I took a road trip to Oregon and made a stop in Eugene, Oregon. We drove up from San Francisco to Eugene, Oregon. We stopped in Redding, CA, Ashland, OR, Philomath, OR and Jacksonville OR. First we stopped for some tea at Townshend’s Eugene Teahouse. They have 100 different types of tea, as well as kombucha. They have a large menu with green, black, chai and other kinds of tea! We walked along the Willamette river, stopping at many parks including the Skinner Butte Park and the Owen Rose Garden. These parks are all connected by a path along the Willamette River. We went to the Cascades Raptor Center which is a wildlife center with raptors, a group of birds, including hawks, eagles, falcons, owls etc. This is a wildlife hospital and refuge for these injured birds from the Oregon area. We also went to the 5th Street Public Market which a cool thing to do in Eugene, it has many shops, restaurants, cafes in Eugene.

Hi Jamie. Another great vlog and some beautiful scenes. Spotted a Turkey Vulture there....we saw some of these sitting on the beach on the West Coast of California near the Big Sur....amamzing to see them in the wild 🙂

It’s in the Willamette Valley, a 2 hour drive South of Portland. 3 hours from the California border. 😎
Great video! Eugene looks like a very cool place. I would definitely enjoy the Cascade Raptor Center as all the different birds there look really cool! I'll have to check out Eugene in the future!

My kind of city .outdoorsy lots to do .fun city .not borring.??
It’s cool. It’s a lot smaller than Portland so less to do than in a big city, but if you like the outdoors you probably wouldn’t find it boring! It is a college town too so there are lots of activities going on.
Oregon, I was there last year in an exchange, this video reminds me of an incredible experience, loved music u chose, I need to go back soon, If u want you can check the video i posted about my experience there

Taking a trip there in August for a week. Looking into moving there. But not sure if it will be easy finding a apartment. I work security so job is easy to get. Great video. Can’t wait to get there

Nice video. I Travel to Eugene reguarly on business and it is a scenic area. But to be fair to people who plan to visit, it has the highest homeless population of anywhere I've ever been. This may not be an issue to many, but it needs to pointed out. Also the road system in the town is very convoluted and confusing. You will need your gps app.
+Erik Hertzer yes very good point! I was going to try and shoot some of the homeless people but couldn't really get any good shots on my phone without being invasive. Definitely an issue there though! And yes it was difficult to navigate, good thing we had our gps. Thanks for watching & commenting Erik!

I just moved to the path/trail on the other side of the one you are on! (Other side of the Willamette) My apartment is parallel to a scenic trail that goes all the way into downtown! I love Eugene

Eugene, Oregon is a good place to get educated but not the best place to live forever.
I guess it depends on the person! It seems like a relaxing place to live. And definitely a fun place to go to school!
