On this episode we explain what has happened behind the scenes after our dream garage burnt down a few weeks ago. The Drift Games Studios is no more, but we do have some exciting plans for the future and can finally share them with you guys. It's about to get busy on the channel...

From a fire alarm tech, please install fire sprinklers in the new compound. I don't want to see your team go through this madness ever again. I know you don't either... much support, cheers!
Full aircraft hanger suppression system would be overkill but not a bad idea with the foam system. But yeah if not sprinklers are a solid idea.
They had a sprinkler system in the old building that burned down but it was so antiquated it couldn't keep up with the flames. They had even said something about some of the metal sprinkler pipes started to melt because the heat was so extreme.
They had sprinklers in the engine block but sprinklers just won't help I a fire that came from a garage where there is flammable oil petrol engines etc
Sprinklers are only designed to get everyone out of the building and not to suppress the fire itself. It happened to a Home Depot here where they had fire sprinklers active and the entire building burned to the ground. The smoke alarms were even late to warn anyone and had staff on the intercom warning people to leave the building. It was the sprinkler system that delayed the spread of the fire allowing for everyone to escape in time.
I doubt they’ll ever have to worry about a fire ever again after this nightmare lol probably have carbon dioxide vents pumped into the shop when the fire alarms go off

This is absoultely great and having all the paper work sorted must be a lot off the plate, its good to see it wasnt a total loss and you can rebuild with all the help and community coming together its savage stuff, cant wait to see whats to come

Good morning, I started following you guys about a month before the fire.. my heart hurt for all of you and everything you lost. From everything I've seen via social media, you guys do something great for the car culture and have turned me into a huge drift and drift games fan. Thank you for all you do for the car community! Yea kinda sucks to see them take a sponsorship from them, no matter how much $ they need, being willing to send your fans to scam is how you have no fans.
The thing about Drift Games fans is this-they know everything they’ve worked for is now gone so takes on sponsorship money for them to rebuild their life’s is a small drop in a ocean they’ve had to navigate.

As a guy who was traumatized in high school by a male teacher, and essentially told by my parents to "get over it", I appreciate you telling your story in the intro and your new sponsor.
I still get anxious and cannot work well with male doctors or authority figures. It wasn't until eight years later that I was actually diagnosed with cPTSD and I still feel my parents downplay the effect it's had on me.
Guys (at least in the US) are pretty much ignored or made fun of if they talk about real mental issues that don't fit into what pop culture says is ok. Hearing you talk so openly about this makes me want to cry.
I wish nothing but happiness and security for you in your future, I hope you heal, stay kind to yourself and never be afraid to talk. I'm proud of you.

Awesome "Short" and Long Term Goals there Dave! Frankly I love the idea of a compound for you guys and the car community, and all your friends. I am sure you have an amazing Architect and planning consultant on board to work with the local council to get this idea through the planning and permit process. I wish you nothing but the best in this new goal.

so happy for drift games getting back on their feet in such little time. even with all the help they've been given I don't think I would be able to just get back to doing what I worked so hard on for 10 years. I can't believe their strength and frankly I wouldn't be anywhere near thinking of building a new place yet.
I knew you guys weren't gonna let this defeat you, excited to hear about the plans and I'll be damned if I said I wasn't hyped to see what cars are coming to the channel next. I'll be here for the journey no doubt about it.
What doesn't break you only makes you stronger and better..... so many going on about the insurance without understanding that even if got 100 million euro payout doesn't even come close to what was lost, in this instance most of what was 1 of 1 and irreplaceable.
With the new place one thing i would recommend is have the place over insured and ideally a sprinkler system, not saying it would have been beneficial in this case but if 'touch wood' it doesn't happen again, may not be as severe.
Time to look forward to bigger and better times.

It's still so heart wrenching to see the clips of the devastation that took place in the engine block but it's so nice to see how positive you are and the plans you guys have moving forward are going to be insane! Can't wait to see you guys come back bigger and better!

I had my first S13 stolen and that was heart breaking enough for me, I still on the rare occasion have a dream of my current one getting stolen. You guys have done so much for the car/drift community and I'm so stoked to see how many people and companies have jumped in to support! Long road ahead but you guys have got this!!! 💪

As unfortunate as it may sound i only found this channel when the fire episode was on my YT suggested videos to watch. But I’ll say this…im glad because i’m locked in now. This is so exciting, happy for you guys. As a guy who lost his car after it got robbed and burned to the ground by robbers, 3 weeks after you guys lost everything, I can only imagine what you guys have been going through for the last couple of weeks. So much stuff to do for just 1 car, so I'm sure it's a lot of work and fighting with insurance to get something back. I'm relatively new to you guys, the car community I follow and their support of you in your time of need drew my attention to what happened, what you had collectively achieved and who you are as a team.
Oh boy, and what an epic crew you all are! How i've been blind to your presence all these years I just can't fathom. I guess drift cars not being my thing explains it but as a fellow petrolhead I still can't understand how you were not at least on my radar.

I was born with Cerebral palsy and was a vegetable basically and was told i was never going to live past the age of 16. happy to say I am now 44 and have 3 degrees in the computer field. I love cars but sadly cannot drive due to my condition but I live vicariously through adam lz which is how i found your channel and through the youtube car community as well

So much respect for you guys, so many people think men are all just supposed to internalize all our problems, it’s expected at this point, so nice to hear others speaking up and speaking out, we all have downs, it’s ok to talk about it, break down be emotional. We shouldn’t have to hide it and suffer. Respect for getting the help you need and talking out your feelings. Been going through some tough times as well and this is the best advice anyone can give, talk to someone, be emotional, you’re no less of a man for showing emotions. 🤙🏻

Having mental issues myself at the moment I can only say it is tough and won’t even wish this my biggest enemy. Just like you said sometimes you feel good and start being positive and something silly happens and everything is negative again.
Currently was going on a good streak of feeling good to sitting home with big pain in my back and yesterday crying like a baby, because I needed help to put on my clothes because of the pain. Seeing your videos cheers me up a little bit, so don’t underestimate what these videos can do.

I got some of the worst news in my life today so now my wife and I have to start over again after paying $50,000 on a rent to own property from a shady so called friend of mine, who got greedy and stopped excepting the payments and is selling the home out from under us! And the court has decided in his favor! So I may lose my wife to! But my ex wife caused us to lose everything in 2016 and I was back on my feet and in this house by 2018 but that’s all a loss now! But I’ve came from nothing back to where I was until today and I can do it all again! Just will make sure that I don’t get in a shady situation again and setup to be taken advantage of again!! You guys have been a big part in my mental health for a while now and I thank you for that!! When I’m back on my feet I hope to come to Ireland and see you guys in the future!!
