If you play the Benoni regularly then you know how to react to the Taimanov. It is white's most direct try so the forcing sequences are quite easy to learn. The line with 8...Nbd7; 9. e5 de; 10. fe Nh5; 11. e6 Qh4+ is quite a famous one that illustrates well that white's king is actually exposed. While the Computers say this is great for white, practical games have shown that black's chances are at least equal except at the very top level. In other words, you have to know this line if you play 7. f4. It is not enough to say "This is very good". An example of how easy it is as white to lose is the well-known game Lautier-Ivanchuk 1995. I strongly recommend a deeper look before playing this variation.
This is really really well outthought. Espacially the inaccuracy threat to go inbetween Lb5+ with either one undeveloped minor piece wich is so human...... really thankful for that. And for people over average 1800 you still have a favorable opening that for me i am going to look up more and make this my playstyle! I am really thankful! Krep up
1 year later this video shows up the day everyone is playing the Benoini against Jobava London. Not all my games go this direction but the general ideas here have my win rate between 60-70%. Thank you for the video!!
Hey, (i too am a metal head) I play the Jobava and am looking for good lines against the benoni. With the Jobava the knight is in front of the c pawn... I find it v challenging to transpose into something good against benoni.
I just played a ton of 30 second matches against a 1900 rated player today and I've learned how to play against it pretty decently lol. I'm a 750 rated bullet player btw. Definitely a fun opening to play against imo.

Heyy anna... I've got to know you from that stream that you did with Samay no too long ago... And I just can't stop smiling while watching your videos.... Any suggestions on how to concentrate on your content rather than concentrating on you?
Need more objective analysis on this one. No good player will play anything other than Nfd7, so spend more time exploring all of the variations that arise when your opponent doesn't simply blunder the opening
@@whatever2045 She spent over half the video looking at what if your opponent plays poor moves. And from that point on doesn't cover the critical continuations.. this is supposed to be a complete guide?
@@MI-cq7fc She literally went over what to do against the best moves at 14:20 and went over different lines from that point on for the next 5 minutes. What are you failing to see at that point?
@@MI-cq7fc Update: she just beat an IM on Titled Tuesday with this opening. He played the opening defense from 14:20 and she was ready for it and got the W.
I'm a 2100. I tried this opening out and caught another 2100 with it on my first try lol. Definitely sticking with this opening.

I never went e6 right away after white advance. I go g6. Then d6. Then bish g7. Then enrook. Then e6. I only go e6 right away if white eats.
That's why I play c5 on the first move and play e6 in the middle game so I have no weakness on d6 and can peacfully go for b5 or e6

Thank you for the video this is a good opening in my opinion there's alot of tactics you can use with this.

Omg she's literally the most gorgeous human being I've ever seen. Aphrodite herself would be mesmerized.
Basically is annoying

@@TheProtege00 There is no in-depth analysis of it. She shows one line. Doesn't even mention the Qh4 line black can go for.
Her line is good if u play against 500
Too basic perhaps ?!
Kinda of embarrassing if you don't know the lines and have to wait for the engine to bail you out in the middle of your video.
Thanks
