The BBQ skewer as a felting aid is brilliant!

I am like you regarding the 'finish' or 'perfectionist' smoothing. I much prefer a more rustic look as it lends itself to more 'character' in the creative piece. *I greatly appreciate your beautifully informative & lovely tutorials. *THANK-YOU!

Your wool is so consistent in thickness (before you start using it). Mine is very patchy (thin and thick) so more difficult to pull and wrap - it even tears. Think I must get better wool. Not carded batts … should I use roving? Thank you!

Hi Rose. Definitely use long carded lengths (not batts) or wool top/roving and you will find it so much easier, and get a nice consistent thickness. Hope this helps 🙂
