Info on 'Jane'. This woman was the subject of a blog called 'shesnoplainjane' that ran from 2009-2010, that was produced by her offspring. Jane is/was currently a make-up artist for the BBC.
From the blog: "When I was last back at the parent’s house, I had a nose through Jane’s old photos of when she was a teenager and begged her to send me some scans so I could add a touch of her young and hip 60’s style for y’all to see. So here comes the first of those scans, Jane when she was 17, with her first car - a Morris 1000. Jane tells me, “I resprayed it in the latest trendy colour of yellow ochre and my mates dubbed it the yellow submarine after the Beatles song of the time. Trouble was everyone knew where I was, as it was the only one like it in Cardiff at the time ...and I wasn't always where I should have been....!!”

It's amazing how slow time can go when young and how fast it goes when old.🕛
I am beginning to suspect that it's a real physical phenomenon. Time may actually go faster when you are getting older.
Like a record. The grooves are smaller towards the end.
Its all about the amount you fill in the gaps, if there are no difference between this hour and the last time will fly, if you are out and about(young); time will slow down by the factor of your experiences.
As almost always, it's perception, not the world around you. :) There are studies, asking young and old people to close their eyes and keep them closed for an estimated one minute.
Young people open their eyes after the one minute mark, older people before.
I am amazed at the 1:55 photo. How can this woman swim through all those flowers?

At 1:47 there is a picture of a young woman entitled "Swimming in the USSR". Despite the bathing suit she is wearing, I doubt she is swimming. She is holding a bunch of flowers and appears to be in a field of daisies.
It was great to see that photo of Betty White as a twenty something young woman. Also, thanks for the 40s photo of Norma Jean

The best photo in this selection is the girl JANE at the very beginning, I think she’s looking proud in front of her Morris 1000. I don’t think I know her as being someone famous, she looks happy though and very very pretty, I feel if I’d known her I would definitely liked her a lot. She looks a lot like my girl friend at the time, she had the exact same car to.

Jimmy Stewart was in the military during this time. So, he wasn't simply Jimmy Stewart and Ginger Rogers. He was Second Lieutenant Jimmy Stewart and Ginger Rogers. He took his service seriously. We should at least acknowledge it.
There's something about seeing the past that is just sad, I guess it's just evidence of what can never ever be again, like a picture of a chance, that you'll never have ever again. I don't know, - is that dumb.

I had to look twice to realize the blonde girl photo was taken in 1968 and not in 2022. Seriously, you can take her in a time machine and drop her in a college party today and no one will notice any difference.

Am I the only one totally horrified by the baby bike seat at about 1:25? I suppose the glass could very possibly be tempered, as I believe that was invented before the turn of the 20th century, and might even have been laminated like modern auto glass, as I believe that actually existed by the 19teens, although as I recall some pretty grisly things had to happen before the auto industry widely adopted it. Whatever type of glass it might be, in a photo taken in the 1920s that is definitely not any kind of polycarbonate or plexiglass, so if the parent piloting the bike happened to cut a corner a bit close and clip a lamppost, never mind accidentally laying the bike over somehow, that infant is definitely getting a fence full of sharp shards of glass in a best case scenario. If it’s not tempered glass, beheading is a pretty likely outcome.
Just relax. Take your meds, you’ll feel better. There is NO evidence that ANYTHING happened to the child! Nothing to get excited about. And certainly nothing to go on a rant about.
