- Sir Keir Starmer has accepted far more in gifts, benefits and hospitality than any other MP since becoming Labour leader.
The prime minister, who became Labour leader in April 2020, has received £107,145 of freebies, including £16,000 on clothing and £40,000 in tickets for football and other events, according to an analysis by Sky News’s Westminster Accounts project.

Normal companies don't allow their employees to accept expensive gifts like this, for obvious reasons. It raises the suspicion of a quid pro quo. I can't see how it's acceptable for MPs to do it.

It took almost 6 years for most of us to realise who Tony Blair really was. It has taken just 6 weeks for most of us to realise who Keir Starmer really is. Personally, I thought Keir Starmer was not a good man before a large proportion of electorate gave him a massive majority having forgotten or didn’t know what happens when you give Labour power. This should have been addressed already. They have to make him accountable for every freebie and why he has accepted it, who it is from and why that donor would be giving such things to starmer... Its not even as though it is a gift for the goverment to use, this is personal gain with no qualifications . If we as ordinary people were to accept such high value gifts because of our business, they would be declarable on our tax return forms (if we were self employed). The amount this man has accepted ,is more money than my house cost. Does he think pensioners get gifted to like this and are just pretending to be poor???
