and aim behind a enemy you can pierce a enemy damaging him and then explode the projectile behind him for "double damage "
Your cast speed might be too high to make it work, but the Pain Attunement tech could work if you use Demon Stitcher gloves to sacrifice life to get down to low life. Also helps keep your Energy Shield topped off and lets you drop those points into ES recharge too
Ghost Shroud Charge gain is also affected by reduced Duration so you could actually go Evasion/es Hybrid. the small Nodes that give Evasion and ES are actually not to bad either
I thought ember fusillade was really cool but hated having to wait for it to release each cast. This is really cool and makes it feel way better to play.
could you run this on something thats not titan and use fast forward to make up for the loss in less duration bonuses? would that allow you to basically do the same thing?
I had this idea, but with: Redflare Conduit + Resonance (generating Endurance charges on hit) Charge Infusion (Removes Endurance charges every X seconds + more defense; reducing this timer consumes the charges faster for constant recharge) Endurance charge nodes (gain 9% of hp for each endurance charge consumed) Infernal Cry with reduced CD (uses all endurance charges for a whopping 63% life recovered) Life Recovery nodes for more regen Theoretically I could see this with your Time of Need addon making you relatively invincible with a large enough HP pool. Perhaps an Atziris helmet/gloves for more regen/leech, many options here to keep stacking. Probably works best on Gemling for Strength Stacking the HP pool and cheesing PotCG as the main damage source
Does reduced skill effect duration reduce the duration of critical weakness debuff on enemies from Eye of Winter? What about from Malice (scepter implicit or skill)? 7:31
Exposure & curses can push res negative. Penetration only penetrates positive res in PoE2. Pushing negative res on a monster is a true more multiplier within a separate bucket like PoE1 Defense in general is a harder problem to solve so running enfeeble is better if you don't need the damage. Sick build
Yes but without significant investment into both curse and exposure effect you're probably not going to push harder stuff into negatives, which is when it really matters. So I opted for pen to just ignore most of the positive res.
@ fair. Heard that the pen works first then curse/exposure so with how much pen you have it might be worth. Looks like you’re not lacking damage though I like enfeeble as a choice
if you could find a way to use ablation support (sacrifice 15% of life on cost) or something like soul offering (bonus spell damage) you could get your pain attunement buff and +60% spell dmg buff too anyway very creative build
Hi, really cool build! The 92% coward's legacy+atziri's disdain+rise of the phoenix with pain attunement is a great tech. I know your build is about titan but do you think it'll work well with a health stacking bloodmage? I've seen bloodmages with up to 7k health that's 175 crit damage bonus with their ascendancy passive - pretty sweet to pump with pain attunement. With defiance of destiny these set of uniques would make a good defensive shell and blood mage can trigger the 8% health loss to enter low life threshold with every spell(or maybe extraction skill support)
This might be way more powerful when templar comes out if he has some reduced duration nodes in his ascendency or it's possible to get the amount you need in a different way in the future.
I may have missed it, but, how ever are you taking advantage of the low life affix in your shield when the belt says 92%? Is it just a nice to have situational buff? Seems like a rather heavy cost (belt slot) for a buff that is conditional
Looks cool, but dmg seems kinda low. Is there any other spell/attack to use decrease duration ? I was thinking about frost bomb, but problem is with clear :/
Have you tried with the staff implicit skill Living Bomb? Edit: It's a limit skill, so the Overabundance Support Gem would give it 50% less skill effect duration
Yes, i played it for a bit. It's very good with this setup but i wanted to use the shield for defenses and living bomb only comes from staves unfortunately.
Came here to say that I tried that too, with Living Bomb. It's nice but the staff is an issue. I also noticed that the Titan can get 80% reduced duration, but I didn't think to use it with Ember Fusillade and just enough cast speed. Pretty fun idea.
have you tried seals? i did something similar with seals and got three embers for the cast of one then with scatter shot got five. the 20% hit to damage is nullified by embers themselves which add 5% damage for each ember fired, so i got a full compliment of embers per cast but i was casting them at the default speed... casting them every .26s would be insane
What about adding Psychic Fragmentation's wheel and the additional projectile nodes by Turn the Clock Forward? You can get something like an 70% chance for two additional projectiles which is about 16% more damage baseline plus the extra bit of damage from firing multiple sequential fusillades from the 5% more per pop.
If they're stacking up with these passives, you might be able to benefit from having even more reduced cast time, such as using Doedre's Tenure gloves for a large chunk of increased spell damage (which would be strong since you don't have much on the tree compared to the crit nodes you're aiming for) and some reduced cast speed to make sure the extra projectiles have a chance to launch before you start the next cast. I am not sure how strong Snakebite is though. It does seem like the forked projectiles, despite aiming towards the boss, aren't actually hitting it during the ricochets. I wonder if it'd be worth dropping the fork passives and ricochet. It might need to be played with in practice to see what's better for clear - the fork is good for hitting enemies in the back that are behind other enemies, but that might also be doable with pierce or just from having more projectiles heading their way.
Love your videos, fire tornado in Necropolis was a great starter Have you tried doing any testing with Shard Scavenger spirit gem? Works similar to time of need, could use radiant dawn for ignite.
