I was never surprised that I enjoyed Babymetal, as I've always loved metal with clean vocals. I am however really surprised at how much I enjoy watching 3 japanese girls dance on a stage :D It's so cool ^^ Awesome reaction as always!
This Group has me dragged in like no other Band did. I cant even explain why. The only Thing i know foer sure is, i will never stop to beeing a Fan of them. Bound to the Foxhole forever :)
Monochrome Piano Version on the First Take is honestly a good follow up after reacting to the original. It really showcases how incredible Su's voice and control is, and that piano is *chefs kiss*
@@Abigirl_Reacts The song is done in one take (First and only take), as is everything om The First Take. A bit like you record reactions, any mistakes stay inn. It is really wonderful channel where artists can show of their skills. BabyMetal has a second video on The First Take. It is of “The One” (unfinished version). All three sing on this, and it is recorded before Momo was announced as an official member.
Great reaction, Abi-metal! I'm so happy that you enjoyed this performance! The piano version of "Monochrome" on "The First Take" youtube channel is amazing and you get to hear Moa sing live too, so I hope you react to that one eventually! Thank you! 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_ReactsYou won't regret it. Apart from being a piano version (more focus on the vocals), it's a first-take (they recorded it in one go). Your jaw will drop when you hear Su sing this version. 🙂
You should definitely not to miss these official MV, you can watch any live performance after that: - Megitsune - Iine! - Doki Doki Morning - Karate (alternatively you can enjoy the live at Download Festival 2016) but official MV will give you more understanding of the lyrics meaning. Definitely go for Ijime,.Dame, Zettai but the official live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, that was a turning point on their careers reaching a huge milestone till these days they always remember. There's an official live version of Brand New Day released last month so highly suggest to check that version first. See you next time AbiMetal.🦊🤘❤
I like the Headbanger! Too. I honestly think the order for that should be the music video, 1997, Moa, Momo(then Yui if she doesn't mind the bad footage and is that deep into Babymetal)
@@Abigirl_Reacts If possible, do a double reaction of Megitsune, including the live version from PIA Arena 2023 (to see how much Su's voice has evolved), it's on the same channel you caught Monochrome on.
ruclips.net/video/xd-lswJ2e3k/видео.htmlsi=blRst5kGJdQLAE2y Here's a performance of "Metal Kingdom" from PIA Arena where they go full blown theatrical in their concert spectacle's in Japan 🦊🤘
Nice reaction! The song "Monochrome" is one of my favorite songs with beautiful melody, very positive lyrics, SU's great voice, and MOA&MOMO's choreography, all perfect!🦊💖
This was at PIA Arena in Yokohama in April 2023. I was lucky enough to be there for this performance and I can't even put into words just how spectacular this show was. The moment where they they came together and Su hummed and the crowd sang it back was pure magic. Of all the Babymetal shows I have been to "Babymetal Begins" is my favourite. Babymetal do use back tracks pretty heavily for Moa and Momo's parts, but I'm pretty sure that it's layered with their live vocals as well. There are a couple of songs that are worth watching the music video for, but most of the time the live shows are way more interesting. You should definitely check out "Ijime, Dame Zettai" and "Headbanger". Actually, you should check out their entire catalogue, there aren't any bad songs. My personal number one favourite Babymetal song is "Yava!", so consider this a request for that one.
yeah and we're not talking Milli Vanilli it is Moa/Momo (or Yui before)singing just in the studio earlier. With all their dance moves it would be near impossible to get great backing singing too.
All good picks, can't really go wrong at this point. If you're interested in something where it focuses heavily on Su's voice the Monochrome piano ver on The First Take channel is great.
Asked in Interview aboit favourite lyric: SU-METAL:"it’s a line in the song MONOCHROME: ‘No matter long the night the morning will arrive.’ “It has been a long night for all of us. For us, it was difficult to perform live and even meet people,” she explains. “Some people are still fighting through this difficult situation. But everyone is gradually returning back into their daily lives. I want to encourage people to keep their chin up and have faith that a brighter future will come even if the sky is pitch black.”
Just in case it was my comment (recall your response saying the Scream and Dance makes sense) lol. The two do frequently provide backing vocals in addition to the crowd interaction - you will see that when you do the Road of Resistance. The scream and dance position has a lot more frequent parts in their older songs (first two albums). They still do quite a bit in the newer ones, but I find they tend to have a fairly loud backing track going so you have to try really hard to hear them. All three of them are (in my opinion) very good singers. As others have said, Ijime, Dame, Zettai is a must-see at some point in your journey (Sonisphere in UK [2014] is the usual recommendation due to its importance in Babymetal's international fame) Congrats on the 1k!
