Because decorating fondant cake itself need lot of time and energy for me 😁, and also the consistency of fondant is really the most important, especially for covering fondant cakes. Hi Mech! Maybe I can answer it here. For coloring fondant I only use food coloring little by little, can be poured little by little or use a toothpick. And if my hands are sticky, I add the cornstarch, while continuing to knead. Just like that, Mech 😊😊 Hope it can answer your questions 🥰🙏

@@mechmonks3000 hi again Mech, for coloring fondant I usually use Gel/oil based food coloring. And for the elephant, I mixed blue, purple & little bit of black food color with toothpicks. 😊

Anytime I try and use fondant it becomes to sticky and I have to use a ton of powder which then stains it !! 😩 xx
What powder, CMC or Cornstarch?
It won't become sticky if you wear gloves or put vegetable shortening on your hands. Watch some videos for fondant beginners 😊

thank you for your tutorial. Could you possibly give us more detail like how many grams or ounces each piece is? I feel Im not getting the right size proportionate to each part of the lion etc. Maybe just note how many grams on leg, the body and the head are so we know how much fondant to shape. Thank you

Hii Ana Maria 😊 Yes, you can make them in advance. Dry them in the ac room until theyre dry and hard, then you can continue to keep them in the ac room or move them in to a clean closed container (dont keep fondant toppers in fridge, because of the wet air in it ) Toppers can last a long time sis, so you can make them 1-7 days before making the cake.

Hi Andika! 😊🙋♀️ Freshly bought fondant is indeed very soft, mushy/squishy and easy to shape. In order not to be too squishy, you can add fondant with CMC, then mix them well. Or like you said, fondant parts can be dried first in the AC room (such as the body and head), then after they're hard , then stick them together, I used to do it like that when I was selling cakes 😊👍

Hi I just loved your animal tutorial but I have one question how to stick on fondant cake?
If I need to insert stick than when should I insert after drying or before moulding? I tried at that time but it was to soft so I only insert little toothpick for support of head but for topper to stick on fondant I could not insert.

Hii, Kalyani 😊 I suggest you use a skewer (thicker) to make it stands sturdier than using a toothpick. And when making it, you can make it on Styrofoam with the skewer that extends downward. Then after drying it in an AC room, it can be transferred and sticked to the cake. Or it could be like the method in the video, but you have to add tylose powder / CMC and dry it in an AC room, so that the topper hardens. And to glue it to the cake, you can mix a little bit of fondant with water as glue 😊

Hi, Secret Recipe Pakistan 😊 I use the Fondx brand, before drying the fondant looks shiny because it is wet from food coloring, but after drying in the AC room it is not shiny anymore. It can shine again if the fondant softens due to wet air (air when it rains, or in the fridge).
Can i put some liquid clr onto the white n then to make different figures ??
