😊😊A Great tip for improving !!! 😊😊 😊😊Put a nylon between the tools and the magent.😊😊 You can solder a tight nylon sleeve for the magnet before assembling it by using Nylon Solder. That way not rust is hold to the magnet and it is easy to clean the nylon with alcohol . That will make it PERFECT. Strong Trump = Strong USA 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I did something like this earlier in the year. I pulled the stickers off and added a strip of walnut veneer to the magnet faces...looks a LOT better on my wall. ;-)
I use magnet strips in my tool trailer. I put a 1” board on the wall and then put the magnet strips to them. That lets me use both sides for twice the space.
Great video, I have several magnets located around my shop. I have one on my table saw, I have one on my rollaway. They come in handy to put tools your using on a project so they are readily available... 👍👍
The best option I’ve found for the magnetic strips is to put a strip of duct tape over them; cleaning the old tape off is a pain and looks just as bad underneath IMO. Any color of duck brand duct tape is available, wraps perfectly over the magnet with edges really fitting like it was designed for it; ALSO, the vinyl duct tape is the perfect protection from scratching/dinging 👍 So, buy some cheap magnetic strips and save the time of removing the ugly manufacturer tape by covering with your choice of ‘duck tape’… the time you save and the results are two great things that go great together 👍
Jim next time use a hair dryer to remove the stickers, I worked at Walmart mart and that is how we removed the labels from things when we needed to take them of items.
Nice video, I’ve used these type of holders and great for wide variety of small / light weight tools , I noticed you had some files on there, 🤔 Just an observation, ....if there are WOOD files all good but if METAL files , maybe not place on magnetic strip as if they magnetise the files gonna be a lot harder to clean off any metal filings and debris😳
Hi I know this is the wrong video to ask this question, but would you be able to give me the dimensions of your lumber holders on your French cleat system?
@@lastingbuild1373 Hi I just wanted to let you know that I attempted to build your lumber storage holders. I'd love to send you a picture see what you think.
Very nice, thank you
HF has the 18" strip at $5 but they use to be a giveaway. I agree they are great, I have them everywhere.

Yes Sir!

@@lastingbuild1373 your welcome it works on things your going to give as gifts to
@@lastingbuild1373 I wasn't sure what the odds were for you owning a hair dryer. 🤣
Are these strong enough to hold a miter gauge?

Thanks! That’s a really good point! They are for woodworking though!
If you ever get companies that want new products tested and evaluation I'd be glad to help
Harbor freight gives away a similar product for free sometimes.

Several will ask for that! I’ll put something together!

Magnetizing tools ruins them. They'll pick up everything you don't want picked up.
And it leaves no residue
