I've tried exactly the same as you did, but unfortunately I couldn't find my brand new S7-1200 :(
My setup is as follows:
Laptop Dell Inspiron 7520, Intel Core i5, 16GB RAM, 1TB Sata SSD, with Windows 10 Pro, TIA Portal v17 running in VMware Workstation Pro 16 with Windows 10 Pro.
- Brand new PLC Siemens S7-1200 connected directly to my laptop Ethernet card without any Ethernet switch
My question is: what is supposed to be the PC Ethernet card settings? They need to be "set IP address automatically" or to at an specific IP number?
First of all set the static IP address of your laptop (eg 192.168.0.2).
Then follow the steps mentioned in the video.
The laptop as well as the PLC may need to be restarted.
@@plctraining I've tried your tip, but it didn't work. I've downloaded the software Siemens PRONETA to my physical machine and finally I could set the IP address. Problem solved. Thanks.

Device Showing when i search with ISO Type of Communication with mac address both place
but, when i try to connect PC to plc S71200 using WiFi network and Ethernet both by using RJ 45 to TP Link USB 3.0 not connecting..
during IP address configuration mac address also not showing instead of mac add showing 00 00 00 00
