Wanna mention something important and that is a certain skill (Hunter instinct) that is still bugged :/ so pick Killing spree instead!
New videos will be out quiet often so make sure you don't miss the new Witcher 3 videos!
Will play the whole game from start to finish including dlc's and also finish all contracts+bosses ofc on the hardest difficulty with enemy upscaling on!

Spectre enemies do elemental damage not monster and this build heave zero armour resistance to elemental damage, only protective coating of oil. I follow this guide and change my build to exact like this one, so I put elemental resistance rune instead of quen.

    • @marwangaming4708
      @marwangaming4708  4 года назад +4

@@M0ntarro Spectres deal almost no damage, even on low lvl their damage is low.
They deal elemental damage but they are monsters, you can test this with ursine armor vs feline armor and you'll see that even with huge elemental resist you take more damage with feline armor than ursine armor vs spectres.
Elemental gems are also imo a waste since quen gems works against every single enemy in the game and make the quen shield stay on longer for majority of fights in the game.
Remeber that I am not saying how you should play here, only what I think.
So if you enjoy your build go for it =)

I absolutely lóve this game! I've completed the entire game, incl HoS and BnW-expansions 4 or 5x now.
Newgame+ save is amazing if you grinded out your first game, really puts 'being an OP juggernaut' in perspective.
Personally i really prefer the Ursine+Alchemy build, as it makes you a near-unkillable béast! High critical damage, high health, high armor, imo thé best build.
Wolven-gear is imo very good overall: a bit of everything?
Cat-gear is perhaps more powerful, but more or less makes you a 'glass-cannon': yes you dish out tremendous damage, but you're vulnerable, véry vulnerable!
Griffin Gear is a super-sign booster if you like playing with signs, though signs are álways useful in ány build! Quen, Axii, Yrden, Igni, Aard; all part of your arsenal when you're facing the vást variety of enemy's.
Then in the BnW-expansion you also get Manticore gear which is fun, but imho the least good of the Witcher-armor sets. Then again, it comes down to personal preferances: you like bombs? Use Manticore gear?
I júst binge-watched Season 2 on Netflix, and i'm very itchy to restart a game. Not a Newgame+ with a good save, but from scratch! Grind it all out: get upto level 50+ with a full Grandmaster set of Witcher gear, a tón o gold, and as many if not all potions and decoctions learnt as an advantage in the Newgame+ after that.
Tbf, i've grinded out my original fírst game so extreme; getting éverything out of the game it has to offer, it actually becomes a tad boring to play a fresh game, without all those advances from talents, gear, and other additions. But it still is térribly fun!!
Perhaps thé best game released so far, in the history of computer-gaming? This game was released in may 2015... Atm is december 2021: 6.5 years later and people are still making (new)guides, and other video's about this game, because its THAT good!
I even like to believe that Netflix saw good money in this franchise, simply because Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was súch an amazing succes!
The game just has it all: A very detailed, deep and touching storyline, expansive development system from talents, potions, weapons, armor, and special abilitys to educate you from some 'standard NPC-slasher' to an absolute and unstoppable killing-machine!

First of all, great video, I'll use some tips for myself in my next playthrough
Now, I know it's an old video, but I think that's worth mentioning
If u can combine ability for 3 pieces of Wolf School Armor ("You can apply 3 oils on sword at once") with skill, that makes oils doesn't wear off, u can get permament +50% dmg boost to most enemies, which is in my opinion OP, if u don't want to change oils everytime u start a fight.
Sorry for my english, I hope u will understand what I'm talking about

I always say though that if you like to have the blade oils to never wear off then by all means go for it =)
Since this build is mainly going for tankyness and dps we cannot use the wolf witcher set :/ Cool idea though and hope that this guide makes your build even better =)

(I know it's late but I just got recommendation from yt)
Recently started W3 the third time on the death march but I have really annoying habit to forget distributing the skills' points 😒
So I always end up with the same build I did on my first playthrough when I finially remember to use points after 10 levels without any skill 😅
But this video inspired me to try a new things! :D Thanks.
In W1 an W2 I was really focused on alchemy but in Witcher 3 I really didn't pay enough attention to it.
I was using only oils, regeneration's potions and Quen.
But now I'm really curious, so I'm gonna remove all points and start with this build.

