The Philippines can be a very dysfunctional country on so many levels, as its like time stood still in many areas in technology. I thinkthey don't automate anything because afraid it will lay off people from their minimum wage jobs. Minimum wage in the Phils is not done to help people, but to hold people down as all pay the same. Sadly in the Philippines a cluster F often just comes with the ride. Prayers to you!!

Not sure you're budget but by the way you describe all those expenses it's seems the budget is very limited. At least in US you have social programs and other resources until you get SS. You're going to need followup appointments. Do you really trust the Philippines for that?

seems like Dumaguete is a good retirement option until you have a serious medical issue. I had an echo cardiogram in December in Dumaguete at Silliman, had it redone back in Canada when I got home , and the specialist here reviewed the one done in Dumaguete and said did they maybe get the results switched up with someone else's results. As they were totally different results. I hope you get your issues figured out soon. Hard to believe a hospital anywhere cant figure out how to drain an abdomen with Ascites

I am from the Boston area with a spousal 13a visa and have personal experience dealing with hospitals in USA and Philippines. You can trust your life with St Lukes. Asian Hospital is a close second. No reason to go to Thailand. Good luck!

Second best hospital to St. Luke is Adventist Medicine Center in Pasay. Hope this helps. Per my husband.
Onward passage ticket's are about $10 USD. Look online. No need to buy onward tickets if you don't know your schedule

That's what we do. Haven't been able to stay for more than a year at a time anyway.
Balikbayan visa or 13a (marriage visa). You only have to go to immigration once a year.

MY wife was diagnosed with cancer on her kidney while they were trying to diagnose her GBS that was a year ago ,yesterday was the first time they gave her another ct scan basically to see if I got bigger ,wait until26th for results..if not,they will not be doing anything with the cancer..welcome to Canada..lol no sense of urgency ,you die before u get an appointment,however she was told that cancer could stay the same size for next 20 years..her gbs isgetting better ..very slowly,I blame covid shots she had 3

God works in amazing ways brother....1 half yrs clean from cancer and walking with cane from being Paralyzed in lower extremities..... I give all thanks to the good Lord......

I prayed and planned now im goin to st.lukes in manila.i got kids,1 has a job.2 are under age.We dont have any where in Colorado to live,no car,my wife would be driving me to denver .so supporting a family here in PI and u.s.cant afford it.would be 10,000 dollars just for airlines. U.s in Colorado where we made great money is dangerous for my kids and family. Ive always followed my instincts, haven't let me down yet.thanks for the go fund offer.
