many of the hero/class combinations are excellent. I watched a guy heavy attack mace/sword ( I think it was) his way through cataclysm modded to be many times harder. The only attacks he did was heavy attacks over and over, and he never even got hit.

I recently tried spear and shield for the first time and once you get your combos down it is so nice. Staggering monks out of their combos with opportunist never gets old.
I'd put glaive as S tier due to solid cleave, wide l1/l2 sweeps into hordes, armor piercing, high damage, and especially that h1-h2 combo that deletes elites and with a concoction pot will actually even shred bosses.
Glad to see the Spear and shield up there at the top cus I think it's just the coolest weapon for her. Also reinforced my suspicion that daggers are OP.
Cloak of mist shade is very op. I have 300 levels or so on shade alone, the amount of ridiculous stuff you can pull off if you combine cloak of mist with vanish is just silly.
It's also pretty good on handmaiden. Good dodge distance and 100 dodges, as well as no weaknesses outside of comparitively low damage. Has good synergy with her already superb defense.
Her worst weapon is her venomous attitude. When someone plays Kerillian I play Kruber just to counter her voice lines with inspiring voice lines from the footknight.
still dont get why they removed the linesman (or was it heavy lm? i cant even remember exactly) from heavy 2 on 1h sword, feels akward to use now but the list looks on point to me overall, nice vid ^^
Has anything changed? When I look at the stats in game they single sword looks like it has amazing armor damage. Way higher than the other sword weapons. Just curious how trustworthy the in game stats are on the current patch.
I would like to add that the one handed sword realy shines on handmaiden, take the talent which gives you attack spead and power on push and only do the first two light attacks then block push (repeat). Add a crit and you are looking at 35% Attackspeed PLUS the extra strenght, against normal hords this weapon wrecks. Headshots on minions are quit easy. For elites dance left and right and do heavys. For Handmaiden i would put it in A at least.
Fun fact: the axe is not too terrible in the Chaos Wastes. I know, I do sound crazy. But.. just try this shit xD There are a lot of ways to remedy its abysmal cleave and weird move patterns.

Depends on the character, but yes. On sister with scrounger it's really strong as a crit will refund an entire javelin back so you basically get free shots. It's good on waystalker with blood shot to make it fire twice in one shot. I'm not really a fan of it on shade, but on handmaiden if you run dance of blades you can dodge and get 10% extra power easily.
I run it on WS with a spear as a secondary weapon. Basically, javelins suck in melee with a horde, but if you can keep your distance, you can mow them down with a ridiculous ease. Elites, bosses and specials all melt to javelins, so right now I'm working on my dodges. I bet that when I master the art of fighting without blocking or pushing, I will be able to only use the spear when surrounded in a tight place.
I wouldn't say she's 'broken'. No matter who you play in this game, you must master the mechanics. In that sense ironbreaker can be considered 'broken' because gromnil armor can basically mean it covers for your occasional mistake. It's not unusual for ironbreaker to have lowest damage taken, sometimes even close to 0. And in the end, least damage taken is one of the most important stats.

There's a mod called armory that you can use to see the specific traits and stuff on all the weapons. It's approved for official realm too which is nice.
@@lukerobinson6720 I don't think the Armory affects it at all on maps, since you only get access to its content in the keep. I suppose it can make you game load a bit slower when you start it from Steam, but that's it.

