First boss let's goooo 🥳 The LEROY JENKINS!!!! at the end was perfect 💯✨ I can imagine the final epics scene being: " As Mahika rained down a rain of magic missiles pinning the Harpy Queen, our brave fighter Ulyssess seized the moment, used all of his strength ran and jump on the Queen and struck the final blow through her heart. The moment the Queen's Wings stopped moving, all the descending crawlers seemed to follow along, stopped at their track and crumbled to the ground in a heap of tainted flesh. With the violet mist quickly disappearing, all four of our heroes looked up to the sky, smell the morning sunlight and finally been able to enjoy a peaceful day... " The art style just remind me about DnD Thank you for playing Reto 🥰 Oh english is my second language so sorry in advance for any grammatical errors
A tip to creating characters: momentum + skill range with follow ability (for example swords) can do huge amount of damage and travel like half the map in one turn easily. Momentum caps at 500% and it is quite easy to do if you have few skill range bonus equipment or got it during lvl up. I suggest you try it, I think you will love it :D In this video you had skill range +1 which doesn't really show how powerful that combo is, I remember some of my runs where i got like +7 skill range on melee character easily
If you have trouble with armor, know that physical damage does double damage to armor. (magic damage ignores half the targets resistance and as you already know, range damage is less accurate the further the target is) (Also, crossbows are REALY good to finish off enemies, since they have a multi-hit main attack that ignores armor)
I'm kinda glad to see Reto was also barely hanging on when he finished Gildenberg. Most of the time when I play games he's already featured he's absolutely breezing through areas that I end up struggling with, but this time we were pretty even. He still did a little better than me(I already had the undead clawing at my circle, and I had maybe one or two action points between victory and defeat), but we both pretty much came down to a desperate all out blitz on the final harpy to end it. Can't wait to see how we compare on Lakeburg!
All units can move past their friends. I’ve seen multiple people, including myself, think that a stunned or slowed unit will prevent enemies from moving past them. But if a unit is slowed by 2 move points, they will move just slow enough for their buddy directly behind them to move up to the front. It does slow the enemy wave’s advance overall by 1 tile tho. Also, great episode!
I asked ChatGPT for a grateful and supportive comment: "Wow, what an incredible Let's Play of Last Spell! I love seeing skilled players like you take on this challenging tactical RPG with rogue-lite mechanics. Your commentary was so engaging and informative, and I really appreciated the tips and strategies you shared throughout the video. It's clear that you have a real passion for this game, and your enthusiasm is infectious! Watching you defend the last bastion of humanity with your squad of heroes and exterminate those fiendish monsters with magic and brute force was truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing your gameplay with us and for being such a positive and supportive member of the Last Spell community. Your videos are always a highlight of my day, and I can't wait to see what you tackle next!" I think it's on point :D
I just got back into the game myself a couple of days ago and I love it. I finished Gildenberg and had my first (failed) attempt at Lakeburg yesterday. I gotta say it's really interesting to see other players' playstyles. I love your videos btw and I hope that this series gets enough attention so that you can continue making videos for this game.
There's 4 primary defense mechanisms. Dodge, Resistance, Block, and Armor. There are counter stats for Dodge(Accuracy), and Resistance(Resistance Reduction). Armor is impacted twice as much by physical damage. Aka 50dmg punch is 100 dmg to armor. All magic damage ignores 50% of the resistance rating. Some moves have unblockable(crossbow and hammer) which ignore the block stat, which is particularly useful against blockers. Some moves have undodgeable(Shortbow, pistol?). So part of managing waves is the right weapons in the right places. Having hero's with two weapons that specialize against different defenses is also useful. like a support hero with both a magic weapon and a ranged weapon.
I wasn't expecting the birbs on my run and had the horrible luck to have the first one land RIGHT on my lone weakest character dealing her a crippling dmg right away. I still held on for a few more rounds but ultimately failed that night 🤣 Can't wait to see what the new zone is like and what it'll be like for you!
I just won my first boss fight because a guy with a hammer went hail mary and rushed towards the bird. My central square had 20 hp. I got the bird to 1/3 health and was like 'well im fucked' and was in shock as the enemy focused my walls and my decoy hero giving me the chance to kill the bird on the next round. Had a single enemy hit the central square that would have been gg
I keep trying to first try boss yesterday and by watching your video I figured out some strats, thank you :D So big harpies only come down when all little ones are dead, and since the waves are indefinite I can prolly spam more roadblocks and just ignore them
I kind of trivialized this fight with a lucky set up on my archer. I only had 3 heroes going into the fight, but my archer was insane... crossbow and offhand crossbow. A trinket that adds +1 multihit. And the specialist perk that removes your 2nd weapon and gives an extra use for your remaining weapon sets entire arsenal as well as some bonus damage. My archer could kill a harpy in a single turn :P Archer locked down one flank, mage the other and the main wave my invincible tank just held the enemies back through sheer block and armor. 2 of the 3 harpies spawned in shooting range of my archer who just instantly deleted them. Last one spawned on my tank who just held everything off until the archer closed in and finished. I definitely love this game, the build potential is just insane, you can make some truly broken stuff!
So, my knowledge of this fight. It could be wrong Spoilers ahead! Whenever the harpy queens land, they summon the wave of harpies, regardless of if they're roosting or going to fight. A queen cannot liftoff to land to fight you until all ground harpies are dead. If a harpy roosts, while there are harpies on the ground, her personal wave is delayed from being summoned until all harpies on the ground are killed Harpy Queens 2 and 3 show up after roughly 4 and 8 turns (Uncertain)

Awesome, and try not to be self conscious about your english, that was better than most of the native speakers I know
Bro, Your English is wayyyy better than most people, and that includes me 😅

I know it's not, but I'm going to say the return of the Revita "BEN!" will always make me laugh
That boss fight was AMAZING! Really became a nail-biter the further the night went on. Looking forward to seeing your venture into Lakeburg!
May this series continue on! Because I really want to see how the second city shapes up

@@FrogurtGuy true, deleted my comment.
I just finished the first map and loved the boss fight. It was intense!
This was a great campaign to watch. Good luck in Lakeburg! I'm certainly hoping we get to see it.
SUPPOOOOOOOORT! Running out of ideas for commenting to say that video and the series as a whole a very cool

Loved watching the boss fight! Edge of the seat til the end
R.I.P Reto from tutorial, his sacrifice was not in vain
ill just start quoting darkest dungeon queues
"This expedition, at least, promises success."
I dunno, this game seems more like a PERCHED ON THE VERY *PRECIPICE* OF OBLIVION!" game to me

❤FEED The Algorithm! Loving the series.
I wasn't a huge fan of the prerelease demo of this but it has grown into the tactical game I've wanted to see.
Still here. Still watching. Good stuff.
The harpy boss was really cool, glad to see how far this game has come since early access.
Amazing, stupendous! The algorithm's lack of generosity infuriates me! Good luck in Lakeburg!
Just in time for when I get up!
Keep the series going if you can! You're the best
