I really got a lot out of the first 2 tutorials you made for Avorian! Newbie here, and your video out of many has been the greatest benefits to me. Really hoping you continue on with a 3rd and beyond. Thanks! :) ^5
I was hoping they would be useful videos. Sadly it does take a while to learn, research and get everything rolling. There will be more video's though, just waiting for the development on the guns to slow a little. Then I will probably get back on the horse again for Avorion. The main slowdown is that youtube kicked me off the program so I don't earn anything anymore so getting motivation to continue doing some stuff is difficult when my time has been redirected to things that do pay me. However I will say I do intend to finish any tutorial series I start making. If you guys have and idea's for next videos I always read the comments, and am always open to suggestions.
Personally when starting a new game I usually build my first ship at a couple thousand iron and very little or no titanium - I can usually get a semi-decent ship that allows faster mining after creation. However, upgrading with a Titanium generator and integrity field soon is very helpful in overall capability.
Personally I do the same, however for the purposes of making a quick guide, I kept it down to bare minimum requirements. As for quick guides people do actually want it to be less than 30 minutes long. I personally don't use integrity field because people confuse it with shields and do not wish to confuse that any further. But yeah usually I build my ship up a lot more before really getting into fights.
Enjoyed this video.. nicely done and a good introduction. What are your thoughts on Avorion gameplay-wise? I've had it for a while, but seem to 'bounce off it' a bit. I'm not all that big on the building side of things and came at this looking for an interesting alternative to X3 / X Rebirth / Evochron / E:D.. so mainly focused on exploring, trading, contracts, combat, spaceflight, empire building, etc. So far I find I just spend a few hours in Avorion before finding it clunky and deciding the other games do these things better.. but i think maybe I'm missing something..?

Also you can cover thrusters in the current build, as doing so does not change their effectiveness, and they are more fragile than armor.

Avorion is okay in bursts for me. That's why i've only got a few tutorials up at the moment. When I get back into it I will continue making em. XD
