(Bhould be UD but judges often score Beterbiev punches that did not in actually land but were in fact blocked. Nevertheless, so long as Bivol doesn't get caught, this is his fight to win. I, furthermore, wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he wins by stoppage and will sooner rather than later put money on that outcome when I return home to Vegas next week.)
Bivol's greatest advantage is his age. He's six years younger, which at this level and this weight class matters a lot. Artur being as good as he is at 39 is already astounding in and of itself. I think prime Artur beats Bivol any day, but I'm not sure if Artur still is in his prime.
If I'm not mistaken in this fight, Artur Berbiev only had two weeks of training. but he still wins, ❤
And to be fair Johnson took it on short notice as well as he was ranked very low with the ibf but all the higher ranked fighters turned it down also Johnson had been very inactive he also just became British champion yet still took the fight and dropped Betebiev

Anyone can be knocked out but it doesn’t mean they will be knocked out, especially when their opponent is pillow fisted. The absolute best fighters have been dropped, that don’t mean anything. Johnson was an undefeated monster puncher who was destroyed by Beterbiev in the next round when he got dropped by him. This fight was from years ago and since then Beterbiev has been eating bombs from some of the biggest punchers at 175 and he doesn’t even budge.

У Артура нет сильных конкурентов, он абсолютно доминирует в своей категории. Так сложилось, что кроме него нет больше сильных панчеров- нокаутеров.

Johnson did his best and gave a contest. He looked pretty messed after the in close stuff, and was reluctant to try for the finish after he had convincingly put AB down. AB is physically stronger than all the opponents he has faced, and Bivol is no different.
Ab is a beast, but this Johnson put up a good fight. Al gives it to him not many fighters trade with a fighter like that
Just to say that despite being born and living in England, Callum Johnson fought for Scotland as an amateur and a professional he was captain of Scotland's Commonwealth squad. IIRC he was the first guy to drop Beterbiev.

Beterbiev was changing position as the left hook was thrown, his feet were flat in the transition, so basically a push punch, which is the best punch a boxer can throw, that is; position your opponent into standing flat footed then execute the punch. Johnson didn't do that though, he was in a slugfest and luckily caught Beterbiev in transition, whereas Bud Crawford did hit Errol Spence in transition with a jab that put Spence on his ass, that won Crawford the fight as Spence tried desperately to even the fight in the next round but ended up blowing his load to early, tiring rapidly afterward with no success. Best weapon a boxer's arsenal, putting someone on their arse without hurting them.
did you watch the knockdown. beterbiev stumbled to the corner after getting up, he steadied himself on the ropes, he was hit right on the button by a big puncher and was momentarily wobbled and hurt, beterbiev has a great chin so he recovered quickly, having a chin doesnt mean you never go down it means that if you do how fast can you recover. the guys with god like chins are the ones who dont go down

Callum hit him just before with a good right hand and then dropped him..Beterbiev is tough though, Bivol has all the advantages in movement, speed, boxing ability.. but he does not have 1 punch knockout power like Yarde and this guy.. If Bivol cannt hurt Beterbiev and make him miss all night.. Beterbiev will walk him down and eventually catch him good! This fight is all about Bivol! It is his fight to lose.. or Win if he is Equally as strong? can't wait.. Bivol has learn' to fight a certain way (Not to get hit, I used to do that! it does not prepare you well for when you DO get hit hard!) We will find out how good Bivol's chin is on this night.. Congrats to Beterbiev and well done to Johnson for the brave performance and managing to knock down Betterbiev in the 2nd after being being knocked down himself in the 1st. Not many people can say they have done that.
I’ve seen canelo and bivol far more hurt than Beterbiev ever was in this fight even though his gloves touched the canvas. Just goes to show you, even if you have a granite chin like GGG you can still have multiple losses (he would probably get stopped if he fought beterbiev tho, too small and not strong enough)