Do you have enemy upscaling on? It also increases hp on alot of enemies.
Damage output is low at the start since you wont have much damage due to gear and low amount of skillpoints.
Dogs are extremly power in the Witcher and they work like this, if the dog hits you and you try to attack it back it will continue with a fast attack that staggers you and can crit, same as drowners.

Ekhidna decoction is actually better than Ekimmara, depending on the attack types you use, I for example use quick rend attacks, they consume almost no stamina and regenerate same amount of health as casting a sign for full stamina bar would, that’s 10% of your vitality, in my case each rend strike regenerates over 1200 vitality, Ekimmara regenerates 10% of the dealt damage, so if you deal less damage than your vitality it’s better to go with Ekhidna (or both if you cam lol)

  • @electrified90s
    @electrified90s 4 года назад

Thought you might want to know about an extra tip. As you talked about the superior golden oriole, which is my favourite potion. When fighting the hard bosses to increase vitality regeneration I would have the devil's puffball bomb equipped with the mod that allows bomb fragments to split, then drink a golden oriole potion. Which basically meant each bomb you throw would turn into about 6 bombs. That way you gain health from being poisoned by your own bombs as well as poison your enemy. I used to refill my vitality many a time using this trick.

Crippling Strikes being "not that good" is an understatement of the century. Even 5 points in it deals so little damage, a single light attack deals more than Crippling Strike DoT would do in 20+ seconds. I don't know what they were thinking, making that skill. Then again those are the same people who made damage dealing grenades and signs that won't even DENT enemies in NG+. It's not a sign of balance that 80% skills make zero difference in game.
You can have so much Sign intensity that Igni has 100% chance to set things on fire. The "on flame" CC only lasts for like 1.5 sec and all targets are usually at your throat before you can get a solid Rend charge up. Deals less than 5% HP damage in NG+. Same with Aard's shockwave damage. You literally can't see difference in monster's HP bar. Not to mention even with 100% stagger chance monsters just shrug it off before you can even get a light attack in (at least in NG+). Same with Grenade damage. Tried the multiple grenades perk, it still took less than 10% hp (not even taking the yellow grenade perk. 200% of nothing is still nothing, it just halves ammo). The only grenade in NG+ useful for more than blowing up monster nests is Northern Wind (even that's resisted by half enemies and everyone above your level), with Moon Dust and Dimeritium Bomb being half useful against select enemies (since Yrden is useless AND small AND too short to deal with most enemies).
So far every single Witcher build devolves into melee/mutagen high crit build with Quen as the only useful sign, because nothing else seems to work in NG+

I think it's nice that the game is mostly about sword/decoctions =)
Isn't that what a witcher is all about? =)
I understand that you feel like there isn't much build diversity but there are alot of nice builds, you can go tanky as hell for example with signs or sword or glass cannon with signs or swords which is already 4 solid builds.
Sign builds being much much weaker though!

    • @ytubestolemyhandle

@@marwangaming4708 my point was, there are several ways to scale sword damage, and they all complement each other. On the other hand, Sign intensity does literally almost nothing, and bombs do not scale at all. So in the end, you have no real choice of a build. Swords or nothing.
I've tried different mutagens, but they all feel underwhelming.
Sometimes there are fun moments tho. Remember that red skill with few % chance of instakilling? Yesterday it procced for me while I was killing a red skull archgriffin. Undying has an invisible 30s cooldown! Even if an Adrenaline Point is available
Hunter Instinct has been glitched since the game came out! Not working in V1.31 --> Killing spree is totally fine and super overpowered
Otherwise, the build is great. If you have that much toxicity and Euphoria active, you can use whatever armor you would like since the damage will be insane anyways.
For highest damage output, Manticore armor and Nilfgaard gauntlets (crit damage) / new moon trousers (crit damage) OR Feline Armor (Works even well with Bloodbath on death march, if you dont want to use Euphoria and play around with other abilities)
For a more defensive / utility build with (still very strong) damage, i can recommend the Grandmaster Wolven set. 3 pieces will allow you to apply 3 oils.
Combined with the oil skills in the alchemy skills (Infinite oil uptime/ Protective coating / poisoning oils)
Will give you lots of resistance against selected enemy types.
    Decoctions:
    *_Defensive_*
Ekkimara is always good for regenerating health.
Arachas decoction: Get your equip load as low as possible and receive incredible resistances (tested on 30/170 equip load, approx. 70% less dmg received from bandits - Death March)
Wraith decoction: Get a free Quen shield when an enemy takes 30% of your health in 1 hit
    *_Offensive_*
    As stated in the video

