O gur mise th'air mo sgaradh
'S ged do chanam cha bhreug e

    Cha robh furasd ri fheudainn
'S cha do sheas an Cul-lodair
    Fear do choltais bu treine

Och nan och, gur mi bochdag
'S mi lan osnaich an comhnaidh
Chaill mi duil ri thu thighinn
    Thuit mo chridhe gu dortadh
    Cha tog fidheall no clarsach

@@NathanielDowell we do have the yearly highland games in Boise. There is Celtic music played there. I myself love Celtic music. I find most of it on the internet. I'm getting a bit tired of the noise that passes for music these days it is good to get a break from it.

Julie Fowlis is amazing, and listen to that arrangement. The songs are never over-played, which allows her phrasing to be a conversation rather than a declaration.

Julie Fowlis - what a special artist! I'd love if she would be the next president of Ireland. We've already had I think 2 Anglo-Irish presidents, a Cuban/Spanish president, time for a great artist from Scotland who is also fluent in Irish (French as well).

Julie , Duncan et al do such a fine job on this beautiful Gaelic song. Although I don't understand the language, this song brings me to tears so it must be sad. Gaelic music has now become my favourite , especially when sung with such emotion and passion as Julie Fowlis brings to her music. I'm sure she has performed in Cape Breton before but I have yet to attend a concert. I'm putting it on My bucket list. Thanks for sharing.
