- Introduction
Try this kid's yoga class for musicians and particularly flute players and other musicians aged around 10-14 years old but great for other ages also. Find various yoga postures and movements to have fun with. This class is great for anyone who holds tension in their shoulders, upper back and wants to improve their alignment and posture. Garuda Visits the Ocean
Become your most majestic and free eagle or Garuda. Adventure on a journey from the forest to the ocean and back home again. Stretch and strengthen your shoulders, upper back and chest with alignment and core support. Open your heart to new perspectives and see the heart of any situation with more love and compassion. This is fun yoga for flute players and other musicians holding tension in their upper back and shoulders.
Sequence
Tadasana Posture with Namaste Hands
Lifting and lowering knees and arms (wings)
Add a hip swing and add heaven and earth arm movements
Breath of Arjuna with added Brahma Mudra
Butterfly Wings (arm movements)
Cow Face Posture with a side stretch and an eagle call
EBR1 movements
Arm Rotations
Shoulder Circles
Neck Stretches
3 options for arm position for the eagle beak (choose one that is most comfortable for during the Eagle Posture)
Garudasana- Eagle Posture (Choose comfortable arms for beak)
Pectoralis Stretch and optional forward bend