I recently received a red sword and dagger, my favorite weapon! With really good modifiers that were obviously maxed out! What joy! ...aaaand it's at power level 185. Does power matter enough that I shouldn't use this perfect weapon? Is there anything I can do to bump it up? Or am I just cursed to salvage a perfect weapon because I happened to receive it too early?
Yea the more chests you open the higher the power level. It'll be fine for lower difficulties, but I wouldn't bring into legend or higher. At least you get some red dust ya know?
@@Csatadi i really wanted to disagree with you at the time, but you’re right. For some reason the Sword and Dagger oranges look more red than orange. So that combined with it having perfect stats really threw me off
What matters most is finding a red item of the type you want, as properties and traits can be rerolled for an affordable price in orange dust. So no need to worry about those so much :).
may i ask how do u switch weapons that fast? at 1:39 where u kill that assassin rat. i sometimes find myself trying to block just to realise im aiming with my ranged weapon
For that part Wet was using the lvl 30 perk Loaded Arrow?? I forgot the name. It changes your ult from multiple arrows to one powerful arrow that you have to aim yourself. If you get a head shot with your ult you get 100% of your ult back. The only trick that I know about switching weapons faster is block + push attack + q (i may have missed something here or added the push attack). It cancels the animation where you bring up the weapon, so you almost instantly have your ranged in your hand. I use this with bounty hunter with rapier + griffonfoot. I kill 1 thing, push attack + q into griffonfoot and shoot the horde and switch back to melee.
I would actually give the 1handed sword a B tier or Even go ad far as A, its got great horde clear and devestating heavy attacks, and granted they Are slow but they hit super Hard.
but whats the difference between linesman and tank? u said it is a cleave bonus, but how or in what does it work? Is linesman for slaves-like creatures?, is heavylinesma for medium enemies like stromverminds?, does the tank modifier make u able to cleave several hyperarmored enemies like caos warriors? Im confused xd
@@edudcb9989 Heavy linesman is the same as linesman except it's just more enemies you can cleave through basically. Only for infantry, just more. You're welcome though.

Tank works for infantry and armor (not chaos warriors) Linesman works against infantry and berserkers (monks and savages) Heavy linesman works against all of the above including chaos warriors. It should still be noted that an attack that has tank is not guaranteed to be able to cleave armor. There is a hidden modifier to attacks that determines whether they can or cannot cleave armor. Coghammer for example has tank on lights but can never cleave armor. Finally I don't remember where maulers fit in. I think tank works linesman doesn't and heavy works but I'm not sure
Fatshark should've just made the sword and axe dual-wielding weapons like for Saltz and Kruber or just paired those weapons with shields, either way, it would have made them better.
Cleave axe is op……you can shrewd hordes and do good dps to elites and boss and monsters…..ok elf is not as good as mercenary for hordes but still she is realy good…..
900 of my hours in this game are on shade dagger/dagger and I felt less impressive with my soloing of a boss after grail knight came out and could just walk up and do it, no positioning required.

For me its about what mood I am in then playing the best class. I play all classes except the wizard that dont suit my playstyle at all. Now I playing Marcus alot because its fun for the moment, The soldier and the dwarf is so maxed out and I am tired of playing them
The helmet is what is gross, the skin is actually quite nice. I like it with her default hood because that adjusts to the color of whatever armor she has on.

I run waystalker with the great sword because, like you said, it doesn't do amazing dmg, therefore, it helps build temp hp rather easily and fast

Wet's recent video on the horde clearing shade build made me fall in love with the class.

I just love the dynamic of double swords, i just feel comfy with them with the heavys, and i use javelin for armor and im ok
I think I am literally the only person who loves the one handed sword. It's utility is perfect for me on waystalker, great for getting into position.
You are not alone it is a fun weapon! Heavy 1 into AP light stab is great!

Reds can only be lvl 300. It must be an orange.

Forget about weapon stats until you reach item power 300. Every weapon you get until that point will be obsolete a few chests/craftings later.
What matters most is finding a red item of the type you want, as properties and traits can be rerolled for an affordable price in orange dust. So no need to worry about those so much :).

I find it specifically good on SOT with the amount of crits it gets paired with her talents, it’s my main for that class no doubt

Linesman is for cleaving infantry and tank is for cleaving armor. That's really the only difference.

Axe is D tier and S tier, to make it S tier you must change some talents and adapt play style and use those dodges.

Glaive is hopelessly too unsafe and struggles with mixed hordes. Definitely not S tier. Good damage, but doesn't keep up on higher difficulties.
Not putting greatsword as S tier... not mentioning how it has the best movespeed tech in the game.. im disappoint