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。As an eyewitness to BABYMETAL shows more than 20 times and an amateur musician (trumpeter / flugelhornist), I can guarantee that Su's voice is real without help of back track. I hardly heard her voice crack or go off pitch, but it does happen on actual stage because she is a human being. Voices from two dancers, Moa & Momo are processed or recorded ones in some way occasionally. If you want to know Su's pitch accuracy, please try "Monochrome Piano ver." in RUclips. I witnessed this very performance at the venue where and when Momoko was inducted into BABYMETAL officially. Yes, she had a headset mic for the first time like Moa has had since BM's inception. I sang the ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Momometal with my loudest voice in the show holding my phone. What a bliss! The flying drones with cameras that enabled the beautiful aerial cinematograph were manipulated by experts including Ms. Shiraishi. She is a member of Team Japan for World Drone Racing Championship. Our Kami Band played in the girls' back. They have supported BABYMETAL since 2019. Japanese fans always appreciate the devoted support like knights by Chris, CJ, Anthony, Clint and Ryan. They are really unsung heroes. 😍
Welcome back to the Foxhole and now with the new metalverse era🦊🤘🌐 Congrats on reaching 1K subs, pretty sure your channel will still growing a lot, you totally deserve it. Thanks for coming back with this suggestion. Monochrome is another beautiful track from latest album, it was the 2nd single released in November 2022 and there's an official lyrics video really cool if you wanna enjoy the studio album version, later in 2023 right before this concert you just saw they released the Piano Version at The First Take surprising everyone with another stunning and beautiful one off stripped down version you should definitely check it out. The lyrics got some Norse mythology reference and when the lyrics vid came out there were many theories around, later they said they were surprised about it and saying they just wanna give a hopeful song. Here's some official info: _"One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is MONOCHROME and this 2nd pre-release digital single “Monochrome” centers around this theme. From the eyes of the children, what color were the monochrome fireworks lighting up in the night sky? This song expresses the hopeful wish on Ragnarok, which signifies doomsday in Norse mythology, twinkling across the starry skies in rainbow colors."_ This was live at BabyMetal Begins - PIA Arena MM Clear Night, Yokohama on April 2, MomoMetal first concert as an official member (she's the new official member after YuiMetal left the group in 2018), you can notice SuMetal speaking to them in the middle section and giving that recognition. They got this magical moment when performing live in every setlist they did throughout the recent World Tour 2023/2024 and they're keep rocking with this song everywhere they go. You can also enjoy the live premiere version at Makuhari Messe 2023 with the East Kami Band playing unlike this one with the West Kami Band, both equally good, just different flavors to enjoy. The composer behind this song is the same one behind Karate, Rondo Of Nightmare, Kagerou, the arrangement of Megitsune and also behind Believing from this same latest album, you should really not miss those songs. Next suggestion: - *Road Of Resistance* live in Japan official MV (2015). Like SuMetal said at the end: "Just smile".🙂 Keep enjoying BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘🌈
Good one Abi-Metal! Congrats on 1K!! You’re good reactor, keep doing your thing! Also, goose bumps right off the rip, that’s the magic of Babymetal! Su is so amazing in this song, and yes, her “metallic cry” to her voice is just soul piercing! Ijime, Dame, Zettai is an amazing anti-bullying song. Sonisphere UK 2014 is the best version if you’re gonna do that one! It’s an iconic performance where Babymetal won over 50K confused UK metalheads 😂. 🤘🦊
"Babymetal won over 50K confused UK metalheads " in the end the metalheads weren´t confused anymore, but very focused on "more" 😄 Second that recommendation! (in case Abimetal won´t do the HB "trilogy", yet)
@@Wolfpack94487 There's that, and also the Trilogy of Lights, so much stuff! haha. Let's let her experience it naturally, she'll come around to all the earlier stuff (just like the live 😉) 🤘🦊
IF you're going to do Ijime Dame Zettai, do the live ant Sonisphere version, It's known as the Miracle at Sonisphere and there's a huge story behind it. Someone else will provide that because they explain it better than me ;) There are 2 potential Road of Resistance vids.. one called "Live in Japan" from 9 years ago, and one from this concert (that you just saw in the video). I would vote for the 9 years ago one because it's EPIC. They're so young and they completely dominate the stage. Both are great though. By the way there were subtitles on this one, it's a great song (I don't know that you had them on) And the First Take version of this song also has them.
Miss Abigail, I see you're still in this foxhole where I first met you about a month ago. I'd offer to pull you outta there but ...I guess I can't being we're both stuck here now with the majority of your fan base being Babymetal fans as well. I guess we may as well make the best of it and stay awhile longer and keep drawing them in with more Babymetal....and your great "kawaii" reactions. Lol Can't seem to get enough of both. ❤ Ummm...back 5 seconds...😂 Forgot to mention.... I'd love to see them in concert and closest to me is Anaheim, CA in Dec. But ...I found out that a lot of live videos we watch are from Japan where they do their "Legend(ary?)" concerts. They build these massive stages and use them for a few shows and in turn are recorded in dvd, blue ray, etc to cover the cost of the build. Maybe ..in the future they can have these big stage shows wherever they go but for now, I guess I'm going to Japan to get this kind of show. I plan on bringing someone...don't know who yet but ... Wanna come ? 😁
@@faceplantor5647 point taken. Close up and personal would be awesome but my POV...70k+ all singing and chanting their songs ? That's what I want to be in the middle of. 🤘 RUclips needs to make a fox sign emoji 😂
Awesome, this is my favorite from The Other One album. I'd like to suggest you react to Tale's Of The Destinies from the Tokyo Dome 2016. It was attended by 110,000 people over two nights, and in my opinion this song and two shows were the pinnacle of the Yui era of BABYMETAL. It's the only time they've performed this song live, and it's a masterpiece along with it's companion song The One which should also be on your list 🦊🤘
Good morning, and thanks for the reaction. As others have mentioned, Monochrome piano ver. First take. its worth watching this song both live, and MV, also the first take version.
Secondly. you LOVE Su-metal's vocals you say? Then I have a suggestion for you. Compare their vocals. Do a Headbanger tripplet video. Headbanger live , (either Legend 1997 or Fox Festival 2017, alternativly live 2023) Moa Version / Legend M Momobanger /Legend MM I dont thing people will mind if you do all three, since they are the same, but not the same.
