I think this is the best choice like your results have shown, because the JFJ Easy Pro is circa £400-500, higher end are £600 up to £1000, and the Skip Dr is around £30 which will leave plastic dust and you have to do it manually. Manual work is fine if you don't have lots of DVDs to do. The new Procare machine is £40 and for the few that are really scratched, GAME, etc, is the other option. Thanks for the review Mark.
Thank you 😃 Glad the video was helpful. I do plan on reviewing the JFJ Easy Pro, and hopefully picking up the new procare machine to do a review on that.
You need to do more videos like this! :)
I plan on releasing a new review each month for now and see how it goes, hard doing reviews, eventually I want to do movie reviews
Can I get rid of the radial pattern with a lint free cloth?
Does it work for Nintendo GameCube disc 😮
I brought a cd repair machine like yours the only problem I got I don't know how to change the pads what do I have to do to change the pads please do a video to show how to change the pads
Depending on the abrasive a pencil eraser might help clean the pads. Certainly works on sandpaper.
So what do you use now?
Thanks👍 bro, I'm looking forward to trying this on my meltdown☯️ DVD that is double-sided ✌️...
No problem 👍. I know there is a updated model to this one and It was on amazon last time I looked.
@@MarkMarsh94👍 Thanks☮️.
Cool video dude, I might get one of these types on Amazon as they're currently £40. I don't understand why the JFJ easy Pro has skyrocketed in price recently, it's way too expensive on eBay last I checked
I have a similar machine the Memorex Optifix Pro you can find machines like this for cheap the only unfortunate part is finding the replacement kits. There are still enough cleaning pads available however the chemicals are not. The cleaning solution is just isopropyl alcohol which is readily available anywhere. My problem is finding the repairing fluid. I think both my system and yours have the same chemicals, but what are they? Are they some kind of a plastic polish I wonder.
That was my issue as well, I found it hard to find replacement fluids but also the overheating was an issue. Its a good machine if your maintaining light marks on a disc but anything more and its pretty pointless.
@@MarkMarsh94 Dude, where you can find these for sale? I urgently need to repair my vol 2 disc 2 DVD of DuckTales and my Monoprice disc repair machine died on me.
Amazon Mexico seems to have them, but quite expensive.
The product description says a radial pattern is left on the disc. Is it noticeable enough, if reselling dvd's, for the customer to tell they've been cleaned?
Yes it does leave radial patterns on the disc, but i wouldn't recommended this for a resellers point of view, but instead invest in a JFJ Easy Pro if you plan to resell Disc.
But for a collector or regular buyer This disc repair will do the job and 9/10 will make a unplayable scratched disc play again, only draw back is the radial pattern and as well this doesn't guarantee to remove all scratches.
@@MarkMarsh94 thanks for the info. I was actually looking at the JFJ. Definitely not bad for the price.
I have one machine but I need all of the pads the yellow, red and blue and the cleaning paste and repair paste
You can now get a replacement kit from amazon for £9.99
That machine was originally branded by monoprice
Very interested in this because some of my DVD’s have wear
This is a good little machine, does the job but not good for the long run, its also good not to use for more then 30mins in one setting, because you can risk overheating it. Its good for light / medium scratches, If your looking for something cheap and affordable, this product is perfect.
Mark Marsh thanks for the heads up
@@MarkMarsh94 would you do video interview for my RUclips channel
What app is that bar code search?
its just a normal barcode scanner of the app store, or if your on ebay, that have one built into the app on the search bar
Whats the £200 machine you refer to near the end of your vid?
JFJ Easy Pro. Theres two version out there, one does DVD and the other does Blu Rays.
I'm more looking for something to clean the surface rather than scratch repair... a lot of these second hand disks have hard stuck oils and grime that takes some iso to remove
Nice hat bro
It's swag 😂
well if you have to repeat over and over, use then give it a few minutes rest then use again
This machine is good for a starter machine if you want something cheap and affordable, I went with the maplin machine but sadly since they went bankrupt its impossible to get replacement pads for, but you can get other similar ones that do the job. since making this video I have move to another disc repair machine, more costly but does better results.
First step scratched the CD more. LMAO. And the redisue is still on there which means you still have to clean it off which most of the time creates more scratches defeating the purpose.
10:55 expensive options?? a) aren't floating around, you can't walk into a retail store and by a cd/dvd repairer machine b) they cost hundreds to thousands
now may its different in the uk?? 200 quid where?? they dont' sell machines, i've googled for machines retail shops don't sell them, in the old days they had cheap self winding ones thats all
You have to check if it really works by watching the dvd....
We need prove..;)
Be careful with your dvds..
Yeah I did worry about that when I first brought this product. But I did Test DVDs after using it on this Machine, and its safe to say the DVD's work fine and even damage DVD are restored and are back playable.
There is a better version of this now.
Whats it called?
