- This truck is out of a Pasadena Estate, the engine fires up and runs well, the transmission shifts in every gear, the clutch shifts good, the brakes seem good, the tires are good, the winshield has a crack in it, it has a dent on the hood, and a few dings and dents in different spots, it has the original paint and original interior, it has a small crease on the seat, the headliner looks to have lost its original glue and has some small pieces of wood helping it up, the dash has a small crack, the reg expired in 2012, it has averaged only 1061 miles per year which is quite low for a 39 year old vehicle
Love these old school Toyota trucks. Rock solid. Original owner of an 06 Tacoma 4x4 with 299,000 miles. Treat them nice and they'll last a generation.
I have too, Toyota Hilux second generation 1977 RN25 R12 original Engine Long bed pick up. The condition still good and running well as a new car.
I love this toyota pickup generation
Lovely looking Toyota truck. My stepdad had one similar to this, except his was orange, with SR5 decals on it. It had a 20R engine powering it. It had a 5spd manual shifting transmission. It also had twin bucket seats. It had AM/FM radio. I loved the truck. Sadly, by the time we got rid of it, its body was rusted so badly, that it's any wonder it was still driveable.
Right on, Yea they are cool little rigs, I've always had a soft spot for them and you never see them around too much anymore. I acquired this one and am absolutely amazed at how original and untouched it is. This still has factory chalk marks on the frame and in the engine bay.

Everything about my dad's 78 Toyota (Hilux) Pickup truck looks the same, except the colour and the condition.
Awesome! I've always loved Toyota trucks of the 70s through the early 90s. They're smaller than the Tundra, and are generally better looking (I think) than the current generation Tacoma.
I have that same truck as your dad had. I bought mine in September of 1977. I'm still driving it today. I call the color burnt orange. It passes smog every two years. I have had a number of people wanting to buy it. I tell them I am still test driving it and haven't decided if I want it or not. lol It has 147,600+ miles on it. I bought new chrome wheels for it about 5 years back. I lived out in the country and a dog pack came by at least once a week and left their calling card all over my OEM wheels. Back five years a company bent one of the wheels when I took it in to have the tires balanced. That was when I decided to get some nice looking wheels for it.