Oh wow, I had to turn on closed captioning to understand what you were saying. Your voice is really low in the video. The audio from the music was good though , and congrats on 1000 sub's the Kitsunes know a good reactor when they see one 🦊🤘
Moa and Momoko‘s parts are supported by a backing track most of the time. There are times when they are 100% live, and other times it’s 100% backing track, but usually it’s a combination of both. At least that’s my personal impression. Those catchy and easy to follow choruses are no coincidence. They make it as easy as possible for the audience to be part of the performance, while considering that there is often a language barrier. The Fox God leaves nothing to chance. I have been listening to BABYMETAL every day since 2017, and Su‘s voice still gives me shivers. It’s honestly the most beautiful sound I have come across in my 50 years on the planet.
Your reaction is hilarious, I love it. 😂 By the way for me, Monochrome is the most beautiful song of Babymetal. I feel like crying right now. It's so beautiful and emotional if you read the lyrics. 😭 By the way, I think you should react to "The not so extensive Guide of Babymetal (April 1st 2024)" to learn more about them. 😊
Good react. That vocal thing Sue Metal did is called "a vocal break" if the YT vocal coach reactors are right. You said the song name correctly as far as I know. I thought this one would give you the chills, glad I was right. I could recommend your next Electric Callboy "Everytime We Touch". Think you will laugh.
Wait no one has requested Elevator Girl?! Shoot, that's one of my favorite Babymetal songs... consider this an official request! I really hope you get to go to a show eventually. It's absolutely worth whatever it takes to get there. And congrats on 1,000!
@@Abigirl_Reacts I wasn't kidding. Metal Hammer has just published a RUclips video called "Babymetal pick their 5 favourite foods", and in just 2 hours it already got over 1,500 views. 😁
Congrats on your 1k ! Obviously The First Take of Monochrome is important to react to. You have your one-take reactions and they have their one-take performance. When (not if 🙂 ) you do Ijime,Dame,Zettai I recommend the historically significant: Babymetal Ijime,Dame,Zettai at Sonisphere, UK 2014
Before I even get a minute into this review I gotta say, you're a wonderful addition to the reaction community lol. If ya keep the babymetal reactions coming, I'll be watching XD.
@@Abigirl_Reacts lmao, I wont be jettisoning myself into the ether if you react to other content XD. I doubt others will be as fickle either. I think theres only two things you could do that would send off babymetal fans. The first would be intentionally insulting the girls or their band. The second would be reacting to artists who openly insult the babymetal fanbase by proxy. Theres a lot of trans/queer folks in the BM community so artists like Tom Macdonald or Eminems new videos really rub a lot of the community the wrong way. Anyways, The BM community is super caring and wouldnt jump ship if you react to other artists! XD its an open relationship ;) lol
Love the reaction, yeah the songwriters are great at writing those hooks for the audience (almost as good as Iron Maiden?). Though im sure they use backing track for the harmonies from Moa/Momo (you can hear some production on them) i think their mics are live as they interact with crowd on some 'Live' videos. As you say Su's voice is so on point that a live is as clear as studio! Moa sings a couple of songs by herself, Momo as far as i know just sings half of headbanger on the Momobanger version (was her birthday). 'Goosebumpmetal'
Hey Abi, I'd like to suggest you check out what is probably the fastest rising rock band on the planet. I'm talking about The Warning,3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico who are super talented musicians and songwriter's. I'd suggest a song but there are too many to pick just one, you won't go wrong with anyone you choose. BTW just like BABYMETAL these girls were YT sensations at a very young age
Great reaction, I really enjoyed that.😊🦊Such a great song and Su had nearly 100 audiences in 25 countries lighting up the dark world with their phones last year (and quite a few more this year). To answer a couple of your questions - yes the "I don't know what to say" parts were track. The "Oh oh oh" parts were a mixture of live vocals from Moa and Momo backed up by track and the audience. Live is best, but don't discount the music videos - do both by all means. On those other songs and have they been requested etc: 'Brand New Day' is a mellow song featuring Tim Henson and Scott LePage from Polyphia and yes it should be on your list. 'Elevator Girl' ... the Japanese version is preferred over the English version. 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' must have been requested ... and if not I'll request it now. It means 'Bullying, No More, For Ever' and was only the second song they ever played live ... it was not released as a single until after one or two more had been released first. Any performance is great, but historically the most significant one for BABYMETAL has to be live at Sonisphere 2014 in the UK. They still talk about it - Su mentioned it in a recent interview when they were touring festivals in Europe. It was their first tour outside of Asia, their first time in the UK, their first major event outside of Asia, aged 16 and only just turned 15 and virtually unknown. Their booking on a small side stage was changed after the 'Gimme Chocolate' video went viral with just a couple of months notice - they were moved to the main stage and a crowd of 50-60k potentially hostile UK metalheads. They had 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to win the crowd over. IDZ was the last song of the set ... you will hear at the end what the crowd thought of them.
While the concerts outside of Japan on the world tour are great to see many different faces up close, the concerts in Japan are the best because the acoustics are so delicately tuned. I can't wait to be in the world of BABYMETAL's songs with everyone at a concert in Japan someday.😉👍
Just so I don't forget. Elevator Girl is such a fun song. Basically it is about the Japanese elevator girls who used to run the elevators in office buildings. The trick is the elevator goes 2000 floors down and the bottom floor is Hell! Don't fall for the "English version" the lyrics are lame. The Japanese version has the real punch. That's a story in itself. Loved this reaction and you do such a fine, fun job of reacting. I'll take a chance and speak for my fellow fans when I say I think we all knew you'd come around to getting why live is best. Kudos by the way. A number of reactors make the effort to sing along at some point in this performance. You are the rare one that actually was in harmony when you sang along. Sweet. And now you can understand why Babymetal are known as a legendary live act. And I loved what you had to say about the purity and clarity-my words-of Su's vocals. She sings like no other.
