Is there enough space behind the hoop so if you drive you won't go into the grass? Also how was the process for putting in the concrete? Thank you so much for making this video.

    • @VWorldWide
      @VWorldWide  4 года назад +2

      Thank you for the kind words, So the concrete had to be done by a contractor, I would not recommend doing that yourself, find a good contractor that works with concrete, or one you trust to do it. If not done right concrete can be a disaster, with cracks and all that. after that putting it together is really easy . They give you the diagram with the tiles numbered, you just follow that and your good.as far as the hoop system I put that in myself .I got some of the concrete from lowes poured it in a 4 ft hole let the anchor of the hoop system sit a day I think then I bolted the pole down and put everything else up. If you get this do not skimp out on the hoop system get a Goalrilla or another good brand. Mine I think was almost 2K but trust me you dont want a cheap hoop system on a nice court. Just do the research as far as those go . I believe they have some contractors who can set the entire system up for you .just look on the website. But let me know if you have anything else you would like to know .peace.

      Goodmorning thanks for stopping thru. The hoop system I got from thebasletballgoalstore.com they are put of Indiana. It is goalrilla brand 60 inch backboard. They have the entire process online it is pretty easy .you dig a 4 foot hole, pour cement down the hole.there is an anchor you put into the cement, you let that sit about a day or so I forget how long but i think it is a little more than 24hours it will tell you on the instructions. Once that is dry you then anchor you hoop pole to the anchor. You really want a good hoop system, I was going to go cheap I am glad I did not. Sorry if that was more than you asked for haha . It is better on the knees, and yes it is very slippery, its wierd because is has almost like little teeth for extra grip but ,still when it gets soaked it is slippery. • @VWorldWide
      @VWorldWide  3 года назад

      Hey, what's up thanks for checking it out. I think it would be good for indoors as well. But I do think they make on specific for indoors. This one is all-weather proof.it is not slippery at all it has little dimples for traction. The only time it gets slick is right after the rain. It does dry very quickly. And the rain flows underneath. It sits on a 4inch slope so it all runs to one end and off of the edge of the court.

    In humid florida i'm wondering how this court would hold up. We get a lot of rain and mold starts to form from standing water. I see this court has small openings for water to sit down in. Curious how it would be over time. Dirt also could blow into the openings and with seed weeds start growing. I am looking for a rubber option or some material thats easier on the knees.

    • @VWorldWide
      @VWorldWide  3 года назад +3

      Hey, thanks for checking it out. So the thing with it is there is no sitting water.when they laid the slab they put it on a 4inch slant. water runs off to the end. I have had it for 4 years now. We get all of the seasons.it gets really hot and in the winter it snows heavy. I have not had any chips in the material at all. A little discoloration from the sun but it still looks really good. It is really easy on the knees believe it or not.

    Great Video. Question... How are the edges of the court held together? For example, Could a curious, unsupervised child pull up the court or take it apart? Im asking for community center purposes.
    Thanks.

    • @VWorldWide
      @VWorldWide  5 лет назад +3

      To answer your first question, it is held together with end pieces they look like little ramps they click onto the court, and second they (child)could with some effort but they do click right back into place, what you could do is use Anchor screws for the concrete slab and anchor it down, it is what I need to do but I was really scared to damage it . Thank you for watching, it has a 25 year warranty on the tiles and they are pretty durable, we had a couple of heavy snow month's and it held up fine, very slippery when wet ,but it dries pretty quickly.

      Hello, first off thanks for the view I appreciate it,so one of the benefits it is easier on the knees , second is one that may not matter to some but the markings are all accurate down to the millimeter, but that may not matter to you, and last it looks really good but again, that may not matter to you, it is a lot cooler temperature wise also,if you do it just make sure if you have the slab poured it is done correctly, because if it is uneven it can pool in spots, there are little feet under the tile as well that wont sit on the concrete slab correctly and you will get dead spots.also make sure there is about a four inch slope so when it rains it will run off to one end, and don't worry about the slope you wont notice it at all, I would do it again if I had a chance ,my boys love it, let me know if you have anymore questions.

      What up amn congrats on the court. Yeah what you see is the rebounder, i also got that from Versacourt. Other companies have it too,but that is where I got mine.i set it up on my own .you have to pour concrete for that as well . It has bungee bords holding the net in place so you get that rebound effect.

    Thank you for sharing. I had a few questions and if you don’t mind sharing. What is the dimension of the concrete slab? What option did you chose for half court? (H8, H10 or 3x3) and was your overall cost with concrete, hoop system purchase and installation and Versacourt system?

    • @VWorldWide
      @VWorldWide  2 года назад +2

      Oh wow I'm not sure about the choice, I know we went with high school dimensions. The slab we got a really good deal, it was a guy we use for our landscaping he charged 5k I was told that was very cheap. I'm not sure what they charge at Versa court I know they have contractors that can do it. I also am able to get you a discount if you are interested. Just send me an Email and they will take care of it for you. I also think you can ask them what set up I have they have it on file I don't mind if you ask which one I picked.

      Hey thanks for stopping thru.do you mean does it move while playing on it? If so over time it does but not like right away It is extremely heavy.so there are anchor points that you are supposed to put in concrete screws,I'm just not brave enough to do it lol, I just didnt want to mess up the concrete, just paranoia I guess . It takes a long time for it to move I'm talking maybe an inch over a 6 month period.

    • @VWorldWide

      I got a good deal on the slab it was 5k ,it took 3days for the cement to dry ,shipping on the court about a week so two weeks in all.i never knew concrete was so expensive,you could also go with impacted rocks as well.just make sure if you do it, they put a 4inch slant on it so the water runs off to one side.and as far as the court if you call you can negotiate the price down.in all It is half the cost and none of the hassel of a pool.

    • @VWorldWide

    Does the tile affect the bounciness of the ball compared to wood or concrete floor?

    • @VWorldWide
      @VWorldWide  5 лет назад +7

      It actually does not,it bounces if on qood,I heard people complain of dead spots,I have not encountered any at all,it has little grips on the flooring so I am not sure how an indoor ball would be on it. I know it is better on the knees . Thanks for the view, let me know if you have any other questions.

    • @VWorldWide
      @VWorldWide  4 года назад +2

      @@mikedemasi5137 Hey thanks for stopping thru ,the ball bounces like a wood court ,you can hear the bounce but it isnt bad ,my neighbors never complain. You will not be disappointed, I have had mine 4 years now,and times like now it has been very useful to have .it still looks and plays well. Just make sure they get a nice pour on the cement or you could get dead spots. On the site they reccomend a 4inch slope as well that is what I have on mine ,so when it rains or snows the water runs all to one end underneath the tile. So it's not like the court is thicker on one end,the entire thing slopes . It is 4inches thick I believe.
