gas station & convenience stores all have silent "panic buttons" under their counters, just like banks - This is exactly how it works: armed forces show up quickly ready for action 😎
The Limelighters was one of my favorite groups at one time. Liked Glenn's voice. Thanks for the visit to the past. Glad to hear he was a nice, helpful guy.
Nice video Jerry I always watch your videos it reminds me of my childhood ☺️ 5:19 Yes in Mexico they don't make a big deal a few officers do the job right and fast . In the States they call back up the swat team for a knuclehead driving reckless or intoxicated.
Amazing how quickly the police took care of things! I have been enjoying the raspberries and knowing where they come from makes me happy! Can't wait till I get to taste them there! It seems like a paradise there! I am working on my Spanish. August I hope to have my passport!
Jerry, I was hoping you would drive to the south side of the lake so we could get a look at what its like over there. Thanks for all the local tours lately

Yay another road trip! That was a lot of fun and exciting with the robbery and apprehension right in front of you. The Ostrich footage took the cake though. BTW - Lynn looks terrific! Thanks friend!
Great drive, worth the wait. And your correct, the berries do taste better in Mexico. Actually, everything tastes better in Mexico. I'll bet the hot dogs were even yummy. Smooch to Lynn.
Sheesh, witnessing a armed robbery! The police must have been close by to get there right away, wow. Funny how the attendants didn't see it as a big deal. Love the driving tours, going to do some myself there soon. Thinking of renting motorbikes and doing an around the lake tour, we'll see. Already making an Ajijic bucket list and your on it! ;) "We call it 7 Eleven", LOL. For future reference, for dog content, would you find more exciting dogs please. :D PS: Tell Lynn to ease up on those pancakes and just go with the butter. Keto is supposed to be "in"! :D
300k, 6 1/2 hours by Google maps, if you hug the lake on the poor roads. I went to Mezcala once, trying to go east to Morelia. I had to go all the way back to Chapala, as the roads were not good enough for my van.
That was a great travelogue. So much interesting stuff. Loved that ostrich display! Nice tribute to Glenn Yarbrough, and the perfect song choice, too! We 'oldsters' remember his music. Thanks!
Hi Jerry, Nice tour. That robbery was a little scary😮 I'm happy it ended with no injuries. Get ready for the comments...see I told you that Mexico is a dangerous! I live in a borough of New York City we had 4 violent homicides in 2 days this past week!
Hello JC and Lynn! What a nice display of courting you caught of the lovestruck ostrich! Also, I was quite thankful that you played Glenn Yarbrough's "Baby, The Rain Must Fall!" Good to hear that old favorite again!
This is exactly right where I want to relocate. I watched with rapt attention. Thank you for describing the land content and why it is such good farmland. Just the right kind of info I'm searching!
My husband and I watch your videos before he leaves for work in the morning...You were saying, "I saw the robbers, so what did Jerry do?" My husband immediately says, "You didn't check on Lynn!" :-) Good video as usual my friend!
Love your videos! I lived in Mexico for about 5years in a small town called Villamar that's about 2 hours away from Chapala in the neighboring state of Michoacan. Haven't been back to Mexico for about 30 years now. I must say, your videos make me home sick a little. Kinda makes me think about retiring in Mexico sooner than later. Thanks for showing everyone how great Mexico is and keep those videos coming!
Michoacan has gotten some bad press in the last few years, but I've spent time in Morelia, Patzquarro, Urapan ... great areas in the higher elevations. :)
I love your videos very relaxing awesome stuff that you share with us, thank you very much for taking the time to on making this videos for your friends, all the way from San Bernardino California thank you .
OMGoodness!! You sure were a lot calmer witnessing that robbery than I would have been...and you filmed it too. That was wild!!! Glad to see one can get a Belgian waffle in Ajijic. Thank you for the tour Amigo!
Thanks for giving us a peek at the towns surrounding Lake Chapalla. Like your new hair style. I looked Glenn Yarbrough -said he was cared by his daughter- at Nashville Tenessee- had several health issues and passed away at 86 on 08/11/2016. Interesting that you actually met him.
Omg! Lol! Jerry you put your hands up like you were under arrest for a second!! Lol. That was so funny bud! Then ran right for the camera to get some footage.."from behind the pumps"!😁! Its crazy how each of us responds to chaotic moments that we are not used to seeing. You did great!! My best to you and Lynn!! Good to see her as well!! Craig..Mn