The meaning of the Japanese and English are ultimately the same. Also, I am going to put the new Legend MM 2024 Elevator Girl here because I definitely hope to never see the compilation reacted to again. Unfortunately I know it will happen eventually, I wish FTFG would just delist the thing now that we have a full live performance of it on YT. ruclips.net/video/HnlLS5M72rc/видео.html
Your comment touched me hehe thank you for the kind words! Every time I get a mean comment, I'll just look back at this one to feel better ^_^ I've literally screenshot this 🥰
@@Hymnodic Of course its going to be about the same theme but the word choices in the English version are lame and the lyrics don't flow well with the music. It makes the whole thing sound off.
Great reaction! That intro still gives me those chills on the 500th (or more) listen... Check out "The First Take" piano version of this song as a follow-up reaction for a different take on this song where you can hear Su-Metal's vocals extremely clearly. ruclips.net/video/h-hPGRSjgms/видео.htmlsi=Eae5xWW7nLAtl-5H
After over 10 years as a group, Babymetal has gone through many changes in its music and lineup of members and musicians in the Kami Band. As an OG fan, i appreciate the fact that they are attracting new fans with their current music and collaborations. But if you really want to dive into the history of what Babymetal was in the beginning and their incredible journey to where they are now, you MUST start at the beginning. The Yuimetal era. So far you've done reactions to recent songs from their latest album, The Other One, and one song from the album Metal Galaxy, their third album. Start at the VERY beginning. Their very first single, Doki Doki Morning. Do the Music video first, as you will get to see them as they were when they were kids. The ORIGINAL trio. And then work your way up. Ijime Dame Zettai, iine, Catch Me If You Can, the original Headbangerrr!!!. See them as we saw them at the beginning of their journey to becoming superstars. And when i say react to these songs, if you're doing live versions, do videos that are prior to 2017. Not that the performances after 2018 aren't good, it's just it's not the original lineup, which is the point of doing the older videos😅. Pretty soon you'll be ready to dive into those Babymetal Guide videos.
Monochrome is kind of a special case regarding live / music video versions. They're all important. This PIA arena performance is probably the best live version of the song. The First Take acoustic version is so different and so amazing - And the music video, or rather the lyric video, is special because it was the first lyric video released by Babymetal that features english subtitles. The message of the song was so important to Babymetal that they wanted everyone to see it.
Moa and Momo's voices are a mix of Live and Backing tracks. They are singing, but it's mixed with the backing track as they only have the headset mics.
BABYMETAL live shows almost two years are my source of joy. Electric Callboy MV all three years are my energy boost. And Harry Mack with Omegle Series allways restoring my faith in humanity (uplifting positive vibes). ====================================== "What Are You?!? | Harry Mack Omegle Bars 40" ====================================== Wit him ,i believe, you will get +2/3k subs more. Have a nice day AbiMetal 🙂 🦊🤘
As you mentioned, there are a lot of vocals on backing tracks There is a Babymetal tradition that when a backing singer reaches 20 years old, they perform a version of Headbanger live. There is a live version with Moa called Moabanger and my personal favourite which is Momobanger. If you want to hear the girls sing, I would give that a go, Momo has a pretty good metal scream.
I know you want to hear the other girls sing and there are plenty of videos where you'll hear them. Firstly,Yui,Moa and Momoko have all sung lead on Headbanger during their birthday shows. Yui and Moa have each had a solo performance and Moa has sung solo on Black Babymetal songs after Yui left the band. And of course there are the iconic Black Babymetal songs Onedari Daisakusen,GJ!,4 No Uta and maybe the heaviest song they've ever done Sis Anger. All performed by Yui and Moa as a duo
The "I dont know what to say" is a backing track for this show, they have more backing tracks for their big shows, but if you go watch the "smaller" shows its not a backing track, and Moa and Momo do much more live singing with the "smaller" shows too. The 2 girls dont just dance, they sing all the time, almost in every song :)
On today's episode of: Lost in the Comments~ First off, thank you so much for sharing your reactions to BABYMETAL! Ijime Dame Zettai Sonisphere 2014 (One of the YT recommended songs mentioned in this reaction.) Is my personal favorite chapter in the story of BABYMETAL. I feel this performance is greatly enhanced by knowing the buildup and the stakes. Also: The 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘰 Extensive Guide to BABYMETAL (April 1st 2024) is an excellent (mostly) spoiler free look into the team's history. Even a possible reaction. I'd watch~ Also Also: As far as official M/V's are concerned, please allow me to cast a vote for "Doki Doki Morning" -- "Karate" -- "Megitsune" One might also consider "IINE" (NOT Line, but rather iine, you're welcome~) Also the third, esquire: Still here?! WOW, thank you! The One can be a bit daft~ (humans, amiright?!) Don't let the bad apples spoil the .. pi? Enjoy YOUR OWN JOURNEY. @abigirlreacts or anyone reading~
1) fyi: your _Monochrome_ experience is not complete until you seen the First Take piano version. 2) as for that "crack" you heard .... i'm absolutely NOT an expert, not by any stretch of the imagination, but i _think_ what you're hearing is Su descending through her natural "break" between her "head voice" and her "chest voice" (we all have that break -- what's impressive is that it was a smooth as it was .... go ahead and try: start with the lowest note you can sing, and then just slowly _slide_ up towards the top end of your range -- you'll feel _and_ hear the "break"). 3) the song on your top left (as you were looking at it) is _Ijime Dame Zeitta_ , and it is very popular ; and from what i've seen , i believe the preferred version is Sonisphere 2014 (but i'm open to be corrected if i'm wrong) 4) the other 2 do actually sing (hence the small head-mounted mics) , but they are very often helped by backing tracks. and as you've said, you already have a strong grasp of their role.
