I actually have also front low fenders for the 701 in the workshop but I don’t recommend it especially in Europe due to mud. Also at Dakar these days they run high fender. But I agree that the bike looks cooler with the low fender

Manuel, love your videos. I have a KTM690 which just blew a head gasket. I wasn't riding like a hooligan, just normal riding. My mechanic says the 690 just isn't designed to go all day on the highway. Any thoughts? Anything I can do to avoid this once I have my engine rebuilt? Just asking cos I see you talking about riding to Mongolia on your 701 which suggests you think the bike is capable of all day, long distance riding. You can't get to Mongolia without riding a few highways, I presume... I'd be grateful for any advice! Thanks
Here in Australia, the 701/690 is super popular, and mostly for outback rides, which can be thousands of km's at highway speeds in high heat. The bikes seem to cope really well. I just did an 8,000km trip on mine in 40C heat, usually 8 hours a day, traveling 80km/h - 130km/h and I went through no oil, and the engine temp gauge never went close to a danger zone. I have a 2020 701 LR. Mine is with stock gearing.

No the 390 adventure has the footpegs pointing low to the ground (more like a naked bike rather than an offroad one) the 701 has the footpegs at the angle like all offroad bikes
To clarify, Husqvarna did a limited, one time run of approximately 400 “LR” titled bikes in 2020. After 2020, the “LR retrofit kit” will be sold for standard 701 and 690 bikes. Yes, there was a recall on the fuel lines for the front tank, but that had nothing to do with the limited production run. They also just issued a recall for the hydraulic clutch slave across the 690/701 Enduro line due to reported failures, something owners have been complaining about for years.

are you sure the rade garage air filter mod is street legal, cause I thought it's not (german TÜV).

FYI Husqvarna discontinued the 701 LR in 2020 after recalling all sold one for chafing problem in the fuel line that can occure fire
