This is a camp type thing for fun, usually for beginners. Do you know how hard it must have been to teach and clean everyrhing everyone of those kids are doing? Cut them some slack and stop nit picking this wonderful performance.
Oh Honeeyyyyy... 🤦♂️ You must have never been in guard.. If you want to be successful, you teach your team members how to sync with everyone else.. the director doesn’t do all the work, that would be a PAIN and not possible if 1 person had to do all that work. but everyone is saying those things because they’ve been in guard, they understand the trouble and how knit picky colorguard is if you want to be successful
@@charlesthompson3959 It's a camp though, it's not competitive at all and it's just for fun. Of course you have to be nitpicky if you want to be successful but that's in WGI or winter guard or whatever competitive guard circuit you are in. That's not a priority for a show like this

Jesus Christ its a beginners fun educational camp, this isn't pride of Cincinnati. Relax and enjoy that so many young people are interested in the marching arts. Jeez.
I love DSI. I've gotten my rifle and guard gloves from there, oh nice pop toss and money hand there at the end! It was great all of them were together just work on the drop spins.😊💚

Im part of JROTC color guard team, you know the thing for military. If we ever let one of our flags touch the ground we would get in so much trouble. But I guess its different cause we use the American flag, state, and all branches of the military.

I’m happy to say I got it in 4 days and guard is a amazing for me personally. I did marching band this summer but guard is better lol

I forgot I even commented this, I quit guard because I was getting major hives 💀 but guard was a great part of my freshman year, and I’m positive you can nail that double, if it makes you feel better I didn’t get it until competition lol. But yes first year was fine, don’t overwork, try to keep B’s and A’s and other than that, I wish you the best!
Madison Martinez it's ok you should try it there's some videos out there that teach you. You can make a flag at home to with some light fabric and a brooms stick or and type of pole that's light and heavy enough for it
My first time doing color gaurd they made me do j tosses parallels singles and singles and a half, cones, double time, thumb flips too. And I made it.😣

At the end of november ( the 18th and 19th are my last days on brass ) I am joining the guard section because it is sooooo fun and amazing to me, does anyone have advice for my nerves if I do something wrong or don't catch a flip even though I got in the guard section because my flips are out of this world?
If you do something wrong. Just relax and don't make it look like you made a mistake. Trust me on this, and when you learn something new learn the counts FROM THE VERY START. Hope this helps. :]
This is a camp for students of all ages. This is more of a warm-up type routine, if you didn't notice it was on left and right. These students are from all different programs across the USA. This is likely the intermediate level, who a lot of times can be students JUST learning guard. So of course it's easy.
I cringe so hard when people mess up simple tosses😂 like I understand if our new, but these people probably practiced this routine for a few days. And a good bit of them weren’t on count

Timing with the dropspins was a big problem. Try squeezing on every full count. Not enough to stop the flag, but it helps to stay in time.