🤘🦊🤘 The backing vocal is backtracked. It is sung by Moa. Great song and great reaction. Headbanger live or Megitsune music video next 😉 You also need to check out Monochrome Piano Version (First take). Su's singing is phenomenal there, and Moa sings live. Ijime Dame Zettai has been requested - particularly the Live at Sonosphere version, which is historical since it introduced them to the world. There's a long story about this performance, and I'm sure someone will give you the details in the comments if you react to it.
This song it's always so emotional! Anyway you won't regret doing live performances. Some MV are nice (i already suggested you iine 👀) but you choose! Thank you sm for this content! ❤
Great reaction! Ijime, Tame, Zetai at MM Concert at PIA Arena is a great performance! Hope you can react to that one soon! And don’t forget Headbangerrrr
Ijime Dame Zettai Live at Sonisphere 2014 is a MUST! It's an integral part of BabyMetal's story becoming the giants they are today. Also, youll find it with subtitles. 😊👍
*TO me and others. the song had direct references to the dropping of THE ATOM BOMB on Hiroshima August 6, 1945, Su Metal is from Hiroshima and her grandfather was an A BOMB survivor* The lyrics all fit.
@@Abigirl_Reacts A lot of people are interpreting it that way (war, bombings) due to their reaction to the MV (of course MV's don't always represent what the song is about, but can sometimes paint them in a different light, or have nothing to do with the song at all.). Originally Su-metal stated that she thought this was a more upbeat song and was surprised at the more serious take were people having. She was also younger when they originally recorded the song (i.e. most likely when Metal Galaxy was being recorded), so maybe there was a little bit of the naivety of youth from her original thoughts on the song, or perhaps she was really referencing the last part of the song where it is more positive. When you look at the lyrics, in a general sense, the first two thirds of the song are very much create an atmosphere of reflection on the connections you've lost in life, and the last third is about creating new beginnings or connections.
Glad i found this! I looked for it and somehow didnt see it, i asked you to watch this one on the piano vid, my bad lol. Very meaningful song if youve lost youre best friend or close family.
As a southpaw, i can genuinely appreciate watching your Babymetal reactions because I can see all those (now) left-handed musicians.... the only problem is that it also makes Su right-handed... as she is a southpaw as well.
I’m brand new to the Foxhole as of a couple days ago, and I’ve already spent way too much time binging all their live stuff. Gotta’ say: it’s been really awesome seeing someone else react the same way! 🤘🦊🤘
Nice reaction. It's Babymetal which means just do their whole catalog. They don't have any bad songs. Just song you like better than others. Top songs at the end of the video are good ones and fan favorites. Many just use the initials IDZ for that song. If you do it watch the one from sonisphere it's important to the history of Babymetal. A pivotal moment in their career. Elevator Girl has a great bass riff. And there is an English version of it. But many prefer the Japanese version. I like them both. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
Nice reaction! We don´t show all THEIR trump cards at once 😉 "Monochrome" is just one of many! Sometimes it´s better to go slowly with them, we mentioned the most important songs for the beginning, so that you could better understand what BABYMETAL is all about. First achievement: you were converted to "Gimme live!!" 😄At some point in time you will be converted to "Gimme Chocolate!!" 🤣 But first go the "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" road😄, pls. All three versions of course (First Su, then Moa, and finally Momo), as there is a HQ Momometal live version available on the FTFG channel since some days.
If you want to hear the other 2 girls really sing on there birthday they sing headbanger. It's moabanger and momobanger in the description they sing the second half of the song
I would recommend MV AND live😂 But next must be Monochrome (piano ver) on the First Take. Just Su, Moa and a piano (it was just before Momo was announced as a permanent 3rd member)
Monochrome have music/lyric vid, live ( couple different ones, compilations), one take. Each one gives a different feeling. When you have the captions you get another "version" of the song; lyrics give so much more meaning. Ijime, Dame, Zettai is a great song but when you get the lyrics, you have a greater appreciation to what they are singing about. Gimme Chocolate is about wanting chocolate, but other songs like karate lift you up and empower yourself. No harm watching music vids, sometime better to know what you are getting, then you get blasted at how it is live! Backing tracks- sometime its used, sometimes not. Sometimes they had live strings/piano but mostly not. Moa and Yui did 2 songs without Su, they are 100% singing or at least that is their voices on the backtrack (backing track). Keep going and expand your Babymetal knowledge!
There are a few songs in english that she sings, Elevator Girl is one, along with Believing, The One, and From Dusk till Dawn (which even though in english, still going to need subtitles on lol you'll see).. And if you really want a great performance, their videos with the Kami Band Intro are awesome, Catch Me if you can, Rondo of nightmare, and Yava are a few, just search for Babymetal Kami Band Intro.. Looking forward to more Babymetal videos,
08:29 Su and Moa are stretching out for Momo that doesn't join them immediately although she had officially announced as the official 3rd member the day before. But Su and Moa are like: You're one of us.. come...!
@@Abigirl_Reacts it _looks_ like it was just a wee bit far from your mouth (you ain't gotta swallow it, but just a bit closer should probably do wonders)
That's exactly it because I don't change the settings at all. But the second the distance of mic changes, it ruins everything! I need a new mic. And camera. And things!
It is a little unusual to have a 'girl group' with such a focus on one member's vocals, but it does lie at the heart of BABYMETAL's vision. There are plenty of other alternative-idol groups mixing pop and rock in Japan that do make fuller use of all their members' vocals. If you ever want to explore any of those groups, I'm sure people will be more than happy to offer suggestions. There are alt-idol groups covering metal, punk, prog, emo and alt-rock - just about every genre you can think of.
