So much hip-hop, dance, hair metal, indie rock and bubblegum pop. Good times. Thank you for reminding me just how much I (as a ten year old boy) used to love Vix, the lead singer of Fuzzbox.
This is an amazing collection! So many good songs and some known and forgotten classics. 1989 is an underrated year for music imo 👍 I have five joint favourites - the heartbreaking 'I Can't Stay Away From You' by Gloria Estefan. The stadium rock power ballad classic by Poison 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn'. An excellent slice of power pop from the lovely Paula Abdul. 'Straight Up' is a classic. Surprised it was never #1. The viciously underrated Anita Baker with her beautiful soul ballad 'Just Because'. And finally....Kim Wilde's underrated ballad 'Love In The Natural Way'. No seconds and thirds....as too many!
The girls in Fuzzbox were hot in the late 80’s. They started out as an indie band with clothes on and strangely became a pop group with very little clothing 😊
Thanks for this video. Big names, SO many talented bands and solo performers. My favourites Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Bonney M, Bananarama, Gloria Estefan and Depeche Mode. Great!!!!
I’m always amazed at the amount of 1960s/1970s ‘remixes’ that were released in the late 1980s… anyone know why? I don’t remember them being used in TV ads, which happened quite often in the early 1990s British charts, mostly thanks to Levi’s
Having saw this on a Facebook group I am on, I think a fair few of these were either left over stock from record shops because they heard it in a film or TV programme or cash-ins by labels to help greatest hits. The Fleetwood Mac re-entries I'm guessing is due to Mick Fleetwood presenting the Brits that year.

Love these entries vids - catches all the classics that weren't fully noticed at the time and didn't get very high or last too long in the charts.

Love the Hollies and John Farnham.
That was even worse than I remember it.
So you'd rather jack than Fleetwood Mac?
Wouldn’t we all!
