  • Back in 2001 at my guy TANA DA BEAST crib, JAKK FROST would spit one of my favorite verses from him. The beat was hard, the black & white camera settings set it off, and his aggression & punchlines were on point. He doesn't get enough credit for his imprint on the underground rap scene but he was definitely a trail blazer in the city. This scene gave me chills when it originally went down. Sheesh!!!

      You're absolutely correct. The theme of most street rap has been violence, pain, and aggression. There were definitely tons of dope street rappers that never talked about violence or drugs, just dope metaphors and reality rap... Slaughter Rico, Scrap Metal, etc.