Nice one, thanks! To be honest, no one recommended "Elevator girl" ever haha... but this is the best version by far: "Elevator Girl" (Live at Legend-MM): ruclips.net/video/6IC6ia3POec/видео.html Others: "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Live at Sonisphere 2014): ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html "Brand New Day" (Live at FOX_FEST feat. @@Abigirl_Reacts Let's say it's not among my top favorites (specially the English version). But I have to admit that I enjoyed the Legend-MM version... a lot. 😁
AbiMetal! 🦊 another great reaction! Before you move on to the next song. I recommend listening to Monochrome piano version. You will definitely feel the feels. Suzuka (SuMetal) has such an amazing voice and you can definitely hear it in this version. You will not regret it. 🦊🦊🦊
@@Abigirl_Reacts oh yes that’s good. I’m looking forward to it. :) as for electric callboy I recommend parasite if you wanna check something out from them that’s more serious. 🧐
I would suggest Headbanger Moa and Momo version if you want to see the other two girls singing. Moa has a very good voice, Momo has the cutest voice (despite she talked that "grandma" way for Metali and her normal voice sound deeper/more mature than Moa and Su xD Momo is the youngest of the group too)
Road of Resistance is a good one, just please do the "Live in Japan" one on the official youtube channel! Also, hope to see Headbanger (and maybe Akatsuki unfinished and Babymetal Death?) from Legend 1997 soon!
Good reaction! I love your attitude, I knew you through Babymetal's reactions and I like watching your videos. You can react to Yava! ? They recently uploaded it the legend MM concert live version to their official RUclips channel. I love the choreography of that song
You're adorable. Reminds me of when I first discovered babymetal. But that was 2 years ago. They in my top 5 bands for sure now. Road of resistance will knock your socks off.
@@Abigirl_Reacts so many babymetal songs will give u full body chills. I'm a 38 year old man and they still make me tear up. Su is a special person. And the band is phenomenal. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦 💙
Some people complain about people using their phones at concerts if those people got their complaints heard awesome moments like that wouldn't happen it's best sometimes that peoples complaints go unheard
Great song choice and great reaction video! But just a tip, when you're reacting to a babymetal song that has "(eng subs)" in the title, make sure to actually turn the captions on!! If you're planning on doing the piano version of monochrome that one has eng subs available as well‼️🦊🤘

Monochrome Piano Version on the First Take is honestly a good follow up after reacting to the original. It really showcases how incredible Su's voice and control is, and that piano is *chefs kiss*
such a brilliant arrangment and Su's voice = WOW!

@@Abigirl_Reacts The song is done in one take (First and only take), as is everything om The First Take. A bit like you record reactions, any mistakes stay inn. - Megitsune
- Iine!
- Doki Doki Morning
- Karate (alternatively you can enjoy the live at Download Festival 2016) but official MV will give you more understanding of the lyrics meaning.
Definitely go for Ijime,.Dame, Zettai but the official live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, that was a turning point on their careers reaching a huge milestone till these days they always remember.
There's an official live version of Brand New Day released last month so highly suggest to check that version first.

Here's a performance of "Metal Kingdom" from PIA Arena where they go full blown theatrical in their concert spectacle's in Japan 🦊🤘
Awesome, thanks so much! 🤘🦊🤘
Noted! I'm jealous you went to this concert 🤘🦊🤘
yeah and we're not talking Milli Vanilli it is Moa/Momo (or Yui before)singing just in the studio earlier. With all their dance moves it would be near impossible to get great backing singing too.
If you ever going to pick IDZ, go for the Sonisphere 2014, a classic and a milestone!
🤘🦊⚡️
All good picks, can't really go wrong at this point. If you're interested in something where it focuses heavily on Su's voice the Monochrome piano ver on The First Take channel is great.
Oh I'm very excited for this. Incoming in about a week!
Asked in Interview aboit favourite lyric:
SU-METAL:"it’s a line in the song MONOCHROME: ‘No matter long the night the morning will arrive.’
“It has been a long night for all of us. For us, it was difficult to perform live and even meet people,” she explains. “Some people are still fighting through this difficult situation. But everyone is gradually returning back into their daily lives. I want to encourage people to keep their chin up and have faith that a brighter future will come even if the sky is pitch black.”
She seems like a sweet girl 🤘🦊🤘
Just in case it was my comment (recall your response saying the Scream and Dance makes sense) lol. The two do frequently provide backing vocals in addition to the crowd interaction - you will see that when you do the Road of Resistance. The scream and dance position has a lot more frequent parts in their older songs (first two albums). They still do quite a bit in the newer ones, but I find they tend to have a fairly loud backing track going so you have to try really hard to hear them.
All three of them are (in my opinion) very good singers.
As others have said, Ijime, Dame, Zettai is a must-see at some point in your journey (Sonisphere in UK [2014] is the usual recommendation due to its importance in Babymetal's international fame)
Congrats on the 1k!
Thanks so much, I'm so happy! 🤘🦊🤘

Welcome back to the Foxhole and now with the new metalverse era🦊🤘🌐
Congrats on reaching 1K subs, pretty sure your channel will still growing a lot, you totally deserve it.
Here's some official info:
_"One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is MONOCHROME and this 2nd pre-release digital single “Monochrome” centers around this theme. From the eyes of the children, what color were the monochrome fireworks lighting up in the night sky? This song expresses the hopeful wish on Ragnarok, which signifies doomsday in Norse mythology, twinkling across the starry skies in rainbow colors."_
This was live at BabyMetal Begins - PIA Arena MM Clear Night, Yokohama on April 2, MomoMetal first concert as an official member (she's the new official member after YuiMetal left the group in 2018), you can notice SuMetal speaking to them in the middle section and giving that recognition.
Next suggestion:
- *Road Of Resistance* live in Japan official MV (2015).