    • @marwangaming4708
      @marwangaming4708  4 года назад +1

Yes sure but you could lose adrenaline when you rend or wirl and then without the potion you have nothing to get that instant point.
Also undying sometimes wont even proc, bugged for me a couple of times :/
I just tested it now and you're right hunter instinct is still bugged but killing spree is disgusting and a must have once you reach higher lvls!
Wolven is nice but will not give as much resistance as ursine.
As you can see in the video I use manticore chest, new moon trousers, nilfguardian guantlets and manticore boots.
Tested ursine chest and it gives alot of resistance against everything.
Not a fan of wraith decoction since this build rarely loses shield and will 1 hit almost any enemy.
On higher lvls you can have both wirl+rend, fast and strong attacks.
Rend with this build kills almost any enemy in 1 hit, even some bosses.
I killed djinn in ng+ with only 3-4 attacks on dm+enemy upscaling.

Hello there ! Pretty nice guide ! I don't know if you heard about FCR3. It's a balance mod realized by a game designer who worked on tw3. I was afraid that it would ruin the game's experience but in fact, it's really lore and player friendly. It feels op at some points in the game but very interesting during DLC playthrough. End game, it gives you the possibility of choosing between some playstyles just like you can equip some oils/bomb/potions before a specific fight. I highly recommend it to those who want a different taste of gameplay after their first playtrough.

The most overpowered combination you can do no matter what your build is would have to be Quen Griffin School techniques and medium armor
There are some enemies in the DLC who can hit through quen so don't rely on it and do practice but Griffin School techniques gives you so much versatility it's ridiculous it's a must-have for any hybrid build

    • @marwangaming4708

This build in the dlc shreds everything, no need for Griffin school. It's not bad but the tankiest is ursine and if you wanna go even tankier you can swap out euphoria for mutated skin and fight the nilfguardian army without a problem.

Advising the use of Axii in all dialogues is not good, IMO. The story can and does get impacted if you use Axii when there's more than one NPC involved - since it doesn't work as well on groups of people. One specific example is when you're trying to find out about Dijkstra's treasure... if you use Axii with the witch hunters, that does have an impact on the story! I advise that you use Axii sparingly and only when it's against one single NPC. Also, I find that a different dialogue option rather than Axii is always far more interesting than the Axii outcome. You do not need the delusion skill to fully complete this game and I would argue that the alternative to delusion is always far more interesting story-wise.

    • @marwangaming4708
      @marwangaming4708  2 года назад

I and the rest of the Witcher community strongly disagree. It does not impact the story negatively and even with the witch hunter quest which you do not have many choices to impact the outcome.
So you should almost always use it, remember that xp is worth alot more on deathmarch.

When wearing the entire set, after you kill an enemy it heals you.

Hey great guide. Could you explain more on how it gets easier once you get ursine gear? This is a light gear build and the runewright is first available at lvl 32 right? So it will be heavy armor with light build, besides my first playthrough i finished the base game at around lvl 30 so this build seems like more of an easy NG+ build rather than a beginner build. Great info and guide regardless, just curious because most of this doesn't seem to be beginner at all (as in early game).

Hello! Thank you for the compliment! =) This is the exact build I go when I do 0 death full 100+hours all bosses on the hardest difficulty+enemy upsacling, doing it twice live on twitch.tv.
The heavy armor is for certain bosses/parts that will allow you to just tank up a huge amount of damage, if you face the djinn on death march+enemy upscaling you go with the build with feline armor that I have a guide for on youtube.
Early game you can use feline armor with the same exact build I have here but once you hit higher lvls 28-34 and get the chance to get to the runefinder you will be able to turn all gear into light armor with better stats than feline armor which will give you more dps+alot more defense!
I usually go with feline from lvl 17-25 once I get lvl 25 ursine armor I use that til I found the higher lvl ursine chest+nilfguardian gauntlets, new moon trousers and later manticore boots.
