  • www.truthforli... | by: Alistair Begg ― The reality of all that God has done for us in Christ Jesus should cause us to ponder why God would shower His blessings on undeserving sinners. The Apostle Paul wrote that God's reasons are based in His character of love, mercy, grace, and kindness. In this message, Alistair Begg explores these motivations and teaches that, just as we rely on God's grace for our salvation, we must also depend on His grace to empower us to obey and follow him day by day.

I tried for years to figure out the key to Christian faith. It wasn't until I gave up trying that God gave me my faith in Jesus Christ. I'll never forget that amazing moment. Thank you God for your grace. Thank you Alistair and Truth For Life for all your work.

We are not saved by works but for works. Works are the very evidence of His Grace.

I love Alistair and his teaching. Thank God for a man who is teaching solid bible truth. It seems it is becoming more and more rare these days. He strikes a serious resemblence to Paul McCartney.

Thank you Lord for loving me, even when I find myself unloveable for my sins you come in and show me how truly loved I am by you. Forgive me Lord, thank you for your love and mercy and forgiveness that never ceases and is eternal. Thank you Lord.

As I sit and listen to a man that displays his agape love for Christ, what is more amazing is watching as he continually is finding new meaning in the very scriptures he is teaching us. The look on his face at he is being consistently rewarded with new insight from Our Father is something to behold. May our teacher Alister live many more years so his wonderfully easy lessons are shared the world over to all in need of truth.

And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. Hebrews 5:9

We must receive the Holy Spirit, be considered a child of God, AND be in Christ to enter Heaven - ALL of which require continual obedience to God’s laws.
And course we are saved by grace from our *past* sins through Christ’s blood. If we aren’t practicing righteousness after that we are spitting on God’s grace and earning damnation all over again.

We can not be sinless in our earthly body, if we have believed in Christ our spirit has been quickened, but in this fallen physical body we continue to sin, but the Holy Spirit convictes us of sin and if we believe we are tormented about our sin till we confess it as such. One day Christ will give us a sinless body like his, then we will be able to be in Gods presence truly sinless and righteous. Alisster am I Right or wrong in this?

You are not a 'sinner', you are not 'fallen'. I am sure you are a good person and that is all you need to be. Religions want you to think you are a bad person so that you will turn to them (and maybe give them money). It is a con. Grow up, take responsibility for your own actions and stop hoping that an imaginary person can make you perfect.

Kendall Bise; Ephesians 4:20... But you did not so learn Christ! Assuming that you have really heard Him and been taught by Him, as (all) Truth is in Jesus (embodied and personified in Him).
Strip yourselves of your former nature (put off and discard your old unrenewed self) which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; And be constantly renewed in the SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND (having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude), And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image (Godlike) in true righteousness and holiness.
Remember Kendell, to be a disciple of the Lord, we are to be BORN AGAIN, BORN OF THE SPIRIT! If we then walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfil the lusts of the flesh.(2nd Corinthians 5:17)

@@haylee5769 Where in the bible did you read that? After regeneration our sins are no longer counted against us. Jesus was the ONLY sinless person to walk the earth.