I guess we may as well make the best of it and stay awhile longer and keep drawing them in with more Babymetal....and your great "kawaii" reactions.

Ummm...back 5 seconds...😂
Forgot to mention....

Oh wow, I had to turn on closed captioning to understand what you were saying. Your voice is really low in the video. The audio from the music was good though , and congrats on 1000 sub's the Kitsunes know a good reactor when they see one 🦊🤘
Hmm...Sorry about that! I'll have to see what happened to the mic!

Goosebump metal is right! Haha 🤘🦊🤘
This is by far my favorite song of theirs. And I've been listening to them for years. And I would love to see them live.

Hey fink, thanks so mic for the suggestions! 🤘🦊🤘
On those other songs and have they been requested etc:
'Brand New Day' is a mellow song featuring Tim Henson and Scott LePage from Polyphia and yes it should be on your list.
Adding the ijime to my list! 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts Excellent, thanks🤘🦊👍
While the concerts outside of Japan on the world tour are great to see many different faces up close, the concerts in Japan are the best because the acoustics are so delicately tuned. I can't wait to be in the world of BABYMETAL's songs with everyone at a concert in Japan someday.😉👍
It is my dream to attend one of BabyMetal's concerts in Japan one day! 🤘🦊🤘

Congratulations on the 1000 subscribers!! 🦊🦊🦊 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!!🤘🦊🤘
This song is so much good, heavy riff, beautiful melody and voice, great lyrics+choreography💯🔥
This is one of my favorites so far!
I'm going to react to the piano version next, I can't wait!🤘🦊🤘
best live shows ever they get the crowd rocking
I agree! 🤘🦊🤘
Moa and Momo's voices are a mix of Live and Backing tracks. They are singing, but it's mixed with the backing track as they only have the headset mics.
Ok, I thought so. Not a bad thing at all lol just making sure 🤘🦊🤘
Just finished the review! tysm again for doing these babymetal reviews :) (Also, road to resistance is a great choice!)
My pleasure! haha incoming soon! 🤘🦊🤘
BABYMETAL live shows almost two years are my source of joy.
Electric Callboy MV all three years are my energy boost.
And Harry Mack with Omegle Series allways restoring my faith in humanity (uplifting positive vibes).

Oh interesting, thanks so much for the recommendation! 🤘🦊🤘
Good job👊🏽⚡️Any song you react to is good.🦊🤘🏾
You're too sweet, thank you for the compliment and for watching! 🤘🦊🤘
Momobanger incoming soon! 🤘🦊🤘
Right! I do! I'm thinking I'll get to this soon! 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_ReactsChokotto Love for Yuimetal and Love Machine for Moametal are the songs they sang solo
The MV for Monochrome Is also really worth watching.
Cheers!
Got it, thanks for the reminder! 🤘🦊🤘
Oh got it! 🤘🦊🤘
On today's episode of: Lost in the Comments~
First off, thank you so much for sharing your reactions to BABYMETAL!
I'd watch~
Also Also: As far as official M/V's are concerned, please allow me to cast a vote for "Doki Doki Morning" -- "Karate" -- "Megitsune" One might also consider "IINE" (NOT Line, but rather iine, you're welcome~)
Also the third, esquire: Still here?! WOW, thank you! The One can be a bit daft~ (humans, amiright?!) Don't let the bad apples spoil the .. pi? Enjoy YOUR OWN JOURNEY. @abigirlreacts or anyone reading~
You're too kind, I've noted your suggestions! Bit of a spoiler though, I'll be reacting to the megitsune music video very soon! 🤘🦊🤘
いつもBABYMETALをありがとうございます。
Thank you for watching 🤘🦊🤘
Monochrome (Piano version) on First Take is the most natural thing in life after this one, go for it next.
💯 % next! 🤘🦊🤘
3) the song on your top left (as you were looking at it) is _Ijime Dame Zeitta_ , and it is very popular ; and from what i've seen , i believe the preferred version is Sonisphere 2014 (but i'm open to be corrected if i'm wrong)
4) the other 2 do actually sing (hence the small head-mounted mics) , but they are very often helped by backing tracks. and as you've said, you already have a strong grasp of their role.
Oh it's definitely the 2014 Sonosphere for IjimeDameZettai. It's arguably the most important moment of their career
It took me a minute but I got thier roles finally haha 🤘🦊🤘
🤘🦊🤘 The backing vocal is backtracked. It is sung by Moa. Great song and great reaction. Headbanger live or Megitsune music video next 😉 You also need to check out Monochrome Piano Version (First take). Su's singing is phenomenal there, and Moa sings live.
Ijime Dame Zettai has been requested - particularly the Live at Sonosphere version, which is historical since it introduced them to the world. There's a long story about this performance, and I'm sure someone will give you the details in the comments if you react to it.
Wait...megitsune MUSIC VIDEO over live? The MV must be AMAZING 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts Yes it is. It's similar to the Metali one, but MUCH better.
This song it's always so emotional! Anyway you won't regret doing live performances. Some MV are nice (i already suggested you iine 👀) but you choose! Thank you sm for this content! ❤
I appreciate YOU, thank you for watching! Iine MV is on my list 🤘🦊🤘
Ijime Dame Zettai is a very important song for them and also one of my favorites, such a banger
And probably people requested Road of Reistance Live in Japan, but I think, even if that one is INCREDIBLE, that I prefer PIA arena version
I've been addicted to the pia arena concert so far
Great reaction!
Ijime, Tame, Zetai at MM Concert at PIA Arena is a great performance! Hope you can react to that one soon!