That was awesome. Nice to see Lynn! The butter with waffles looked so delicious!!!! Shes on to something divine there!!!!! So nice to see all of that area, and loved all the cute and funny parts...yes there were a few! Your videos are so fun!
Hi Jerry, Great tour! It's neat to see those cool towns and roads plus hear related anecdotes. You're good at sharing experiences, and documenting this stuff is not only entertaining for your audience here but leaves memories for your family, all while helping with expenses. I, too, love driving in Latin America. Drivers act way more attentive there. It's a paradise for skilled drivers because we can get away with exercising those skills. We don't need traffic control devices, as we take responsibility instead of blaming others or circumstances for our screwups. The rules are more about spirit than letter, and the traffic cops aren't pulling people over for random stuff. Cool music you blended in there. And kudos for controlling the level at a few dB down so it isn't pegging the meters, unlike so many inattentive creators. Cheers!
I enjoy your description of the driving experience for SKILLED drivers and totally agree. For a nervous driver it can be a nightmare where you and I find sport. :)
Wonderful! I really appreciate and enjoy this tour around the lake. Great stories and descriptions with a little crime drama for additional excitement. Looking forward to the next one! 🙂
Man I got to say Jerry that was the smoothest bank robbery I've ever seen from start to finish no one got excited no drama it looks like it went down really smooth I'm glad you guys are okay keep up the good work
I don't do well in loud restaurants. Driscol Farms! We have those here in Washington. West coast. Another great neighborhood video. Good to see the misses doing better.
Thanks Jerry and Lynn for this wonderful tour you took and shared with us. As usual I am looking forward to watch your videos. I enjoy them very much. Judy, Las Vegas
Thank you Linda. Don't let my reaction below to your recommendation for Lynn's health annoy you. I get about 10 miracle suggestions a day from people who don't know the medical history of the patient they think they can cure. :)
Jerry, sorry about the delay replied. Thats has allways being the life style of my hometown, but I whas very happy to see my small town on a world video Thanks to you .
I had been to chapala a few occasions seemed like a little sleepee town but I never thought that there was much going on around the lake, nice views will have to come down to visit again, thanks for the ride

Can you please share the title of the music you recorded beginning at 19.20? It takes me back to my childhood when my mother was teaching me to dance to this song. Thanks for all your videos and especially these guided tours. Blessings!
Once again your video has me laughing out loud. Wow, what a day. The sleepy town and dog were just there to offset the robbery in place and the excited ostrich, lol. Maybe he was trying to scare you off instead of the other way around. Loved the tour. Love your driving tours. Lynn looks great. Glad she's doing so well now. There are a number of things I don't like about Mexico. Topes and toilets with no seats are at the top. Anyway, had a great time. Thanks.
I love butter with a side of waffle too myself. 🤣 Awesome tour as well. How many speed bumps? There's a bunch by my house. I'm going to count speed bumps. I don't like them much either. The bumps are not Corvette friendly either! LOL. Another gourmet meal in Mexico. No Jalapeños on your hot dogs? I'll always smile when dining on a hot dog after this video. 🤣🤣.

Amazing to see how quickly and aggressively they had the bad guy. I guess no "little bites" for armed robbery! Maybe they get a commission or reward per prisoner as incentive. That was a little scary... You did a great job of warning the gas pump guy AND GRABBING THE CAMERA! The police response was amazing here would be 32 cop cars and all of them standing around talking for 4 hours. Btw the robbers are half a block away at Dunkin Donuts watching eating donuts.
Jerry, you sure know how to make me feel older than dirt. That clip of Glenn Yarbrough was wonderful. He hailed from Milwaukee, as do I. Sadly, he died of complications of long-term dementia.
Jerry, Great video! it was very good to see Lynn on the road with you again and in good spirits! It is very nice to find your new videos expecting my when I open RUclips. Keep them coming!
I am enjoying these tour videos, makes me want to go back to Jalisco even more. A few weeks ago when I was out there a friend mentioned Mazamitla and said next time I go she' ll take me and my kids out there. I had no clue where it was, but now I loom forward to it!! The gas station situation 😂the worker looked like it was just like any other day, not scared, not surprised either😂 thats is one of the things I like about being out there, not having to pump your gas and they will also check your tires too. Great content I now look forward to your next videos!! Lynn is a sweetheart 💜💜
When first in Mexico I was intimidated by the driving clearances, but after driving in India, on the wrong side, with 1/4 the Mexican clearance, weaving around cows and oxen carts and tuk-tuks, Mexico is a piece of cake.
Jerry, you're a saint for taking care of your wife the way you do.
Saw you had a new video, paused the computer, made a cup of coffee and came back to watch. Loved going for a drive with you and Lynn. Thank you!
same here, couldn't have said it better 👍🏻👍🏻
Now that's what I call great Police work They got there quick and caught the thief
gas station & convenience stores all have silent "panic buttons" under their counters, just like banks - This is exactly how it works: armed forces show up quickly ready for action 😎
I really appreciate the fact that you did not click bait...scary...could have happened anywhere there is a convenience store.
I really thought about an armed robbery thumbnail and title. Thanks for noticing I resisted. :)
Yeah, I bet a lot of people would have put "Scary Day in Mexico" or worse
“Butter with a side of waffle”! 🤣 Just how I take mine!! Hahaha!!

Jerry, it's amazing that you were there to record the robbery, there are good Mexican police even they don't earn good.
Does this happen every day
