Lol true ! That’s why I’m here , we want our 2,600 deposit back :)
Damn right lol
One of the most simplistic, straight to the point DYI videos on RUclips. Double thumbs up!
Your videos are straight to the point, informative, and have clear instructions. Keep up the great work!
@@MrFixItDIY You are very welcome! The fact you don't ramble on for 10 minutes before even starting the video topic should get thousands of subscribers one would think! Lol
Josh Ferguson Mhm
Glad to see your hand is recovered. I don't work with wood but like to watch these videos, every time I see a table saw in one of them I remember everything you said that time and can notice the precautions everyone has around those tools.
Keep up with the great content.
Straight to the point. Exactly what I was looking for
Straight to the point and informative. 👍🏻
I looked at three videos after yours and so far yours is just more convenient, faster, and the easiest way to do it thank you and thanks for the video
Excellent, concise and informative,thank you!
Really like your ideas. Will try them this week! Thank you
Great vid!! This did the trick and it was a lot easier than I expected
This is a very well-done video. Thanks!
That last one was really good. I’ll give it a try. Thanks.
Wow wonderful. Love it!!!!❤️❤️
This was an awesome helpful video, Thanks!
Very helpful video indeed! I had the scratches on my wood flooring fixed.
Thank you so much for this useful video.
Great advice. Thanks for this
Very helpful, thank you!
Thank you I’m going to try this method 💪🏾💪🏾
Good tips! Thanks, Aaron!
Thank you. Very helpful
I just want to say thanks if I didn’t already. My floors in my old apartment were insanely beat up and ugly but I followed these tips on far worse scratches and dents then seen in the video and it covered up everything - I didn’t lose a single dollar of the damage deposit. Thank you!
This gives me hope. I had some dents and scratches from a bed frame I was worried about the damage EXCEEDING my security deposit
@@mrdad-zl9zl don’t be afraid to try and blend and recover the wood grains. A good amount of blending will be convincing. Good luck!
Love your videos and thank you for sharing 👍😃
Finally a useful video.
I used a brown colored pencil, blended it with my finger, it worked magically!
Thanks!
Super cool video!
Good idea. Thanks
Thank you!
you saved my life man, my mom was out shopping and I scratched the kitchen floor whule she was gone, with a simple brown marker and some melted brown and tan crayon I fixed it 30 minutes, and she doesnt know
Great Video Life Saver!!!
Great stuff.
this video saved my life. I scratched the floor only a little bit and felt like it's the end of the world (very scary German landlord)...😭 now I know I can fix it with a stain pen and immediately my anxiety level went down. thank you TUT
Hahahaha I’m happy for u
Very helpful! 🕊
Game changer! 💯
Thank you!!
Great video
Thank you
Thank you very much you are a star
Thank you the movers scratched my floor!
Thank u!!!
my parents told me not to move a cabinet in my room by myself and my disobedient behind did and welp ended up with this video, which I have nothing of what I need in order to fix it :(
Ingrid Gaitan I understand your pain except mines was my bed frame. And now I’m trying to fix it before my parents come home 🙄
I did the same, ny parents kept saying we will help you with it but they took like 3 weeks to move a simple furniture so I moved it myself
Ditto. Couches, cabinets, miscilenious scratches in the middle of the room. I just gotta identify what color stain I need and some wood filler
Beware of metal ladders with missing padding on the bottom ! And, beware of painters who bring in that ladder !
Thank you I’m moving out of my apartment soon and I need to fix the floor towel
You are fixing a towel?
thx you
Thanks for this, I just scratched the living daylight out of my parents living room floor trying to move some furniture around and I don't want them to yell at me lol 😂
If you are a homeowner and you are experiencing severe anxiety over a scratch on your hardwood floor, you need to look at what's happening in the real world and be thankful all you have to deal with is a scratch.
My man!
Oh my gosh! You saved me from my dad, thank youuuu!!😅
i have hard wood wardrobes and my young son carved his initials on one of the doors. i heard a tip of taking a Walnut and rubbing it over the scratches. Well that was 10 years ago and honestly i have to search for it to see it. The Walnut worked a treat.
I was wondering how walnut worked for deep and intentional type damage! My son is almost 5, and he makes off with pens when I'm not looking.
@@mandimystic4437 if the scratches are very deep I would suggest a wood filler stained to match your furniture but for colouring pens I’ve used lighter fluid and for ball point ink Hairspray can dissolve it.
