Having just subscribed to your channel I can honestly say it’s amazing what you do with the Tiger 900 RP, I have the same bike but in Khaki, if I could do half the things you do I would save myself a shed load of money, thanks for creating great content buddy, looking forward to seeing more 👍🏻
Thank you so much for the kind words! I unfortunately don’t have this workshop anymore as we’ve moved to Wales from Kent. But I have a 6000 mile service video coming soon 👌🏼
Amazing, next project could be, improving and lowering the top case plaque, less parts, and lower center of gravity, I have never been a fan of givi mount systems
Must be nice to have access to a machine shop. I'm making a high fender mount for my Tuareg 660 and I only have a hacksaw and a drill. gotta be creative with what I have good job on your mount, looks great!
I started with the same my friend. It is really nice, but I won’t have it for very long as I’m selling it and moving out. It’s hard to keep on top of the payments, it’s definitely a luxury cost.
Thanks! There are companies like Evotech that do, but the satnav sticks out so far that it’s just ugly. Tried to get mine as close to the windshield as possible.
I like your off set Quad Lock phone mount like that. I'm gonna move mine from center (too tight and small for key at startup etc). What did you need to do that additional from Quadlock? I also have the dampener etc. Great vid. Well done man!
@@advdan I had a Samsung Active5 (10inch) tablet, I've been trying to get mounted now for 9 mths and still cant figure it out successfully. It has to stick out from the curvature of the windshield enough, yet is heavy and can easily deflect downward with bumps and off road stuff etc. I will have to fabricate a mount or something somehow, as all the aftermarket solutions have to be combined and mix and matched and none of them work well enough to mount it. I'm very frustrated and not even using the tablet at all as...nothing works?!?!?!? I'll even pay you if you were able to make one for me... not kidding and i'm desperate LOL.
Nice work mate. Can you not maybe either mass manufacture these or sell the design to an engineering company. There are thousands of people who would purchase these. I know that I want one designed for my new Tiger 1200 and by the looks of the responses to a video I posted that there would be a lot of buyers for a 1200 solution as well. Me first please mate. I have said for a while now that a good design would bolt onto the back of the display.
Thanks Alan, I probably could to be honest. I have the resources and contacts to do so, but this was just a prototype and it does wobble a little because its attached to the TFT which is designed to move with bumps and vibrations. This was just a prototype to see if I could make something that didn't bolt to the screen, so far it works but I may need a few more revisions before I'd be happy to sell them.
@@advdan For sure it's a great upgrade, friend of mine wants me to build something similar for him and I am just thinking about possible improvements. Final look is amazing, very inspiring video.
What a pity, with all the effort that Triumph has put into lightening the weight of that wonderful Tiger, and you have not used aluminium. How much does the hardware you have made weigh?
That’s a great mount! I recently purchased the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro. Couldn’t find a GPS mounting system that I liked until I saw you build yours. Can I commission you to build a mount like that for my bike?
Great metal working skills. I enjoyed watching this because my hands and brain don't work with metal!

Nice work! Have a Tiger too an still searching something equal... Would be the last thing i need for it to be perfect ;)
Great video. You should send this design to triumph so they implement this for future versions. Will you make one me 😅
Good job mate
Thanks Greg! Glad you enjoyed it

That is a very good idea! I used to have the triumph plate on my 800xca and it sits much lower. I will have to try and make one, thanks!

@@advdan I can imagine yeah. Isn't there some space around you that rent their tools?
I don't even have a drill :p When you're already on the road, improving and making new stuff isn't easy.
Nice job...., 👍
Thanks! Much better than having it move with the windshield 😎
Great skills - but why oh why don’t Triumph make these ? I can’t imagine anyone buying a Tiger not wanting to mount a Sat Nav !!
Thanks!

We need to ride again soon!
What about those blinkers? Front and Rear.

It’s much better there. And also I can mount my drone remote on it too 👌🏼
Thanks for the kind words 👌🏼

@@advdanplease let me know when you realize your final design. I’m buying one! 🙏🏾💪🏾👌🏾
That spraying job though... :P Overall nice job, does it wibrate?
Professional job 😆 It does a little bit but I’d prefer that then it being in the way when the windshield is up 🤷🏻♂️

Probably about 400grams.
