Get yourself a Tamiya handy drill. You will love it, it will NOT melt the plastic as you are drilling out the windows. As a bonus it too is a model kit. You have to put it together. It is also much cheaper than a dremel.

Hey there, I started to watch your video on this build, and I look forward to your progress. I am as well currently building this kit. I have all the windows drilled out, and now adding photo etch parts to add a little more detail. I took a brake from models for some time, and ready to get back into it. Just an FYI. It is not that hard to drill each and every single window out, and have them look very good. All you need is the correct drill bits, and file sets. Good luck.

I bought this kit [by Revell of Germany] a couple of years ago. I also bought the Photoetch set. Its sitting on my shelf. Not sure when I'll build it[?] I want to do a very good job! I'll be lighting it. :O) Cheers and kind regards from England. :O)

Is a lot of fun to put together, when you get to it you will like it. I think I will buy another one down the road and do it again to see how I have improved over the years.

greyphantom1000 I first saw the Voyager kit being built by Steve Neill. Those video's (which I watched over and over) is what prompted me to buy the kit! I love the tv series and so, it made sense to buy the kit. :O) Oh, I've subscribed!!! :O)

I really appreciate the subscription from you! I also was inspired by Steve and watched those voyager builds over and over again. So sad he took them down! Hopefully live gets a little less crazy in the next few months and I can start doing more videos again soon!

I didn't realise I posted the same reply twice! LOL! :O) Steve had to take the video's down due to the music at the end of the video. RUclips threw a hissyfit over copyright or something. Not Steve's fault. Shame as I enjoyed those video's! Did you build the Equinox?

    Good video. I like!
Food for thought for my $22 eBay Voyager (amen---all the parts are there!--it was opened). I bought it not to open my $66 shrink wrapped (first) eBay Voyager (both prices include shipping-eBay is all about timing---and wasting time!)
That bit you have I used and it's awful! Check Amazon for 1/32" drill bits-the spiral kind(6-7 for four bits). I think with those drill bits, you can drill much more accurately and without the styrene melting too much.
    Thank you for sharing!

i saw that on ebay for pretty cheap, i might do it for future builds. I see a lot of people using them too so i think thats good advice. thanks!

    Thanks Jack!
Your right the drill bit wasn't the best- it melted because the dremel was spinning to fast i think- It doesnt have a speed control. I switched over the tamiya handi drill and those problems are gone. There are a few things that i see i could have done better so i think at some point there will be a second voyager purchase in the future. Thanks For watching!