And don’t forget Headbangerrrr
Both are on my list! At this point I'm going to do every song from that concert haha 🤘🦊🤘
Ijime Dame Zettai Live at Sonisphere 2014 is a MUST! It's an integral part of BabyMetal's story becoming the giants they are today. Also, youll find it with subtitles. 😊👍
It's on my list, thank you for suggesting this one! 🤘🦊🤘
*TO me and others. the song had direct references to the dropping of THE ATOM BOMB on Hiroshima August 6, 1945, Su Metal is from Hiroshima and her grandfather was an A BOMB survivor* The lyrics all fit.
That's very interesting, I didn't know that!
Beautifully said Cypher ^_^
Glad i found this! I looked for it and somehow didnt see it, i asked you to watch this one on the piano vid, my bad lol. Very meaningful song if youve lost youre best friend or close family.
Happy you found this too. Thanks so much for watching! 🤘🦊🤘
As a southpaw, i can genuinely appreciate watching your Babymetal reactions because I can see all those (now) left-handed musicians.... the only problem is that it also makes Su right-handed... as she is a southpaw as well.
The only left handed musician I know is my favorite of all time, ronnie radke of Falling in Reverse! 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts Jimi Hendrix ring any bells?
oh was he left handed? cool!
I'll vouch for Elevator Girl, it's so much fun!!!!
Jpn version right?
I’m brand new to the Foxhole as of a couple days ago, and I’ve already spent way too much time binging all their live stuff. Gotta’ say: it’s been really awesome seeing someone else react the same way! 🤘🦊🤘
@@ZeroKnots it's been a fun journey so far!
You're right, there's so many to do! I can't wait to dive more into fox hole 🤘🦊🤘
Oh yea, I almost forgot about gimme chocolate! I'll have to check it out very soon! 🤘🦊🤘
If you want to hear the other 2 girls really sing on there birthday they sing headbanger. It's moabanger and momobanger in the description they sing the second half of the song
That's great. I do have these on my to do list so I can't wait to get to it! 🤘🦊🤘
I would recommend MV AND live😂
But next must be Monochrome (piano ver) on the First Take. Just Su, Moa and a piano (it was just before Momo was announced as a permanent 3rd member)
Oh OK so there's only going to be two of them in this performance, got it. 🤘🦊🤘
Thanks for another great reaction!
Thanks for watching ^_^
The first take of Monochrome will give a better showcase of Sumetal and Moametals vocals and when you do headbanger watch Legend 1997 version.
Ohh ok thank you for the suggestion! 🤘🦊🤘
Monochrome is easily becoming my favorite so far! I do enjoy watching both the music video and the live performances. Always hard to choose lol
Looking forward to more Babymetal videos,
Thanks so much for the suggestions! 🤘🦊🤘
08:29 Su and Moa are stretching out for Momo that doesn't join them immediately although she had officially announced as the official 3rd member the day before.
But Su and Moa are like: You're one of us.. come...!
Haha that's one way to invite someone over! 🤘🦊🤘
Excellent reaction. One criticism, the audio from your microphone is very low, I had to increase the PC's audio a lot.
Agreed.
Hmm...Sorry about that! I'll have to see what happened to the mic!
Yea this is the first group I've seen work this way with thier vocals but honestly, I think it works! It's been fun so far 🤘🦊🤘
Nice one, thanks!
To be honest, no one recommended "Elevator girl" ever haha... but this is the best version by far: "Elevator Girl" (Live at Legend-MM): ruclips.net/video/6IC6ia3POec/видео.html
Others:
"Ijime, Dame, Zettai" (Live at Sonisphere 2014): ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html
"Brand New Day" (Live at FOX_FEST feat. Tim Henson & Scott LePage from Polyphia ): ruclips.net/video/G9li0LFVaGU/видео.html
For "Headbanger" I suggest you to watch two live performances, one from 2013 and a newer and special one from 2024:
"Headbanger" (Live at Legend 1997): ruclips.net/video/QEsOaMbNFww/видео.html
"Headbanger" (Live at Legend-MM aka "Momobanger"): ruclips.net/video/19nntDDbYdg/видео.html

Haha elevator girl is not that popular it seems 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts Let's say it's not among my top favorites (specially the English version). But I have to admit that I enjoyed the Legend-MM version... a lot. 😁
I'll have to take a listen!
AbiMetal! 🦊 another great reaction! Before you move on to the next song. I recommend listening to Monochrome piano version. You will definitely feel the feels. Suzuka (SuMetal) has such an amazing voice and you can definitely hear it in this version. You will not regret it. 🦊🦊🦊

I’m sure I’m not the first to say .. please react to the “first take” performance .. you definitely hear Moa Metal singing
It's on my list, thanks so much! 🤘🦊🤘
I would suggest Headbanger Moa and Momo version if you want to see the other two girls singing. Moa has a very good voice, Momo has the cutest voice (despite she talked that "grandma" way for Metali and her normal voice sound deeper/more mature than Moa and Su xD Momo is the youngest of the group too)
Yes I definitely need to see this one, hopefully reacting to it soon! 🤘🦊🤘
Road of Resistance is a good one, just please do the "Live in Japan" one on the official youtube channel!
Also, hope to see Headbanger (and maybe Akatsuki unfinished and Babymetal Death?) from Legend 1997 soon!
Hmm road of resistance coming soon! 🤘🦊🤘
If you react to Iijime, Dame, Zettai, you HAVE TO pick the live from Sonisphere in 2014. It's one of their milestone performance.
This one is absolutely on my list! 🤘🦊🤘
Good reaction! I love your attitude, I knew you through Babymetal's reactions and I like watching your videos. You can react to Yava! ? They recently uploaded it the legend MM concert live version to their official RUclips channel. I love the choreography of that song
