    Thanks for this video. I can't afford a burberry trench coat. This video gave me some idea on how to make one, the materials to use, the inner layers, and type of stitches. Bravo for your excellent tailoring.

    Thanks a lot for such a useful video. It would be great you could divide a long videos into smaller parts and note it in the description for those finding a specific part like me ;)

      Aw thanks a lot for suggestion! For some of my videos RUclips does it automatically, for that video probably I will have to fix this issue by myself 👍😍

    I appreciate for your hardwork in making this amazing trench coat. Keep it up👍👍 by the way what's the colour of this fabric? And how much meter you used for the fabric?

      Hi ! Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤️ I think it was light greyish blue color of fabric and I will soon upload patterns on my Etsy shop, there will be sewing supply list, detailed sewing instructions and so on... Right now can say, that I spent like 2,5 meters of External fabric, there are also Lining and Interfacing I used.

    Is it necessary to use the adhesive interfacing? I can't seem to find it in my country.

      It's better to have yes, it will make fabric more durable and structured.

    Can we put the trench into washing machine ?

    • @svetadressmaker
      @svetadressmaker  Год назад +1

      Hi! Usually I don't put clothes that I make in a washing machine, I always handwash OR use delicate short washing program. As it almost your Haute Couture project that required accurate washing. Especially if most of stitches were done on domestic machine or by hand. :)

    I can't find a high quality fabric for a trench coat, can somebody help me?

    • @svetadressmaker

      I think originally Burberry's founder used a Twill Gabardine for creating his coat - it's a waterproof, medium weight, doesn't wrinkle so much, structural, warm enough for spring and autumn season and generally comfortable.
      For my project I used Lightweight Cotton Twill - so it's wrinkles a bit, but I wanted to achieve a soft and drapey silhouette.
      Check out in local shops, for example my town is small, with a population 120k, but even there I found once a great quality Twill Gabardine.😊
