  • Can't come up with a good name for this video. At the very end of February, my parents offered me to go down to Florida for a few days if I did some work on the two cars we have down there at the condo. So then they had me look for fairly cheap tickets, which I managed to find on Breeze Airways, and before I knew it the flights were booked. I checked all of the scheduled flights in and out of RSW on Flightradar24 to see if there were any special livery or widebody aircraft coming in while I was down there. There was no shortage of special liveries on the 28th; in fact, they were coming in all scattered throughout the day. I only had one full day down there, as my flight to RSW was on the 27th and my returning flight was on Leap Day. So, since I needed to get everything with the cars done, I decided it would be best if I caught the two special liveries departing the airport on the morning of the 28th (they landed the night before and stayed there overnight). The two special liveries I caught were both on Boeing 737-900ER's: the United Airlines Continental Heritage livery and the Alaska Airlines Boeing 100 Years Strong livery. I also attempted to get some footage from the night of the 27th (mainly to catch UPS and FedEx departing), but it was dark out so it was hard to make out the aircraft and my CyberShot had a hard time staying in focus. So I ended up ditching that footage since it didn't exactly turn out the best. Another interesting thing is that the airport kept having pattern changes on the 27th and 28th because the winds were mostly blowing from the south. It kept going back and forth between westbound and eastbound operations. While I was recording the flights for this video, there were eastbound operations, but immediately after the last clip, they had switched back to westbound operations. Enjoy!