I just found your channel and woohoo....
So all I need is one of my nieces art kits...Bet!!!
That's why I'm looking now! 😂
Can you recommend some brands of stain pen?
Thank God
Soooo...what do you do if your dog has scratched every square inch of your hardwood floors with their nails? 😂
Put the dog to sleep.
Ye better sand that floor down, then give er a nice staining. Then Finish that up with a nice poly coating.
You are not the only one
That's why I'm here!!!
Make sure you choose a mat gloss when you refinish.
Pov: you are moving out
For a quick and cheap fix for light scratches- buy a bag of walnuts and rub them into the scratches. This helps fill the scratch, and the natural oil from the walnuts also helps. It's not perfect, but it will improve the scratched areas significantly.
Hello. I’m interested in the first method but can’t find that yellow repair pen. What’s the brand? Thanks
Update I got my deposit back 😎
What if the surface is a non luster non sheen finish. How do you match the sheen correctly?
scratched my floor moving my bed and i’ve been hiding it forever and my mom told me to clean up that white stuff on the floor🥰 i’m dead😋
How do i know what stain i have ?!? Match to right pencil
Saw a red truck on the freeway with "me fix it" in the back
Do these hacks apply to engineered wood floors? Thanks for replying!
Depends on how deep the scratch is but yeah
me n my sister committed an oopsie while carrying a large table to another room....
What about gaps ?
What If your a teenager and you scratched your clubhouse floor while moving a couch and all you have is your dork siblings and paper towels? 😶
Same here man, im screwed
How about getting rid of a scratch on a floor in a school. I don't know if it is a porcelain floor or something else but the scratch isn't a black scratch it is just a scratch that is the same color as the school tile is.
I used a dark color stain on the scratch as compared to the color of stain on the floor can you please let me know how to fix it?
Fill with wax the same color as the floor
My room has 4 scrape because of my bed that rolled alot
Do these work on fake wood
I just put a massive scratch in my floor moving a armoire
1.26 looks like a lighter piece of wood to the one he shows at the end?? Good video though
Can someone help me pls? I have permanent marker in my floor boards and WILL NOT COME OFF. I have tried every substance, from toothpaste to alcohol based products and things the hardware store guys recommended. But nothing will get it off the floor boards. Will I have to sand it out? And how can I do that without it looking super bad? It's on a large surface. My 2 yr old got to the pens. Lol
i moved a wooden coffee table to the wall and then back to in front of the couch and now its only a matter of time before my parents find the scratch across the room
So what happened when they saw the scratch?
@@lisaln3987 Rumor has it, he is still hand sanding til this very day
Lol i said to my mom this sctach was already been here
Why do they care so much about small floor scratches right :D
i moved a cabinet and yea...
My mom is mad I moved my bed and scratched the floor
Same and I’m trying to fix it before I have to pay $2,000 for the floors 🙃 for 4 scratches
I dropped a 35 pound dumbell on my floor
Yeah, mum is going to find out. 😩
😅
Like Steve from WWMM channel said. RUclips is encouraging quick tips kind of videos over project build videos. Makes me sad....
You look like Daniel Radcliffe
I still don’t see what the big deal is when u leave a tiny tiny scratch on the floor but thanks for the video, I can now please my home owner👍🏻
It s because problem perfectionist
I hope the homeowner don’t notice it
Anybody here watch narcos? Ain't that one of the detectives 🤔
I dragged a board across my floor and it left a scratch the whole way. I think Im fucked
Doesn't work. I actually used acrylic paints then applied 2-3 coats of floor polish over it.
Good to know. Did you use different colors to mimic the floor?
ANXIETY? LOL that's a stretch
mom is going to kill me
What if you're a teen living at a rental apartment with your mum and don't want to disappoint her (again)
They should learn to lighten up, and get rugs.
You have the best solutions but you talk so fast I get more anxious than I was before watching the video. Calm down please and thnx. .
Sounds like a you problem!
Well, I’m quite disappointed as you stated “fix”, not hide. I think those are obvious solutions as far as hiding the colour of a scratch, but I was hoping you’d show how to actually FIX the scratch and make it pretty much invisible with little or no texture of the scratch showing, especially with a scratch going against the grain. I think you should change the word “Fix” in your title to “Hide” or “Disguise”.
That's option 3
Or just buy a new home
Thanks!
Thank you!
