Like in this IEM, we have Serral - Maru and Dark - Reynor in the Ro8, meanwhile HM got Zoun and Solar, who are good players but not really title contenders. Had HM face the top guys early, he wont make it deep.

@@themaavpage8169 You really do not know, what is meant choke for Heromarine, but okay. He even said on stream, that this was probably his best performance in an important match, not that he can´t improve anymore. This lose makes him stronger.
It's just soul crushing that HM might never get a big win. He just plays the wrong race. His solid rehearsed style would be perfect for Zerg. He's starting to get the right idea - don't play standard, take risks in the playoffs, be unpredictable, but unfortunately you basically have to be Maru to be able to pull it off, and he's not Maru. Otherwise there's a lot that has to go your way in order to win a packed tournament as Terran, it might never happen.
that's not fair to say , he beat several other best zergs in the world to get to the semi finals and won the first 2 games vs raynor , and there were plenty of mistakes costing both players their games
Funny enough its Maru who playing Zerg more standard nowadays, because he knows he can just turtle and get into super late game and win it there. HM is doing better than Maru at doing non-standard opening and all-in to get wins, not because Maru cant do it but he choose not to a lot of times.

Did HeroMarine's micro suddenly got worse in game 3 and onwards?
Game 3 could have been Heromarines, if he would have gone to some mines and hellbats and libs instead of tanks.
Mines are always good if you can micro them, and I don't know why he didn't use them.
Or even that +2 armour.... might already make the difference...
Against Lurker/Hydra tech? You need Tanks and Ghost, Libs cant out-micro Hydra, and Mines are also useless against Hydra.
