the last problem can be solved easily without having to apply the rules of alligation .
The two types of rice are mixed in the ratio 2:3.
How about we multiply Rs.15 with 2 and Rs20 with 3 then add them up to find out the price of 2+3 = 5 kgs of rice and from there we can easily figure out the price per kg.

it's simple ways to find the answer.
c=rs 15,d=rs20,x=2,y=3,m=?
x=d-m => 2=20-m
m=20-2=18
or
y=m-c => 3=m-15
m=15+3=18
