Gosh! Chef Air catering truck alongside a Taj-SATS one serving this AI on stand. Tatas, it seems, finally folded up this AI kitchen. Perhaps they're using the rolling stock not for grub but laundry etc. as flight supplies? I'm curious to know what the Tatas would do with the plant, inventory etc. which was located as one drove from T-2 arrivals immediately to the left. Incidentally, the old Taj flight kitchen, which some of us are old enough to recall, is now a Taj Ginger. Then Taj Air Caterers, and even earlier, Taj Flight Kitchen. The place was a shell for decades until I saw it on a recent trip. Back to Chef Air: AI's IGI T-3 lounge food & drink was godawful, as I recall it, in June '16; no surprise as supplied by Chef Air. Friendly staff member told me just 1 or 2 flights from BOM & DEL were catered by Chef Air. Recall him mentioning Male, Bahrain and Indore. Don't think it ever stood a chance, even all those yrs ago, with Oberoi, Taj, and Skychef, B'bay's 'Big 3', who pretty much carved up the catering market among themselves.
