From selecting what to sell to shipping them to the physical book fair seems like an mammoth challenge for many. I have nothing but immense respect for these people like Tom who dedicate themselves to promote classic literary works for the modern English literature readers.
I enjoy your videos about these books and the knowledge you share. I know nothing of this world but can truly appreciate the beauty, the historic value, and inscriptions. You have a great way of explaining the information. Robin 😊
A Little Princess was the first book i bought with money of my own. I had fallen in love with the BBC adaptation when it aired and I bought the book with my 7th Birthday Money that same year. To own a 1st ed of it would be an absolute bucket list item and just to see one is a lovely thrill for the soul.
Love your channel and am a new subbie. My husband gave me my major bucket wish list item recently. A full set of the OED. I love it and get into it often to explore. It's the 1961 edition and was originally given as a gift from many fraternities to a professor. Your investigation into previous owners has inspired me to look into who the professor was and what university was affiliated and perhaps some of the many, many fraternity members, each of whom signed in the opening covers of each volume by fraternity per volume. Thank you for sharing and greetings from the American wild west also known as California.
It might go against what you stand for but your soothing voice would be well suited for audio books for those who need them, sight impaired and neurological disorders. 😊 Maybe even a bedtime story on CBeebies lol might even make a good wee side channel.

Meant to come to the fair but had to get a rail replacement bus (it was a Sunday after all). Arrived at the mainline station via said bus only to be told we needed another rail replacement bus to another mainline station 10 miles away! Do you sell any Bradshaw’s …
I would love to go to something like a book fair just a place with so many book a book lovers on one point, but sadly I do not live in London. I indeed live in Germany which don’t misunderstand me. It’s a beautiful country but it does not have this kind of cultural events nor dare I say any kind of literary modern culture of course we have a great history of literacy, but at the moment there is just hardly anything going on anymore but I would laugh at some point to live in London which I see is the most beautiful city in the world at least part of it in the parts of it are certainly rather terrifying on a sidenote I find it to be such a pity that there are hardly any modern books still being made by hand in this beautiful leather binding with a beautiful paper before and after the actual story starts mature of the name but you might know what I mean. I just find that those kind of books have a completely different flag and modern machine made books as it is for all the handmade things in this world though, as I don’t really like many old storieseven though the books are visually and from the feeling and smell absolutely marvellous I’d love to see this combined more beautifully handmade books created in our fast modern world even though sadly the majority of fine hand works is starting to die out which is a real pity
Im really confused as to what is considered the 1st edition for The Secret History, there are so many versions, limited editions, first printing, 2nd printing before publication and yellow and grey covers, can you clarify how I would know what the "true" first edition is? thanks. enjoying the videos
Sorry I missed the usual Sunday upload. The book fair was yesterday and I couldn't get the video up last night! Enjoy :)
Don't sweat it!
Don't worry most of us miss our sundays .......it just magically becomes Monday 😊

As long as you get enough sleep, we're good.😊
Your knowledge and enthusiasm are truly infectious.
I wish you all the luck in the world with your new book shop. God be with you always. Cheers
Your new office is looking good
I love your enthusiasm and dedication.
I love these insights into a world so different from mine!
The Babar book really made me smile, because amongst all the business of selling books, it reminds you about the joy of collecting.
Always a highlight of the day watching your videos thanks Tom
I hope I'll be able to go to England, and the first day I land there, your shop will be the first I visit, such a fantastic collection❤❤❤
I know what you mean. I'm planning a visit to Oxford, and really want to visit the new physical store.😊
I could never do your job Tom. I would have to keep them ALL.
Book fairs are a major amount of work for the dealers!! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, very much enjoyed. Congratulations on lovely Babar.🎉
Absolutely love the Austen and Dickens sets, especially the Austen. Would have wanted those myself.

This is The first time I saw Tom's library in full view I always thought his library looked like a Victorian era house
All is well when I can take time out to watch and listen to Tom.
Thank you so much excellent video. I really enjoy your work.
I just started watching your content. I love your work. Cheers from Minnesota.
I love these Book Fair adventures...

Tom has the most interesting videos!
Do any of your videos describe how you rose to the upper echelon of book selling?
Bro's essentially wearing multiple layers with that luscious pillow of chest hair 😅
Hi Tom! That book of hours, absolutely stunning. What was the price tag on that one? I could not find it on your website.
But where was the fair?!!! Although it’s over. Love books and your videos make me want to collect them, but now’s not the time, alas.

39 seconds since you uploaded! lol
Do you have any First Edition Lovecraft? What would be the value on that sort of thing?

Is that a tribble on your collar?
I can’t unsee that now!
