    Not a RUSS fan, but two parties signed his contract, the Broncos football team and Russell Wilson, A CONTRACT registered with the league. So Sean "Bounty" Payton, a despicable human being, decided he didn't want Wilson and this was a ploy to get him to leave or quit or whatever. THAT'S why the players' association got involved.

    • @AD-vg6nj
      @AD-vg6nj 5 месяцев назад +5

      Well if a player wants a new CONTRACT that both he and the team signed then he just sits out right? In this case the the team is unhappy with the contract, really no difference.

      @jayraider521614 The dead money on their salary cap is their penalty. When has a player got penalized for sitting out? They never pay the fines associated with missing team activities.

    • @jayraider521614
      @jayraider521614 5 месяцев назад +14

      @@AD-vg6nj wrong...the whole reason they're doing it is to get out of the additional year on his deal. They're not being penalized at all. They're actually paying less money than they contractually agreed to. Last it is documented players get fined for missing team activities. Players who hold out get fined for missing Minicamp and pre-season games.

      idk i suspect the NFLPA got involved bc what was said behind closed doors was a lot worse than 'accept a worse deal or else get benched' and more like 'or else we'll end your career, smear your good name, and keep you out of the hall for good' because Payton is just that much of a petty bitch lmao

      That’s for sure debatable Jesse . Dude literally has one of the better O lines he has ever had but still refuses to stand in and let a play develop or utilize the middle of the field other than a dump to the rb. Dude is an effective game manager but in all reality hinders the offense. Great dude great teammate but if that’s not the offense Sean wants to run it is what it is. If your boss didn’t like you and you aren’t performing to standards. You would also be fired. Feelings are not in business for a reason. And they definitely have no place in football. If stidham will utilize the middle of the field and let routes develop I think the entire fan base is gonna go huh coach has a point. At the same time either way it blows in Sean’s face for either not making the move sooner or being completely wrong. With that being said I don’t actually want Russ to be released but I also don’t blame the coach for seeing what he has when the season is already over . Literally happens year after year.

He can’t perform to his true potential with that sorry team and that cancer of organization. Sean Payton is scum and just using Russell as a scapegoat for the failure that he is as a coach. His time and spotlight revolved around Brees and without him he was a nobody, that’s why he “retired”. And yes, I’m still salty because of the “bounty gate” he had with my Niners. Such a dirty coach.

      Uh, it's not his fault in the fucking slightest. You correctly said it yourself, he can't do much with this sorry ass offense. The fact he has the same amount of TDs and 2x LESS picks than Mahomes who has a better offense in every possible aspect says it all. No QB could've won more games with that team than Russ.

      I don’t care much for Sean Payton. He’s about as tyrannical as a HC can get. What I will say though is the stats don’t tell the whole truth. When receivers are wide open, he doesn’t see them and then chooses to check down which often results in negative plays. Even when his protection was good, he chose to move out of the pocket instead of trusting his O-line and has a hard time holding onto the ball when he tries to scramble (which I wouldn’t have much faith in the O-line either even though there has been improvement). At the end of the day, Russ has improved dramatically from the previous year but he is not operating an efficient offense. Some of it is play calling but when you choose the check down every chance you get, it’s a bad sign and it’s not what an organization wants to see when they’re paying someone $245mil

    To be fair, if they want to improve the o-line, then they're going to have to find some money. I can see both sides of it, but he's not performing to the contracts standards, and if he wants to win, he needs better players on the team. Restructuring a contract, so your team has a chance at acquiring better players, is not uneard of. You need money for that. If they had a winning group, then money wouldn't be issue.