I fell in love with Embee too, auto targeting is always great! Edit: Unleash Fireball can be your nuke skill since the mana cost can get super high Edit: wouldnt infernalist be great here since you can reserve some life and be always on low life
I did use unleash firewall for clearing for a while. The damage is lower than ember fusilade though so its not really great for single target. Yes infernalist would be good but you wouldnt be able to stack as much reduced duration.
What do you think the earliest level can be for this build to start working? I’ve got all the uniques ready and waiting, and currently using a leveling build on my titan, currently 32, but mindful I’d probably need enough levels to reach the necessary nodes to reduce duration. Looking forward to trying this out, super creative and looks really cool 👌
@@Krnguy90 So the 2nd ascendency Hulking one which gives 50% to small nodes and the two reductions to skill duration clusters seem most important. You need those for Ember Fusilage to work(and time of need fast procs). Then I'd say survivability in ES nodes, then damage stuff.
One of the skill duration clusters is at the near top of the passive tree above the sorc/witch start. The other is near the warrior start a bit to the left.
Im leveling up a char to try this build now.. and just a note to anyone else who wants to try it.. i think you really need to use WASD movement for this build.. i set the fire skill up to right mouse, and i just hold left mouse down 24/7 to aim my character in the direction i want the projectiles to go.. its too difficult if you have to kite with left click and also turn around to aim the projectiles.. WASD movement allows you to just hold down left mouse all the time to aim while running backwards or forwards.. its mandatory for this build IMO
I wonder if this same setup could work for a blood mage crit setup. I know losing the inc effect of small passives would hurt, but you'd get so much damage out of the swap if there's some way to make up for the lack of decrease skill effect duration
Dude this, and creatives like you, are what make POE so dang special. Thanks for the great idea.
have you tried to sync dura/cast speed with the wildshards snapshot bug?

This is so sick
as always, Neato coming in with creativity and super interesting builds. you sir are one of the rare jewels from the community.
So, the terrain chain is not a normal chain? I think the snakepit is preventing projectiles chaining but they chain on terrain.

Came here to say that I tried that too, with Living Bomb. It's nice but the staff is an issue.
I also noticed that the Titan can get 80% reduced duration, but I didn't think to use it with Ember Fusillade and just enough cast speed. Pretty fun idea.
great build man, hope you optimize it and show some pinnacle content
Love interesting builds like this. THIS is what Titan is meant for; [ab]using rare small node scaling.
have you tried seals?
i did something similar with seals and got three embers for the cast of one
then with scatter shot got five. the 20% hit to damage is nullified by embers themselves which add 5% damage for each ember fired, so i got a full compliment of embers per cast
but i was casting them at the default speed... casting them every .26s would be insane
Doesn't snake pit ring prevent chaining from terrain?
Oh what i thought the bonus on the small notes from the ascend. is just for attribute notes... hmmmm
Love your videos, fire tornado in Necropolis was a great starter
Have you tried doing any testing with Shard Scavenger spirit gem? Works similar to time of need, could use radiant dawn for ignite.
Shard scavenger doesnt have a duration tag so i dont think it works with reduce duration on the tree
How do you look for the prism of belief for the skill you want ?
What do you think about frostbomb? Pathing is good, 100% cdr with ardura, 2 jewels and inguenity. my only concern is defence
OMFG, YOU JUST TAUGHT ME HOW TO USE FONT OF POWER.
You think rapid fire / explosive grenade / siege cascade can work ?
great build. is there a way to make this skill shatter for better clear?
I fell in love with Embee too, auto targeting is always great!
Edit: Unleash Fireball can be your nuke skill since the mana cost can get super high
Edit: wouldnt infernalist be great here since you can reserve some life and be always on low life
I did use unleash firewall for clearing for a while. The damage is lower than ember fusilade though so its not really great for single target. Yes infernalist would be good but you wouldnt be able to stack as much reduced duration.
I don't the reserved life works like that anymore, it just lowers your life pool but it's not like PoE1 auras. So you're on full life, just lowered.
This is crazy. Props to you
What do you think the earliest level can be for this build to start working? I’ve got all the uniques ready and waiting, and currently using a leveling build on my titan, currently 32, but mindful I’d probably need enough levels to reach the necessary nodes to reduce duration. Looking forward to trying this out, super creative and looks really cool 👌
I got it working ish mid 50s
@@BrandonLeeHailoh nice! Any particular nodes you prioritized at the time?
@@Krnguy90 So the 2nd ascendency Hulking one which gives 50% to small nodes and the two reductions to skill duration clusters seem most important. You need those for Ember Fusilage to work(and time of need fast procs). Then I'd say survivability in ES nodes, then damage stuff.
One of the skill duration clusters is at the near top of the passive tree above the sorc/witch start. The other is near the warrior start a bit to the left.
@@Krnguy90 Blood magic is probably totally necessary too considering how much casting is done with this build.
I wonder if you can make a similar to poe1 build of impending doom doing titan skill effect and stacking intelligence
I wonder if this same setup could work for a blood mage crit setup. I know losing the inc effect of small passives would hurt, but you'd get so much damage out of the swap if there's some way to make up for the lack of decrease skill effect duration
