    How does the gearing of the drivebase work? It looks kinda complicated and im not sure how you guys use 6 motors to drive all wheels equally

    • @8ooo1bdoubleplay15
      @8ooo1bdoubleplay15  2 года назад +2

      we use 3 powered 36t gears and 3 free spinning 36t gears to connect the 3 60t gears on the wheels so everything is powered, it's just a line of gears but some aren't powered

    Does it use odometry or any position tracking of any kind and what type of sensors?

    • @8ooo1bdoubleplay15
      @8ooo1bdoubleplay15  2 года назад +3

      no odom or tracking, just using pid loops with motor encoders, an inertial sensor, and a limit switch

    Yo is that a locking clamp i see? Even if not, very clean!

  • @shravansuresh4919
    @shravansuresh4919 2 года назад

    How do you start with your clamp down during auton? I noticed that you have the front clamp rubber banded for active extension which lowers the clamp down and passive retraction which pops the clamp up. Thanks in advance.

      We connected the piston to the solenoid so that the air is flowing into the piston by default. If you switch around some the two tubes on the outputs of your solenoid it should change the default piston position.

    how much does it weigh?

  • @paulbunyan3drc251
    @paulbunyan3drc251 2 года назад

    How many actuation are you getting from your clamp. I'm getting about 15-20. The solenoids are close to the pistons. I am running 2 tanks hooked together end to end. What should I do to improve it?

    • @8ooo1bdoubleplay15
      @8ooo1bdoubleplay15  2 года назад

      If you don’t have a pressure regulator limiting psi allowed into the solenoid then add one, otherwise theres not much else you can do.

  • @cubed9003

    how many pistons do you use for your back tilt also could you do an explanation video

    • @8ooo1bdoubleplay15
      @8ooo1bdoubleplay15  2 года назад +1

      We use 1 for clamping and 2 for tilting, 3 in total

    Question.
    How did you connect your lift towers to the drivetrain? looks like you have a single point of connection with the 2x2 chan (not counting conveyor) is this stable???

    • @8ooo1bdoubleplay15
      @8ooo1bdoubleplay15  2 года назад

      Yeah thats our only connection, the intake 1x1 L channels brace the lift bar well and we have had no issues with it

    • @kyosant
      @kyosant 2 года назад

      Another question. Do you have any tipping problems when going up the ramp with such a tall lift?
