m pretty sure that soldier is Rustys dad considering the red tail of his and the fact that maybe they know each other from the school. Im sure because of that connection, Rustys dad couldnt shoot Bandit or his kids. Cause if it was any other dog, Im sure they wouldve taken the shot. But knowing that Bluey is a friend of his son and perhaps having a connection with Bandit, he just couldnt. And seeing Bingo, the youngest crying was probably the last thing he needed to see before finally deciding not to shoot them. I am just sad and wondering what happened to Chilli. 😢
