Wow. Hello. I just came back to say that this channel used to be a part of my childhood. Watching the intro and saying,”DEEP DIGGER DAN, HE’S BACK! COME ON, GET IN!” and then watch him uncover old rusty weapons which I still enjoy seeing! It’s good to see this still! Thank you
Lots of fun in the sun guys and great footage of you assisting with the drop-down safety gates and traffic. What are the odds it would break, right when you were there?! Glad they got it going again and everyone was happy in the end. Nice veg stand of your Moms friend too. I wish we had it here. Have a great day!
My favorite parts of the video was Dan getting to help out with the bridge and show how professional he is and Mazzy pulling that gorgeous, rusty old pick out of the canal. That one is most likely around two hundred years old or so, a valuable collectable here in the states. Many people here in the US are looking for those rare ones for their private collections. Put it up for auction, you're sure to have a bidding war, perhaps more than a thousand buckaroos. Save all tools, don't toss, ya never know. Side note .... If you find iron objects in the water make sure to keep them in a bucket of water until it gets the rust cleaned off of them because when exposed to air the rust will eat away at the tool, de-valuating it. Kept under water the air cannot get at it. If your Mom would allow you to put the pick axe in a plastic container and cover it with a jar of any kind of molasses and gallon of vinegar, then let it simply sit (outside because of the vinegar smell) at her place for a few weeks, the solution will take away all the rust, no work for you. May need to replenish the solution to remove all the rust. If you don't soak them right away you will need to knock off and or wire brush them then saturate them in some kind of oil to seal off and block the oxygen. Hope this helps. ((Hugs))) to you both. : )
so Mazzy, my grand kids watch with me, and my Remington (4 yrs) has taken to your accent.. "that chair" has become "yaat chair", yaat = that, yaap = yes.. it is so sweet and he loves you and Dan.. blessings..
The pick axe head is actually an original 18th century “pick mattock”, very rare find that. It would have belonged to a canal worker digging the canal. Cleaned up and with an oak reproduction handle it would be worth a lot of money...Congrats guys, a very good day indeed. 👍
Yeah...Properly restored I’ve seen them go for over £1000 at auction. If it was the Brunel first generation mattock you could be talking more than double as it would be snapped up by a collector as they are so rare 👍
Mazzys chain chain looked like an old convicts bracelet with rings for the wrists nice find.nice look thru the narrow boat thanks for that ,by the way mazz wants a boat ! You get new magnets don't you !
I've only been magnet fishing a handful of times Haven't really found anything super cool a piece of an old fence I'm fishing hook but last time I went out I got someone's old magnet
Awesome Magnet Fishing Dan and Mazzy!!! Best finds the door off of a safe,a very old square nail, first ever square nail found whilst Magnet Fishing. The 2 pickaxe heads and that interesting tag and working pliers . This canal definitely has some good stuff.
Have you tried magnet fishing in ponds? Less visited ones especially, might find something even if it's trash. Back when I was a kid I found an old rotary phone that way once, in a pond that was off the local trails.
Well done , Flag-man Dan , Director of Traffic. Those pliers are called either channel-locks or , water-pump pliers here in the States. You should scrap all that metal and get money for it. Do you do that over there ? Safe travels, you Trolls. 😎👍🍺
Enjoyed that great video, makes me want to get my magnets out. Could the numbered tags be to do with canal boat registration or to do with the cargo carried years ago?
Yea mazzy wins. It’s not that bad of a idea house boat you could wake up every morning with a nice view of the water in going to sleep with the sound of water helps some people sleep better
Hey Dan & Mazzy that was a great magnet fishing video / hunt , love finding old tools , very neat bridge and town that guys barge boat was pretty sweeeeeeeeeeet , like an RV on the water ( always liked those houseboats) stay safe guys and good luck on your next adventure ,,( BIG thumbs up from your friend in Alaska )
Hello Dan and Mazzy, Love your channel, cheers from Florida - I stumbled across your channel while I was looking into metal detecting and have since bought a machine of my own. I love the Digging the coast series and wild camping Scotland, I have a lot of catching up to do. I think the magnet fishing is interesting .. I did some Kayaking with some friends and I know for sure, two of them overturned their kayak and dumped a phone and keys into the pond - so I'd bet there are tons of junk in the waterways here in Florida. Anyway, I love watching your adventures (especially Hadriens Wall - which I heard about and thanks to you I know all about it now : )
Cmon Mazzy youv got the key's to the happy box you tell tell him you want a barg or no more bacon butties just think of the find's draging a magnet behind you
Omg get a barge guys...you can get anywhere in the country ,Albeit at 4mph.no more £100 +fuel bills.no more car parking charges stuck in traffic or road works. No road tax. You can go magnet fishing anytime you want...tell him mazzy tell him.
Hey Mazzy. If Dan keeps telling you what you can or cannot have then you should start telling him what he can or cannot have! Tehehe.

Thats amazing, I would have over looked that and left it if I had found it.
Yeah...Properly restored I’ve seen them go for over £1000 at auction. If it was the Brunel first generation mattock you could be talking more than double as it would be snapped up by a collector as they are so rare 👍

Back when I was a kid I found an old rotary phone that way once, in a pond that was off the local trails.
Cant believe you found that
As mentioned in an earlier comment, I think you'll find the "safe" door is the door off a BT payphone cash box, everyone was nicking them in Nineties.
wow love the shorts

10:33, cow identification tag
Some people near me pulled a couple of grenades out of the canal yesterday. Would be interesting if it were you two!
Good thing you knew sign language lol
Yea mazzy wins. It’s not that bad of a idea house boat you could wake up every morning with a nice view of the water in going to sleep with the sound of water helps some people sleep better
Always better to find a safe door as opposed to an unsafe door, they can cause horrible accidents 🤭
Is it legal to drink on board a barge, while operating it?
I couldn't tell you. They only go 5 miles per hour. You are certainly allowed one drink whether in a car or on a boat in the UK
at 9:45 channel lock pliers, very handy (in the right hands )
Hey Dan & Mazzy
that was a great magnet fishing video / hunt , love finding old tools , very neat bridge and town

Channel lock pliers. That's the tool you found. Is it worth trying to fish those canals? Would the fish even be good to eat?

When you get sick of your RV you should get a barge and continue travel trolls videos on the barge.
