Excellent tribute to Joe who did so much for PSU. ...and for college football...I started there in 1958 and often met him walking on campus. I have not contributed one penny since they destroyed him for no reason at all.

Me too, buddy. I guess I'll cheer for Wisconsin, if anyone, since Bobby Engram coaches there now.

It was a joke that McGloin wasn't the starter throughout 2010. He was easily the best QB. Walk-ons get treated like dog shit no matter where you go or what sport.

It was an even bigger joke that he had to share the role again in 2011.

Joe, made Penn State, promoted College Football, one of the most accomplished Coaches in the sport. Was made a scapegoat. A real shame he was tried in the court of public opinion. Still saddens me to see how He was treated. Just plain wrong!

This was my first game at Happy Valley. I celebrated my 40th birthday that weekend and had the time of my life.

I love how Tom Rinaldi prepares the piece on JoePa and then 2 years later makes no apologies for taking part in destroying him without any evidence and just public opinion. Shows how superficial ESPN people are.

The poise... Down by 21, and yet never thought that they were out of the game.

35 consecutive UNANSWERED points. If the performance by Silas Redd against Northwestern is any indication of what he can do consistently, he could be the most explosive back in the country in 2011. He just needs an O-line that can get him through the first hole and then-look out when he gets into space and gets up a head of steam. Man, what a player!
