at 11:30, the physicist full name is Edward Witten and are one of the godfathers of string theory - also considered to be one of the greatest minds of this generation. pretty cool to have a guy like that reading your paper and thinking your thesis could apply to his work.

Amazing talent, for sure. Some suspect they discovered machine learning (statistical learning) before anyone else.
But let's not also forget that he maliciously hid billions of dollars offshore in order to evade taxes, that would have otherwise gone towards the collective betterment of society.
"Confidential legal files from 2010 show lawyers and advisers for Simons worked to protect him and his children from “particularly severe” US tax bills that would be triggered if they tried to bring the funds onshore. Bermuda imposes no taxes on profits or income.
The Simons trust was revealed in the Paradise Papers, millions of leaked offshore files reviewed by the Guardian, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and others. The files give a rare glimpse inside trusts used by the super-rich to ensure confidentiality and minimal regulation."

I just ran into the theory mentioned, but haven’t unfolded it just yet. The minimum surfaces thing reminds us that least action is always just around the corner no matter where you are working within the hierarchy of natural phenomena and principles.
The soap bubble demonstration he mentioned is quite stunning for the uninitiated, this realization that there is an ordering preference or bias, already baked into our universe, and reappears at every turn.
Stuck in a model? Look for least action, it’s like taking an aspirin for a headache. I wonder now where it resides within this theory of his.

the best market strategy is to work with a credible investing coach. Since a while ago, I've been in touch with a coach, mostly because I lack the depth of understanding and mental toughness to deal with the ongoing market conditions. You lack the information necessary to succeed in a competitive market, not because you're doing anything wrong, but rather because of your lack of experience.

I was used to do the same thing doubling the 2 when I was 8 years old. Next step is 2048, but by this time you of course know it =). The fact is I am 28 years old now I could not addapt to traditional education in my country (Spain) so I didn't go to any university... but I am still learning and publishing modestly by my way. I am still interested in numbers (even the number 2) but things become harder when you try to rise and rise powers in some function... I am very interested in some called tetration (next step to power in operator algebras). I you telling this here becouse some days ago I had a revelation... If I follow the criteria of solve towers of numbers from "top to celling" like Eulers did to solve Fermat Prime Conjecture, instead of my own criteria of solving the towers from "celling to top", my work in "exponentory" (functional operator for serial exponent) and my work in tetration properties are wrong, I had never in my life an identical reality shock... I comment it here becouse maeby some of the audience of this video can understand me in some way. Anyway, thanks to Simons to sharing his experience.

    • @juaneliasmillasvera

@@bma1955alimarber By traditional education I mean the nowadays education system of Spain, must to learn advanced-like Linguistics in Spanish and English, History of Spain and History of Filosophy, Physics from XVIII and XIX century and other topics like choose between Technology classes or Biology classes before you can go to University in any scientific area. It is totally absurd how outdated the middle-high education in my country is... The fact is everybody knows that but the young people think: "Well just 2 o 3 bad years and then I will study interesting things", but in my case I could not accept that, and just become self-taught.

Myself I am mathematician with AS, but I was not funded for my research in mathematics, I have done research in maths during 20 years without almost any money ! When I contacted this foundation unfortunately they didn't help me. My frustration was to not be able to contact Jim or Marylin directly. I am sure that if I had the chance to explain to them directly my work and my situation, they could have helped me. The problem of this kind of foundation is this multitude of people who are like a barrier between the people who really need help in accordance with the aim of this foundation and the real help provided by the Foundation.

Hah. I also liked to double numbers and got much higher than 1024...I took mine all the way to 16,000 and greater! The numbers pattern up and down on the place of the digit. I showed my buddy's son how to double when he was a teenager now he is 34 years old and still remembers that experience. It also depends on the math teacher. I had a gentle calculus math teacher in college and earned an A. I had a terribly tough math teacher in high school advanced algebra and got a C (could have rec'vd a D). So how could I get an A in calculus? I had a great gentle teacher.

What a miracle! Thank you very much. The strategy works 100%. I tried 7 trades using this strategy, all of them were winning. I'm your fan.✨

Would like to know what his equations or algorithm solved and how he solved the stock market and was able to average over 66% over 31 years. Might be a good question.

Great video, thank you! I would just like to add that a Brazilian called Hindemburg Melão Jr. has devised an automatic investment system called Saturn V (L4Σ version), which last year outperformed the Medallion Fund. The results were verified and authenticated by one of the 4 largest auditing firms in the world.
He (Hindemburg) has also improved the work of 5 Nobel Laureates in Economics. Cheers!

Saturno V nem é autorizado pela CVM.....auditado por quem ? Quantos bilhões o saturno v tem de patrimônio para podermos ter uma comparação com o Medallion ?
