What sort of operating system does this run, android? I have ppsspp on my iPhone and use a service called HunsterVerse to play psp games online, and it requires an app called OpenVPN to work. The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on the RP3 is being unsure if I’ll be able to set up HunsterVerse and OpenVPN on it. If it runs Android or some version of windows I should be able to do it.
In PPSSPP, the auto frameskip is actually very good and helps out a lot of devices. It's an AUTO frameskip, so it'll only skip it if it really needs it, and most of the time, its not noticeable. Sometimes without the AUTO frameskip, its actually choppier. I've tried with and without auto frameskip on many devices, and I generally just prefer to have it on, because its barely noticeable most of the time.
Have you tried a hacked PSP? I've gone back to it after the patchy performance and small buttons of emulation handhelds. The PSP holds up surprisingly well, particularly the E1000 Street model with a good screen and comfortable size.
I tried to go back to a PSP but I ended up missing the creature comforts that emulation provides. I've turned an old phone with a SD845 into a dedicated handheld and it plays everything I've thrown at it perfectly.
its hold well but the hardware not specially the battery, many of PSP fans complain same thing and that is the battery while you can find it cheap but its will fail eventually, some even buy stock of PSP battery just in case.
yea the psp is decent, but the retroid pocket 2+ is honestly a way better system than a psp, and at least here in Brazil a good funcioning psp is arround the 100$ price,, and the retroid can run way more stuff than the psp, n64 can probably run at 2x resolution, while on the psp you struggle to get full speed 1x. you can even play some ps2 and GameCube games. honestly 100$ for all that is a Very difficult spot for the psp
This thing is glitchy trash. And it's too short. Sadly the Amazon listing also tricked me by saying the triggers were analog. Still need to do the review to blast them for that lie. I kind of knew they weren't but still was hopeful. This thing was cool for like a day then the more I added the glitchier it got until it was just an annoying little hand cramper.....
Great to see you posting again mate! 👍
Thanks Razor Burn, great to hear from you again. I just got super busy the last couple of weeks!
@@JimRPGglad to see GTA vice city stories on there, it was my go-to choice for favorite psp game next to final fantasy 4 the complete edition.

Taki Udon c'mon! Give Retroid Pocket 3 a proper review and stop crying! LOL!
Any advice for input lag? . Playing in rhythmic game (as patapon) is noticeable. Thanks for your videos!!
Why did you have to set framskip? The game looks choppy and performance is objectively worse

This shud be $99 by now
Great for emulation if I'm too lazy to bring along my gamepad when travel
Colin Mcrae turn Simulate block transfer off it only slows down when the sun is on screen. Turning this off gives a marked improvement.
burnout is the dogs nuts

Is version 3g o 2g?
It's 3GB, but for PSP, the 2GB version would also be fine and you'd get the same performance.

WTH, The chipset not even better than Snapdragon 820
RP3 pass Just wait for RP3+...

x18s I own it I hate it controls are so terrible
That's why I'm waiting to see what the Powkiddy X28 is like before I purchase a Retroid Pocket 3.

wow i see you everywhere. you've been really trolling these rp3 reviews. if you hate it, why are you watching multiple videos of it?
