Oh my gosh thank you so much for making Anarchist literature accessible. My ADHD makes focusing enough to get through most works incredibly difficult, and it usually takes about a week to get through 100 pages. This cuts the time down significantly for me, and I'm sure it's helping others in similar ways. Seriously, thank you so much for what you're doing!
Yess! It makes this info so much more accessible! I love reading, but I love being able to clean and listen instead of drop everything to read out of a paper book. Too many paper books on my reading list to keep up with anyway ☺ tbh
Comrade I feel you so much! I listen to audio because it's more effective, and I can do multiple things at a time, working and encoding the information I learn into different work settings. These audio readings of theory really help!
This is some seriously awesome content! 🖤💜💙💚💙💜🖤 Thanks for getting these works of education out there for all to listen. Much love to all reading this comment!! Love and Unity against Tyranny can help heal the World!
This is the most important book I have ever read as of my entire life: (At least at the moment) No other book has radically pushed an opinion of mine so far. Thank you for this reading; I repeat it leisurely! :D
We have started with TCOB, librvox however has strict rule regarding what can and can't be uploaded to their website, mostly concerning copyright. So to answer your question, we will upload some of our recording to librivox but not all of them.
Last night on Twitter, two people told me that a revolution against the tyrannical must be handled lawfully and peacefully or I'll become like the government itself. I simply told those peaceful noncompliant protesters that they themselves are the problem letting the government free to do what it wants.
How About a national wide strike. This would bring this country to knees , make it ungovernable and remove by any means necessary. The criminals I in White House
@@tesso.6193 True. @BadWolf look into Rudolf Rocker and Georges Sorel. The general strike is largely a tactic developed and implemented by the Anarchosyndicalist school of thought (which also was developed in part as an answer and response to the transition from capitalistic to socialistic states which identifies the problem with the socialistic state that arises out of a capitalistic state and as a consequence of that cultural adjacency). Simply put, we will face many of the same oppressive forces under a socialistic state that we do under capitalism. Anarchosyndicalism is the raw working materials and methods that can be used by the working class to reclaim the means of production and industry towards the goal of realizing a truly Anarchical social "order". Something the American social consciousness has hit a wall in forming the conditions necessary for a successful general strike, they have absolutely no clue on how to proceed largely due to the suppression of information because of the red scare. Not to mention, many of the moral prerogatives and ideas Gelderloos illustrates in this book regarding the psychology of passivism. They've been neutered intellectually and morally by the states propaganda. Once the proletariat understands that Marx's dictatorship of the proletariat is only a stepping stone that must be dismantled as soon as it serves its social function. Sadly, when it comes to these matters, much of the information, methods and tactics are out there but no surprise hidden from the general consciousness of the people. Once they stop posting the same memes over and over again and actually read and truly understand the theory behind and beyond Marxist theory and disavow IDPOL bullshit in their own mind, we can create the social conditions "amiable"--more or less--to forming the general strike. But the fact of the matter is, that it's deployment will have to properly identify the elements present in modern American society and reformulate an actionable methodology according to our situation.
There are some interesting points here but as weapons modernize and the state gains central control over communications and information those points are less relevant. If the state let's you keep communicating through some offensive action it will only be to pinpoint your locations or to pre gather postmortem justifications for killing you. We've already crossed the point where the state's built-in advantage in violence is too great to even consider challenging, mainly due to its intelligence prowess.
I fear you are correct Will Moffett. I am a pacifist. I do not see how any other method can actually cause a harmonious societal outcome, especially in view of your astute observation.
@@marikavoss660 Thanks. I am not a pacifist, at least not on ethical grounds. In theory, violence can be a legitimate tactic in defending yourself or your rights. I am in effect a pacifist for practical reasons. I don't believe in harmonious outcomes either. There are those among us who have infinite greed, and I don't think you can get rid of them. They will never allow the rest of us to live in anything like harmony.
@@Will_Moffett I realize my desire for harmonious outcomes can be viewed as naivety, however if we are afraid to be idealistic we have no chance of ever obtaining the ideal. I choose to maintain my idealism. I really like your answer. I realize too that not all pacifism is rooted in ethics. I respect the other views on this point as just as valid as mine. How then to accomplish better, more ideal harmonious outcomes in the face of limitless greed? I do not have answers but can not also accept nihilism. I stay the course of my conviction. I remain curious. Do you have any suggestions?
@@marikavoss660 The path to harmonious outcomes isn't clear to me. Currently we are in a state of abundance as a species, yet that hasn't seemed to quash the conviction or instinct many people have to obtain limitless personal resources. Maybe if we could see ourselves honestly, as a humanity which harbors sociopaths and their fellow travelers, we might develop social systems which deter greed and psychopathy while promoting empathy. That is not to suggest these systems could change these attributes of individuals, but to create processes by which motivations that aim for sustainability are rewarded and greed is punished, or at least not rewarded. Our really existing values (what we practice and not what we preach) are trending more and more toward the "greed is good" ethos. Cutthroat CEOs are admired, so called anti-heroes like Tony Soprano and Walter White are portrayed as protagonists. Capitalism has carved a hierarchy tailor made for the promotion of sociopaths. This is why every program that threatens human existence is advancing, not retreating. If we can overturn capitalism we might have a chance create the new directors sustainability needs, but I'm afraid the prospects for that are slim if they exist. People wonder why, given the practically infinite expanse of the cosmos, we have never been contacted by or seen evidence of an advance civilization. Maybe because there can be no truly advanced, sustainable civilizations. Maybe the traits which put humans on top ultimately force self destruction, similarly so in every human-like potential intelligence everywhere in the universe. A species, by way of it's environment, stumbles upon an intelligence building gradient. It powers up, learns more and more technology, then inevitably destroys itself via that technology since the species' base drives and desires remain stuck in the mud, so to speak.
I like that made this audio but compared to my book you jump from like different pages so you went from page 21 to page 24 and then from page 29 back to page 21 very jumpy
Many of the concentration camps were in the range of the allied airforce, and in several times POW camps and prisons were bombed to enable surviving prisoners to escape. No such initiative was taken for the people condemned to the concentration camps.
The problem with anarchism is it doesn’t have an end game. It has no way of creating a society that flourishes and is short sighted in basic models of things such as energy, sustainability, and nuclear fusion. It’s a good tool for balance though.
_Spread the bread, comrade!_

From a veteran with PTSD who gets anxiety sitting and reading physical books, thank you for making all this content accessible.
I'm with you brother. ✊
You're doing a really great thing here comrade! Solidarity.
I second that!

So glad you are listening too. This stirs up a lot of revolutionary feelings in me, I hope this comment section gets even bigger!
Love Peter.❤
2020 here. It’s been a fucking revelation for me. OMFG.
2021 here, and for real sister. I'm joining more militant groups now. It sucks I don't know more Black Anarchists like me.
2024. Yeah.
Thanks 💜
This book is mind blowing
love your reading voice, thank you

this would work in a sovereign country but not a colonized one (or at least wouldn't be as efficient).

it feels likw this person has no idea what nonviolence means
literally how can you think sabotage is violent
If you put sand in a car’s gas tank, is that violent?
